Cirno is the strongest fairy! Daiyousei is... not. Winded after a heavy exercise while Cirno has not broken a sweat, Daiyousei mentions the disparity. Daiyousei: "You truly are strong! How might I become as strong as you?" Cirno: "I dunno. I just am. Want to chase me around that tree again?" Daiyousei: "Maybe later." Daiyousei has given up on moving before a few more minutes of rest, but Cirno is still full of energy. Cirno: "Then I'll head off on my own. See you later!" Cirno flies away... Sitting on a fallen log, Daiyousei watches Cirno disappear behind the trees. Daiyousei: "I wish that I was stronger." Daiyousei's complaint to herself is overheard by a wandering Outsider who came to Gensokyo to search for alien invaders from the moon, who he had heard rumors of...

Duke Nukem: "If you want to be stronger, you have to work for it. You have to man up!" Daiyousei: "I'm a girl." Duke: "Do it anyway. Do some exercises every day to build up those muscles in your twig arms and legs. Do you think you can give me twenty push-ups right now?" Daiyousei: "No." Duke: "Do you want to be able to give me twenty push-ups the next time I ask?" Daiyousei: "...yes." Duke: "Then get down on the ground and do as many as you think you can. Then do more than that. Then do more tomorrow. Then do more the next day. That's how you can get tough like me." ... after a failed attempt to do one push-up ... Duke: "You gotta keep trying. You gotta keep working and you will succeed. Maybe try lifting weights or something. Build up some arm strength and try again." And then the Outsider excused himself. Duke: "I'm going to go scout around for alien invaders. I heard they were around here. Maybe we'll see each other again, little fairy." Daiyousei watches the strong human walk away. She will take his advice and train herself harder. She will do one push up, every day. She might not ever be as strong as Cirno, but she might become strong enough to do more than one push-up.

Let's not forget to turn on deaths in the war phase settings... And here is the strategy screen. A few important things to note: there are several turns before the war starts, we get a discount on officer training, and it is possible to recruit new officers. The first officer that you buy will come at a huge discount so that you can buy someone on your first turn. Vadim is the one to choose if I want to win battles, but I will choose Shizuha the Goddess of Autumn Leaves as the most likely to be around a fairy forest. She is useless, but I choose her anyway. And I use that training discount to give Daiyousei some super-high-intensity training.

None of the other factions hired an officer on Turn 1. I hope that is not a glitch. The early game involves a lot of training. You hit the training buttons a lot to raise the stats of your weakest officers, since you get sharply diminishing returns as soon as they reach "B" rank. Training raises the stats of both officers, so your main character will reach godlike levels of strength by endgame if you keep training everyone around them. Cirno is a "Genius" so her stats rise quickly. I trained her Defense up from 22 to 40 in one turn, while Daiyousei's Defense correspondingly rose from 53 to 55. Additional training points come from giving people jobs. You can employ a maximum of ten people, and each of them gives you income. I recommend recruiting anybody until you get ten officers so that you can have this income, then recruit only officers that can win battles. On turn 2 we recruit Letty Whiterock because she lives near the fairies. That is another bad choice gameplay-wise because it is possible to get her for free in a random event, but I'm roleplaying. Other factions begin recruiting on Turn 2, so it was not a glitch.

On turn 3 we get a randomly recurring event: The Rape Arena, where the woman who loses a fight gets raped! Daiyousei might not have heard or understood that last part. She simply wants to participate in a fighting tournament to become stronger. She did play-fights with Cirno (and always lost) but they were not the real thing. She signs the contract without reading it, walks out into the arena, and looks over her potential opponents... A LIVING WALL OF MUSCLE A SUPER HUGE SUPER MUSCULAR SUPER MUTANT some nerd in a scarf Kenji: "What am I even doing here?"

>>1053283 Daiyousei waits to be called upon, and flies out to fight her assigned opponent: Kenji! It is a very short fight. Kenji was not prepared and had no idea what had hit him. So Daiyousei gets the benefits of winning in the arena: some money and stat bonuses. The bonuses are better if the fight lasts longer. These bonuses are small enough that Daiyousei might have been better off spending the time in a training session. At this early point in the game the extra money might make a difference in hiring a good officer or more soldiers.

Thanks to the Arena, we have enough money to hire two officers on Turn 3. We recruit The Sorceress from Dragon's Crown and Sheila from SEQUEL. Turn 3 begins the Diplomacy phase which means we turn on automatic payment of small bribes to everyone. This drains the Treasury but it keeps the AIs from all ganging up on us. At the end of the turn, we have a special event! > Cirno has invited fairies to come and play with her. > The fairies relax in their home as the world around them erupts into war. > The fairies will join the battle... eventually. This has a couple of effects: Cirno enters into a long term peace treaty with everyone, so this faction will be joining the war late. On every turn there is a random chance of any fairy joining the faction. I wrote this one so it might be glitchy. I see a bug already, so I'm adding that to my notes. It doesn't effect the game much so we'll keep going.

Turn 4, more training. We are up to 8 officers. Having more people on the team has raised the number of Action Points from 2 to 3, allowing for more training. We hire Ash Blossom for our next officer, dump the rest of Daiyousei's personal funds into the Treasury while the exchange rate is 1:1, and spend some of the money on a Laboratory to cut Research time by one turn. Noriaki Kakyoin was hired by Byakuren. Simon Belmont was hired by Shinmyomaru. Turn 5, I had thought we were short an officer, but we actually have a full house. It is time to stop spending money on weak officers and save for the good ones. Other factions are hiring officers, but no one that we are tracking. I forgot to turn on "Full Detail for All Armies" in the settings, so let's fix that...

Turn 6, Daiyousei takes another trip to the Rape Arena and fights Bruno the Bandit. Bruno underestimates her, so she wins a quick and overwhelming victory. Doing a quick check to see if there were any hires that I missed... Harold is working for Miko. He might have been assigned to her when the game started. Turn 7. After spending a lot of time together, Daiyousei achieves the Close Friend relationship with Cirno. They get along unusually well, and the relationship points keep going up and up. The war begins! We might be at peace with all of the other factions, but we can still take unoccupied land. This is a priority since my special event took away the Misty Lake from the fairies and left them with only the Fairy Forest. Cirno splits the fairy army into two teams. She leads the larger portion to take the nearby Human Fields before anyone else can. Her trusted friend Daiyousei will lead the other faction to retake Lake Shores. Daiyousei is nervous, but she feels more comfortable for having Duke Nukem with her. Duke: "Let me show you how to kick ass. You see ass, you kick it." Deploying forces, saving the game in case there's a crash...

>>1053303 Turn 7 continued. Cirno's forces quickly and easily occupy the undefended territories. The other factions are expanding similarly, and most of them have taken land by the turn's end. Mithrix is recruited by Yuyuko. (Pink, Hakugyo) Miquella is recruited by Byakuren. (Light Purple, Myouren Shrine)

Turn 8. Cirno's force rushes to take the one unclaimed neighboring territory of Suzunaan before anyone else does. They take it without incident. Mima (light green, Crimson-Remaiden) forms a coalition against Yorihime (light yellow, on the moon in the northeast). The coalition includes Yorihime's enemy Junko (red on the western half of the moon). Yukari uses the alliance to move in forces and capture Lunar Capital. Mima's own enemy Shinki is not part of this alliance. They begin a ruinous fight with one another. First blood! Keiki and Mayumi kill Miyoi and The Colonel. They are then routed from the field by the necromancer Seiga and her pet zombies Yoshika and Harold. The Bandits faction activates. They do not have cities yet, but can kidnap people in random events.

Turn 9. Daiyousei takes another trip to the Rape Arena and defeats Harold. He gave her a little trouble, but she managed to defeat a non-fighter who is mostly dead. She truly is getting stronger. It was not too long ago that she could not imagine herself defeating anybody. There are no nearby unclaimed countries to invade, so the fairies sit back and relax while the other countries fight each other. Shikieiki brings a large force down on Seiga! Harold is captured and imprisoned. No one died this turn.

SinGyoku was also killed on turn 8 but I forgot to mention it. (3) Louise, another Touhou, scored the kill alone. Turn 10. Yuugi kills Satori's sister and first officer Koishi Komeiji. (4) Her fellow mountain oni Suika kills Okina's backup dancer Mai Teireida. (5) Saki takes on three opponents by herself and wins, killing the ninja Sasuke. (6) Demencia keeps dying early in these games. She lost a rip-and-tear contest to Doomguy. (7) Yuuka killed Carmen Sandiego.(8) Yorihime's sister Toyohime used an alliance with somebody to invade Bamboo Shoots Village on the other side of the map, and she killed Sekibanki. (9) Byakuren's forces besiege Miko's last city Divine Spirit Mausoleum but suffer heavy damage attempting to take it. Shinki won the battle with Mima. Mima's forces retreated unharmed. Reimu recruited Gallica. The special faction Vigilante Committee formed in the Residential Area of the Human Village! This gives Cirno's force an enemy to fight. For their first atrocity, the Vigilantes kidnap and rape Iji Kataiser. In another special event, Cirno's fairy party has attracted Clownpiece from Junko's faction. Clownpiece now works for Cirno!

Turn 11. Daiyousei goes to onboard Clownpiece and finds that she is not a friendly fairy. An attempted training session is unproductive. Special factions like the Vigilantes usually begin with a large number of troops. We are lucky; they did not. They are instantly the #1 economy in the world due to taking the Myouren and Hakurei shrines and Akyuu's Manor, each worth 1,000 economy points. When the Vigilantes took the Residential Area, they also captured every neighboring city including Suzunaan. That is the fairies' only route into their territory, so that is where they will attack. With only one target territory, Cirno sends her best forces. They win an overwhelming victory and retake Suzunaan.

Turn 11 continued. Marisa takes the Myouren Shrine from the Vigilantes, while Gengetsu takes the Hakurei Shrine. Gengetsu was then pushed out by the Prismriver Sisters fighting under Yuyuko. Flandre tears apart Goliath Doll. (10) Shinki puts Mima under siege. Mima kills the attacking Yumeko. (11) Miko singlehandedly killed Minamitsu. (12) Miko was then forced from the field by Byakuren, who put her last city under siege. Miquella participates in a rare battle of six non-Touhous. His side is losing. Kain was recruited by Shikieiki. Raziel was recruited by Aya. Vergil was recruited by Byakuren.

Turn 12. The Vigilantes put up no resistance as Cirno's forces take Residential Area and Akyuu Manor. Mima defeats Shinki's main assault, killing the other Mai. (13) Marisa deploys extra forces against Miquella's losing unit. Miquella escapes the battlefield, but Spongebob Squarepants is killed by TF2 Engineer's sentry gun while attempting to give a rousing speech. (14) Remilia invades Sanae in force and deals heavy damage to her best unit. The Vigilantes are finally defeated by a force from the Bamboo Forest led by Kaguya, Reisen, and... Leisure Suit Larry. I suppose he had a reason for being there. Honey Badger wiped out attempting to take a city that had no defending officer. (15) Weed was killed by Bandits on the road. (16) Yorihime has invaded and captured Reimu's last city, killing Rin Satsuki. (17) Reimu is the first faction to fall. Her officer Gallica joined Yorihime. ShadOW the hEDGEhog has joined Aya.

Turn 13. My special event has left Cirno with 11 turns of ceasefire with everybody, so we are sitting back and waiting. Surprisingly, nobody has been hitting us with negative diplomacy. Usually the "Hate" number goes up faster than bribes can bring it down, but it is a steady 0 with everyone. I turned off the automatic donation to see if it changes. Junko (red, on the moon in the northeast) has started a coalition against Tenshi (blue, in the northwest). Maribel Hearn was killed assaulting a city that had no defending officers but 7,500 troops. (18) Miko fought off an assault by Byakuren, killing Ichirin. (19) In the first kill by one of the guys we are tracking, Simon Belmont killed Dot Warner. (20) Shinmyoumaru killed Medicine Melancholy. (21) The Prismriver Sisters wiped out Yumemi's main force. The officers survived. Clownpiece is back with Junko. There must be a bug in my code, a flag that I forgot to set. She was on Cirno's roster at the start of the turn, and there was no event to send her back. Now she was part of a team that killed Aya's officers Hatate, Nitori, and Raziel. (24) Raziel was killed Road bandits killed Yamame. (25) It is dangerous to send weak units through relays when bandits are active.

Duke Nukem sees Daiyousei relaxing on the grass. He walks over to talk to her. Duke: "Hey. If you wanna be stronger, you need to be a Hard Worker." Daiyousei: "I have been a hard worker." Duke: "Yeah, but have you been a Hard Worker?" Daiyousei looks up at Duke quizzically... Duke: "I can help you become a Hard Worker, but it won't be free. Or cheap." Daiyousei spends nearly all of her accumulated savings to buy the Hard Worker trait. This should make her skills go up faster. It is no longer very effective by the time you can afford to buy it; by training with her allies, Daiyousei is already B rank in most skills, which is where training stops being very useful. In the long run, hopefully this will help her reach into the A rank. Clownpiece is once again in Cirno's faction, looking innocent. I have no explanation for the glitch that put her with Junko for the battles last turn.

Turn 14. Cirno is in sixth place without even trying because so many of the other factions have only 3 or 4 cities. Thanks to the aggressive attack on the Vigilantes, Cirno has 6. Clownpiece is fighting for Junko again. I will have to look into why that is. Marisa's forces took down Satori's nation, killing Orin. (26) Satori was weak enough that her third string was able to do it. I think that Hourai Doll was the ranking officer. Marisa's main force engaged Yuuki's, and both armies cut the other in half. Yuyuko sent the Prismriver Sisters to conquer the last of Okina's nation. Okina was down to 500 troops, so they had no problem. Tenshi killed Elly. (27) Keiki killed Kain. (28) Kain is canonically unkillable, so he will revive. Vita-Tan was recruited by Yuyuko. And a new faction appears! I was wondering when this code was going to trigger. They are too far away to matter to us, and probably too weak too. Marisa and Yuugi could mop them up if they were not too busy fighting with one another.

Daiyousei has become much stronger and more confident. She feels invincible as she goes to the Rape Arena for another fight. Her opponent today is Chad Asskicker. He is better than anyone else she has ever faced. The fight is difficult, and in the end, Chad wins. Chad's prize is Daiyousei herself. It is the Rape Arena, and Chad happily rapes the fairy girl. I told you that there was porn in this game. After this, I went back to the character creator to set Chad's nickname to his full name so that it shows. "Chad" isn't funny by itself, you need to see the full name.

Turn 15. Gallica takes part in the capture of Yukari's last city, killing Myouren Hijiri. (29) Tenshi then jumped on them with a superior force. Gallica was captured and Twisted Teacher was killed (30) While Remilia has Sanae's forces tied up in a losing battle, her sister Flandre captures the strategic Moriya Shrine. The new faction leader Tara's new army was wiped out by Yuugi. The officers escaped, but she has no soldiers. Okina just lost her country last turn, so she starts a new one. She will begin with the power ally Ran Yakumo and also Flandre.

Daiyousei got pregnant from her rape. Turn 15 is a good point to stop for now. Will return tomorrow.
