Heyaaa I'm trying to get more into anatomy because I wanna draw cute esoteric anime girls, I mostly wanna emulate that MDE/World Happy Daddy Sam Hyde aesthetic, I made this design and some other stuff I'm gonna attach. If any of you have criticism/recommendations/things you want me to do go ahead and say it, sorry if I sound self important, I mostly lurk.
Lurking is fine. Sorry about the board looking ridiculous, I'm hoping the 8chan admins change it soon, I can't see shit. I wish they would think of a more subtle way to announce this site's birthday than completely destroying the usability of our board but it is what it is for now. >criticism You are a very early beginner, you have too much work to do for individual criticism of these pieces of drawing and photo editing to be of any value to you. You need to work on the basics and build complexity from there, but I don't want to discourage you from playing around and doing personal work either.
If you want to learn more about anatomy specifically, see the practice thread and look into some of the resources there. There are some good 3D models and some books on anatomy and figure drawing in the sticky that may be applicable.
>>4771 if you actually tried to show more of the body of you characters, people could critque what you've drawn. Proko - JewTube channel watch his anatomy playlist and study after watching a video. That should kwept you busy for a few months, after which your atuff should look significantly more realistic. You don't need to draw muscle men for anatomy to be really useful, because it still has a great deal of impact on the outline and contours of soft body types. sage for creating a thread that could've been avoided using the QTDDTOT-thread.

Selling crypto drugs Anonymous 08/28/2021 (Sat) 15:52:13 No. 3967 [Reply]
I just saw some people here interested in NFTs and promoting their own stuff, so here is mine: https://opensea.io/collection/pre-rolls I just started this year and plan to keep doing it for a long time. Most of them are free (plus gas charges). If you just want to share your opinion and not buying it's fine too, after all I am still learning.
17 posts and 3 images omitted.
>>3992 I would not buy NFTs and >1000USD is not really a small amount of money.
>>3993 I was talking an average judging by what is usually spent in famous creators, but ok, what kind of NFT related content calls your atention the most? sport players NFTs, collectibles, 3D renders...? Also consider that some of them include meet and greets with celebrities or limited edition products like shoes
>>3991 If you are serious about making money through nfts I suggest looking into shill packages by pro shillers. It takes at least $10k in marketing for a successful nft launch though so if you can't even afford 0.5 ETH you should forget about it.

I don't know if /loomis/ is purely digital but I just started with oil paint (i mean absolute utter shit tier novice) after sticking to dry techniques all my life. Anyone got any advice because so far its really fucking hard for me.
>>3835 If you're a super novice, but used to dry mediums, you'd probably immensely benefit from learning basic underpainting/overpainting techniques. There are a bunch of schools for how to actually underpaint and what that does, but at the end of the day >the underpaint provides a guide for the overpaint >you should never have to fight the underpaint Once you have a strong underpainting basis you can experiment with one oil painting for indefinite amount of time until it is "right".
>>3837 Honestly these obvious revelations I'm going through right now. I mean, its honestly very fun, but I feel like there is more learning than actual creating and my canvas looks like a shitpickle. Maybe My initial concept is way ahead of my skill level but I want to see it through and a learning experience.

>>3775 You sell NFTs like you would actual physical paintings. You're either promoting it on your own or paying some other smuck to offload it for you. I recommend having actually interesting art and growing your base organically if you don't have the funds to artificially promote. Just think of it like this, if someone were buying a physical painting from you, why should they buy *your* shit specifically?
>>3776 Where the fuck do I promote it then, like I said I hate social media. Fuck do I just print it out with a QR code and illegally put it up on my streets?
>>3779 >I hate social media Tough shit because that's a pretty normalfag way of doing it. >Fuck do I just print it out with a QR code and illegally put it up on my streets? Sure, why the fuck not? Better than doing fucking nothing like you currently are. Why should anyone give a shit about you? Give them a reason to give a shit about you.

Vector vs Raster Anonymous 02/07/2021 (Sun) 22:10:31 No. 1660 [Reply]
So I'm relatively new to digital art, and I was wondering what the differences between Vector and Raster format is? I've been watching some videos on the subject, and from a brainlet's point of view, one would wonder why anyone would draw in raster over vector? With that being said, (knowing that I'm a brainlet) surely vector art isn't some kind of end all be all format and that it is a tool with specific purposes and disadvantages compared to raster? I guess what I'm trying to say is that the videos and information I've looked up don't really say any advantages and disadvantages, or why/when you should use one over the other, just the key differences.

>>3733 Fuck webp
>>3733 >>3735 >>3736 use of webp has increased extremely slowly since it was created, mostly by large technology companies who care about bandwidth. since nobody in real life has heard of it and some other big companies don't care e.g. microsoft (windows) and adobe (photoshop) lots of normalfags can't view or edit webp without using a web browser, if they even know to do that. this lack of support and "brand awareness" for has caused the adverse reaction seen in this thread to be extremely common. e.g. "what is this gay webp shit that i can't open in photoshop?" the situation would probably be the same for webm but it isn't because imo of 4chan starting to accept webm in ~2014. the video formats webm supports, vp8 and vp9 (and av1 now) have no hardware encoding/decoding support (meaning they're very slow) and it took years for windows to support it and idk if adobe has yet still. all these things would lead to webm being hated by normalfags, but the name is well known so it isn't. by normalfags i mean everyone who isn't into this stuff and uses videos/images purely pragmatically. no offense to the normalfags itt.
>>3741 I don't like it because I have to save it as a different format if I were to upload it to a site. Simple as

hello...any tips to draw curves for this turned car wheel(yellow), given relative shapes like the wheel's hole(blue) or given vanishing point lines (green) of the subjects so to make it right? I also find the innee circle(red) conpletely confusing to draw to "correction" and fail to find any good reference to build the lines... basically, how do i draw the correct curves/line from my mwmory to represent the subject/image as correctly as possible?

anyone ever get stuck with their ideas so much they fear of changing to another thing? like stan lee likes ironman so he just sticks ironman in all other marvel stories universe how do you dwi? since life dont just go your wat obv especially how marvel just do that thing they do only, maybe to be original and avoid infringement too idk
>>2359 Your post is hard to follow, but I think I understand what you're asking. It's good if you have an idea that you really like, but I also think it's important to be able to detach yourself from the idea. If the idea is naturally changing itself from one form into the other, try to put aside any personal attachment and ask: is it changing for the better or worse? It might be that the new idea has the parts of the old idea that you like, but also adds something else you prefer. Maybe it discards some part of the old idea that wasn't very good. I think this is a relevant interview for the discussion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4b9YuMIwXk Between the 35 minute to 50 minute mark, the topic of leaving projects behind comes up. There's nothing wrong with taking an idea, working on it and doing something with it, and then just stopping. It might be a really good idea, it's probably not the best idea you'll ever have, and it's definitely not gonna be the last one you have. I think it's good motivation to know that you haven't yet had your best ideas. But if you get stuck on the same idea for too long, you end up stalling when you could move on to better ideas. Also, I'd recommend listening to the whole interview. I think it's pretty good, and Psychicpebbles has some good insight into working creatively.
>>2361 aw man, good content, thanks i ll chek it out slowly. well i dont know about good idea, i get stuck easily with original idea because i dont have any solution to just move on to new things... it s not very easy for me. basically wanting your first move to be excellent to the crowd to ensure enough repeat business? does that make sense? like wanting batman to be a hit so superman can run or hoping that superman is a hit so you can do flash and also include supes in it? whst do you call this? anxiety? i have some ideas i really like and im not sure i know how to just change away from it. its terrible.

3D Animation/Modelling Thread Anonymous 04/11/2021 (Sun) 16:47:22 No. 2333 [Reply]
About 2 months ago I started dicking around in blender doing 3D viewmodel animation using models I found on sketchfab (mainly TastyTony's Low-Poly shit). More recently I've been practicing character animation using a crude stickfigure-esque model I've rigged up to do very basic motions like pullups, running, and pushups. I'm gonna get into modelling eventually but right now I'm more interested in animation. Got a couple of examples of what I've been working on experimenting with camera motions and some other shit. I'll share some of the resources I've been using, but I'd appreciate it if some anons would care to share anything they've been doing. I haven't tried using the graph editor at all, I've been just posing each limb and keyframeing it. I don't have resources that I've been using for character animation as I've just recently started practicing it, but regardless here's some of the stuff I've been working on. I've done a lot more, but either accidentally saved over it or didn't export it. >Resources Hyper's Reload animation tutorial: old but still has some good info [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzLnkpBQUfA] Thriftydonut's tutorial: very helpful for showing how to rig properly [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV6XP-EDzw8] Polybagel's tutorial: showing how to use the graph editor [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbuD3-UZV8c] TastyTony's Low-Poly gun models: Despite being Low-Poly they're well detailed and simple enough to use for animations [https://sketchfab.com/TastyTony/models] First Person rigs [https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qdpF8W4aI1CPiv6usZVBpkXShqER4syVpLfv6R1HCck/edit]
Looking pretty good, man. I was thinking of using 3D to supplement my work for inorganic subjects like buildings and vehicles so I appreciate the resources.

This is mine for drawing and painting styles. I would need far more room to squeeze in all subject matter that inspires and influences me.
>>2249 I like that Barbucci Italian guy in the bottom left quite a bit, that style has a lot of appeal to me. Good taste overall. I think I recognize most of that material besides the bowman-and a decent portion of it is on my own influence map. >Empowered I'm glad/surprised he's kept up with it over the years even if I've never been an avid (or even casual, really) reader. There are some pretty good panels in that one, not just the cheesecake stuff either.
>>2250 >Good taste overall. I think I recognize most of that material besides the bowman Thanks. Bowman is Rosinski's Thorgal. He illustrated Thorgal for years, moving between classic European comic art style, more modern one, and various painting techniques. His pencils and inks are on the gritty side, and in my opinion a sweet spot between old and new European style. His paintings have a strange, fairy tale quality to them and good chunk of Thorgal comics is fully painted. >Empowered Warren is great at drawing action, probably best artist in the U.S. when it comes to it. His work on texture and shading is very good too. He drew Empowerd just in pencil and on printer paper, the same medium I enjoy the most. Warren might be retiring from drawing soon, as his right hand is busted and Empower is almost finished.
