>I've updated the dice rolls so it no longer floors a d0 to 1.
huh, is that how a d0 works? good to know, also what is the equation that gives the result of a 0 sided dice?
on the oekaki tool thing, what are your plans? an exiting tool as is or tweaked, perhaps one from scratch?
https://github.com/desuwa/tegaki is what 4chan's /i/ uses
https://github.com/websanova/wPaint is what /mlpol/ uses
list of features(and therefore differences) made by me here
https://mlpol.net/qa/5911#6235 where is also requested a better tool for /mlpol/... honestly i might as well just post it here
>tegaki has:
drawing size from 1x1 to 9999x9999(or at least that is what 4chan allows)
replay animation
50% 100% 200% 400% 800% 1600% zooms
3 pages of colors(no more, not even custom input)
brush size from 1 to 64 pixels
opacity from 0 to 100
add layer, remove layer, merge layers, move layer up, move layer down
25 layer limit, numbers start at 1, not 0(you might want to change that)
new image button that asks width and height of the new pic
open image button that allows you to open images and draw on them
export button that allows you to save the image directly without posting and then saving the result
undo button(also doable with ctrl+z), redo button(also doable with ctrl+y)
close button, finish button
pressure control of size and/or opacity option
preserve alpha option
pencil, pen, airbrush, bucket, tone, pipette, blur, eraser
indicator of it recording the replay
>wPaint has:
undo button, redo button, clear button
rectangle and elipse tools(tegaki does not have this)
line and pencil
text input(tegaki CERTAINLY does not have this)
eraser, bucket
bucket color picker, stroke with selector from 1 to 10, color picker for everything else
moveable toolbar(i just found about this like right now)
500x250 drawing size(no more, no less, take it or leave it[also found about it just now])
im my opinion, if you are to tweak one of them, id go with tweaking tegaki by adding the tools from wPaint that tegaki lacks
i will also reiterate both the request of having the
special text stuff being doable on the oekaki
and my request on /mlpol/(im literally copypasting and doing slight tweaks)
for the tweaked tool to take advantage of the emojis(/mlpol/ thing) as stamps and also dice rolls somehow
im thinking that perhaps it would work by you placing a dice roll on the regular post box and then being able to tie the results of that roll to a "stamp"(more like placeholder) that you can place on the oekaki, and when you make the post it rolls and places the result both on the oekaki and the text post itself
also being able to quote text from posts and even dice rolls from others in the oekaki might be nice
and i think that the dice placeholder should be automatically always on top most layer in case people try to fudge the roll result in the drawing somehow, which is pointless since the roll on the drawing is directly referencing the one on the post
a few others i thought out:
to be able to oekaki up to 5 pics per post
transparent images on the oekaki thing(including canvas preset) and nice border for to know the image limits
also id like for the tweaked tool to be able to use custom fonts from the poster's pc, since a few guys on /v/ finally had an excuse to use some fonts they hadn't before while doing image posting to starve the wojack spammer's bot and force him to manually spam
and id suggest you get in contact with Pupper from the /mlpol/ administration since he was looking for a better oekaki tool and if he didn't find one, make it himself, i say this mainly since two people working on tweaking the same tool will get further faster
oh, and the
///slope text\\\ is not on
https://8chan.moe/.static/pages/posting.html you might want to fix that, also could the
extra stuff like [moe] be put on a more accessible(as in the top bar) guide like what /mlpol/ does?
/roll{-1d1} testing another dice, if it does not work, id like to request for it to be a thing, the current syntax that allows for
1d1-999999 = 0 to work would go along to make the the lower bound equal to the upper, also said bounds are not on the help page(unlike on /mlpol/) it would be nice if you added that info, also id like your opinion on if /roll{1d-1} should work the same way as /roll{-1d1}, or differently? the strongest argument as for why they are identical is that i can't come up for how the dice result would be different, and i think /roll{-1d1} looks nicer than /roll{1d-1} which is what how i wrote it here

...2(one) more things, 1:i saw some people during one of the spammings on the gamergate thread request of the mods to add the chess captcha back in, if that is something you plan on doing eventually... how about a sokoban captcha as well?
and 2:emojis in the vein of the ones on /mlpol/(as in the implementation the the content which is pony) made by the community using the oekaki tool might be a lovely thing... so long as you are careful not to incite a community shitfest by rejecting a popular entry or something which tends to happen in this type of events
lastly, thanks for taking time out of your day to read my wall o' text, i really appreciate it.
