Designated thread for all website feature requests. If you don't like the way the UI works, if you notice any bugs, or just have some general feedback then you can post it here.
Edited last time by codexx on 12/13/2020 (Sun) 04:54:03.
>>3432 >Any specific hour for this? Almost happened this morning, but missed the window. Waiting for posting activity to die down a little. Probably after sundown, EST. >Also, will the CSS rework you talked about some time ago break custom themes? I expect it will. Anyone who can fix the themes themselves should, but we can probably help with a few. Should be easier going forward.
Bottom replies should show under images on posts without text. Instead they show up next to the images making them look like they're apart of the post message. See >>>/v/378640
Threads pushed past the bump limit via spam, then having that spam deleted will still have the bump lock status. Also, wondering if clicking on reply multiple times will trigger multiple similar posts. Running Waterfox 2021.07 on Windows 10, not that it makes much of a difference.
The ability to filter entire boards from the homepage.
>>3901 >>3899 Also a reply button that isn't fucking spammable you dip
<<3390 <This site being more restrictive than cuckchan Objectively untrue, and everyone with a functioning brain knows it.
>>3901 Probably not happening, but it might be feasible on Overboard. Failing that, you can make a multiboard with just the boards you want. >>3902 There's flood-prevention but it's something like 10 seconds per-post. This is something hardcoded into LynxChan, but I agree there's room for improving spam-detecting heuristics. >>3899 Flood detection should prevent accidental double-posting, even if the post is send twice. I think the bumplock behavior is intentional and matches functionality on other imageboards. But it's worth reconsidering.
More than a year later and sage is still broken for me. Yes, I know it's supposed to be silent, but it still bumps the thread to the top, with javascript enabled and without.
>>3953 It was disabled when 2.6 rolled out because of some instability. I haven't had a chance to diagnose the problem yet. Just use "sage" in the e-mail field for now.
add pinning and restoring +other things to the board logs
Link text would be a cool feature to have. It would make announcement posts look neater, since you could integrate the links into the text talking about them, instead of just having a wall of links after the post.
Please implement the ability to edit filenames before submitting them to save of from the plague of ClipboardImage.png.
>>4264 It's already on the list of nice extras. For now, you can use "Strip Filenames" to ensure every file has a unique name.
The watched threads feature needs attention. When you've added enough threads it doesn't wrap or anything, it just goes beyond the viewport so you can't see the ones at the bottom. Also board URI's should be listed next to each individual thread. Could the former problem be solved with custom css I wonder? Guess I'll experiment later.
Random board button, with a sfw checkbox in addition.

requesting french for preferred language option for board management.
>>4348 If you can translate the attached file, I can add it as an option. >>4280 Fixing that is a work in progress. >>4340 I'll look into the best way to implement this.
I use the thread watcher a lot and when going to a thread through it you land at the top of the page. Considering that the idea of the thread watcher is to look at the last comment(s) in a thread I would like to request if you could make it so that it jumps to the bottom of the page instead. Every single time I've gone to a thread through the thread watcher, I immediately had to move to the bottom manually and it gets annoying. Another feature I'd like to see regarding the thread watcher is for it to strikethrough or show in some other way that some of the watched threads have been pruned, because right now it doesn't tell you and the only way you have to know whether you have to remove a thread from the watcher is visiting every one of them to see if they're still alive.
The filtering tools on this site are legitimately fucking awful and borderline useless.
>>4494 I actually came to this board for a similar topic I'd really like the feature to hide entire boards from the Overboard. I like getting a view of all recent activity going on, but some boards I will never ever want to see, or just see way too often. Hiding threads works reasonably well for hisrol, since they tend to stick to a few threads for a really long time, but other boards make new threads too frequently for hiding threads to be terribly practical
When threads 404 they should be removed from the watched threads. Also watched threads should react to post deletions too since a lot of the time they get bumped by retarded herdnigger spam that just gets deleted but the new post notification stays.
The board list should be able to be sorted by board creation date so you can discover new small boards easier. Also perhaps list the last 2 recently created boards somewhere on the page to give them attention.
fix people getting a bump notification (1) besides the thread name for their own posts thx
How can I see and edit which items I have already filtered at a particular board? If I filtered somebody's name then how can I remove the filter later on? I was able to remove a filter without issue at an image board which I used previously, but looking around I can't find how to do that here. I have another issue: When I use my phone to post, after the post goes through, the popup window remains visible and blocking a lot of the page. I can't use the x in upper right hand of box to close it. So I end up going back to the catalog and then back to the thread to make the pop up disappear (at least until next time after I've posted when I'll have to repeat leaving and coming back like that). Thanks
>>4986 >remove filters You can manage set filters by clicking on the Settings icon. Filters is the default tab. We might look at putting this elsewhere, but originally this was the only pop-up menu for managing things, so it went here by default. >quick reply doesn't close Can you let us know which platform you are on, and which browser you are using?
404'd threads should automatically remove themselves from the watched threads list.

>>4986 >>4988 The settings option is hidden on a phone by default so you'll need to clear cache to unhide from phone. >>>/404/ has added some CSS that enables phonefags to see the settings and you can remove the filters from that board if you like. The settings really should be shown for on phones, though-- >>134 Increase the board filter limit from 30 to 50 or 100. And this one: >>>/site/5012 to fix the ability for Board Owners to edit which files are prohibited (or, if that's not possible, globally remove .zip files from being uploaded because that's pointless and retarded to have enabled and PDF too)--

I was going to ask to be spoonfed about certain CSS, but I browsed the question instead. I have experience with e-hentai CSS to tweak display of gallery list (because js offered in their forum somehow doesn’t work for me). So I figure I just need to reverse engineer this thing Learning is fun. Just took 1 hour and ignoring starvation. One of the tests hilariously remove spacing between text. I'm getting somewhere Other than that Custom CSS is close to Delete Board button. I'm afraid the possibility of my pointer accidentally wander there while clicking Upload File
>>5057 We've had "rearrange management pages" on the to-do list for ages, so those buttons won't be close for long. >>5018 I'm going to look into the MIMEs issue. Mobile update should fix settings, it's just such a colossal undertaking that it is taking forever.
>>2137 Seconding this, An effective way to advertise other boards on here and have them gain recognition. The old 8chan's Attention Hungry Games were gay and ineffective and didnt even do its supposed job properly.
>>5162 Rather pointless. There are much better ways to direct anons to other boards. Plus these boards are dead because the site is dead, not necessarily because it's difficult to discover or encounter their content. Though it is still needlessly difficult to discover their content. The overboard needs overhauling.
After being condemned to irrelevance by your own autism and the superior video game press you fags lucked your way into owning one of the most active altchan out there. All you had to do was let it be, delete the illegal stuff and not over react to fucking everything. I guess that was too much to ask smh.
>>5210 All you retards had to do was not catch the ire of autists by avatarfagging and shitting up other boards but you couldn't even manage that. You were your own worst enemies. Now fuck off into the void of irrelevant honeypots.
Can i get someone with one of those imposing capecode to address calling the cops on britanon for virtually nothing without even talking to the guy? Like for real t. lobbyboi >>5213 also we don't even know your board exist, i check with acid usually he's the culprit if there's anything wrong with the site
>>4348 >>4356 I think it's pretty nice as it is, please add and time will tell. If a fellow french anon want to review it anyway. Au passage >>>/planche/
