webm thread - No more 360p rips edition Anonymous 09/24/2024 (Tue) 02:44:13 Id: b2d671 No. 1018065
Hey, did you know Bobbypills of Peepoodo fame put out an animated series for Dead Cells? Me neither, but here're the encodes of the first half of the series. >where other half Working on those when the time comes. On another note, have you a moment for the word and gospel of our savior SVT-AV1-PSY? https://github.com/gianni-rosato/aviator (Linux only) https://github.com/Nj0be/HandBrake-SVT-AV1-PSY (All desktop OSes) https://github.com/staxrip/staxrip (Wangblows) >why use this Maximum bitrate efficiency in compression, mah boi. Set speed to 4, CRF to 56, Opus bitrate to 16k, QP compress to 3, and variance octile to 8/8ths and you're off to the races, now faster than ever. Higher resolutions, longer runtimes, the works. With enough ingenuity entire shows and movies can be uploaded here. If you want to stick with VP9 and are on Linux I heartily recommend https://codeberg.org/deterenkelt/Nadeshiko/ as your one-stop shop to eliminate any encoding headaches. Here's to a better 8chan on mark/v/ and no more 360p videos unless they're super long, of course Last bread >>992920

The entire Crowbcat video demonstrating the inferiority of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster against the original 2006 game
>>1034358 Can't someone just mod the new assets into the original game and get the best of both worlds? After fixing the stupid AI upscaled textures and race swaps of course.
>>1034358 impressive >>1033968 >>1033966 I found a jazz band channel named New Jazz Underground, they do jazz covers of songs. Here's a live jam of MF Doom's one beer left using jazz instruments
>>1018065 Damn never expected 8chan to have french content, always nice to hear something in your native language lol

>>1034418 noice
I love these columbo shitposts
>>1033970 That Yukari voice edit 1. is good 2. makes me think that LLMs could easily be trained on the entire script of Azumanga Daioh (both manga and anime) to create entirely new episodes and also render them as video.

>>1034795 >He keeps calling him Mr. Yagami-san to annoy him Now that is Columbo. >>1034801 There was that AI Seinfield show on Twitch, that was running 24/7, but it got cancelled after it generated this one controversial joke, which is a shame since it was an interesting concept. There were also some jewtube episodes of the Office that used AI voices to make new episodes, though it did need a human to write the scripts and edit the videos.
>>1034838 I remember that Twitch channel. I also remember the tranny ban. And then season two came back and completely divorced them from any potential IP litigation… and thus the viewership fell off a cliff because that's not why people were there. That office one is a really good start. The voices aren't all 100%, but many are spot on. Once we get LLMs to be able to imitate emotion better we'll lose society completely because no one will be able to trust any video, radio, or phone call information, ever individuals should be able to make content without paying a single hollywood writer. Which, coupled with the total collapse of all civil society and the "social contract," isn't a net positive, but at least it'll be interesting.
>>1034896 >bitch censored >nigger not censored What?
>>1034645 >Damn never expected 8chan to have french content, always nice to hear something in your native language lol Just for that, I'm posting my fixed versions of the Dead Cells series.
Except for the last episode where I missed a typo. Also there's an English dub coming out, it never ends this shit.

Once you get in the zone, you never know if you can get out, or want to get out
old mtv
>>1035128 i might be retarded
>>1034795 I feel like making one of these but it's Sam and Max solving it. I'm good at S&M dialogue but not so much Light dialogue. Anyone care to pitch in?
What do you call this kind of lazyness? Or is it ok because its demonstrating the problem?
(1013.39 KB 366x360 TOTAL CHIYO-CHAN DEATH.webm)

>>1035550 The comic did the same quip didn't it? but for comics instead of animation?
>>1035550 >Or is it ok because its demonstrating the problem? No, it's still trash. These morons try to treat it the like Western world hasn't spent the past century refining animation techniques in finding areas to put the most effort in. Or use those limitations as a way to artisticly tell the story. The part about their hiding their mouths when they're talking is especially stupid when cartoons (Especially the Japanese) solved this "problem" ages ago with lip flaps.
>>1035550 Anon, that's literally a joke from the comic made to work in animated form because in the comic it was just the same couple of panels copy pasted for a joke about lazily copy pasting the same comic panel over and over again to save time and effort.

>>1035759 I haven't seen more than clips, but it seems to me that '80s anime was one of–if not the–high point of traditional animation in terms of detail and quality. Its mass commercialization today has led to a ludicrous drop in quality industry-wide thanks to outsourcing and unreasonable time constraints.
>>1036112 Too bad it was mostly constrained to 1-3 episode cliffhanger OVAs that nobody gave a shit about.
>>1033487 Nah, it was animated by a nog who used to be an artist for the government. It actually brings to mind the lolcowlization debate; how does a Japanese person translate an English script? For example, in the original the voice acting is decidedly non-serious with the VAs corpsing multiple times during their line reads, whereas the JP dub fails to convey this and just voices everything as if it was a legitimate Pokemon story. I kind of want to put both of the webm uploads over in the Japanese learning thread to give the posters there a brain exercise. On another note, here's a command line of my usual settings I run with SVT-AV1-PSY: --rc 0 --crf 56 --progress 3 --preset 4 --tune 2 --variance-boost-strength 1 --variance-octile 8 --recode-loop 3 --keyint -1 --irefresh-type 1 --scd 1 --hierarchical-levels 5 --startup-mg-size 4 --color-primaries 1 --transfer-characteristics 1 --matrix-coefficients 1 --qp-scale-compress-strength 3 Do note these are NOT standard settings and are intended to just crush bitrate down as much as possible at the cost of visual fidelity; it tends to wreak havoc on analog anime, for example, by fucking with and smearing the linework, so the Gasaraki webm I'm uploading uses different tweaked settings. You can find out more about the documentation by perusing https://wiki.x266.mov/docs/encoders/SVT-AV1-PSY
