Thread dedicated to the discussion of games from the Fire Emblem franchise. The often asked question: "I'm new to the series. Where should I start?" for modern FE experience is Three Houses (Switch - 2019) or Engage (Switch - 2023), and for semi old school FE experience is Awakening (3DS - 2012) or Fates (3DS - 2015) or Echoes (3DS - 2017). The story follows the members of a talent agency during their conflicts with hostile beings from another world called Mirages. Mirages are based on characters from Shadow Dragon (FE1/FE11) and Awakening. Do not consider this an FE title. This is a spin-off with some FE lore and characters. Only play this if you're a fan of Persona or Shin Megami Tensei games, you're starving for more FE and its characters like Tiki, or you like anime. >Fire Emblem Heroes >Google Android - 2017, Apple iOS - 2017 It’s a hodgepodge of characters from all FE games plus a few original characters. There’s an avatar/My Unit, but their only purpose is to perform summons. There is a lot of debate on the canonicity of the game. To make it simple, consider Heroes to be canon within the Heroes universe for now. Ah, so this is where everyone has taken refuge. I kinda like it here, the multi uploads, file limits and poster IDs are nice. I've been giving myself a history lesson this past week playing the original FE because it's one of the last ones remaining I haven't played. It's quite interesting seeing how it all started. I just finished the Maria chapter. Cain is already ascending to Godhood and I can't wait to promote him. Caeda also has cracked stats (I gave her a robe) but only 3 STR. I think I read someone saying Jagen is good here because he gets the same exp as everyone else, but he's only gained 1 point of STR in 6 levels and nothing else. Also, why is Wendell of all people so tanky? >>1194349 >>1195074 You should bring Mordecai so you can shove+smite Ike on the first turn to recruit Astrid and Gatrie. Maybe consider raising another paladin? I dunno if you plan to use Astrid, but you should probably use at least one of Oscar or Kieran.
Is there any way to make path of radiance fun to play?? every time i think about replaying i can only think about how slow the maps are
Does fire tomes being effective versus beasts even matter? Tomes have such low mt that it's only 6 damage which is barely as strong as an Iron Bow
>boss is an archer He had it coming
>>1194456 Boyd, Kieran, Oscar, and Marcia are good. Soren's good if you know how to use him, same for Mist. Neph has waifu power.
>>1196555 Not really, record-low tome mights and double effectiveness kind of make tome effectivenesses irrelevant.
>>1196555 The only effective weapons that really matter in FE9 are steel and silver bows. The base tomes' effective damage is worthless, but Elfire and Elwind are decent, and you get two Bolganone tomes and one Tornado. Thunder effectiveness comes into play against dragons in the late game, and it's a good idea to have a Thoron user ready for it..
>>1196643 No, you're better off only running Thunder desu. Thunder's higher might and crit chance make it better than the others by far, as Wind suffers from pathetically low might despite having effective damage on a large amount of enemies and Fire just plain sucks.
The continued failure of Book 8 and Engayge
Truly, all Laguz know is eat fried chicken and steal
Astrid levels up pretty fast because she has double XP and is low level, I think it's time to feed Brom
>>1197220 Astrid fucking rules. If you're BEXPing cavs or knights, equip them with the knight ward first. It boosts speed growth by 30% for some reason.

Treck
>(1)
>>1197605 i remember using him in a ironman where i lost both my cavs and he still sucked cock
>>1197220 Astrid just needs to take a bunch of plinking shots before she starts snowballing.
>>1197605 Ever since the relay, I've grown to appreciate him. He's deceptively tanky and he can hit for decent damage with his base strenght.
How much XP does a Torch use give? Is it worth buying just for this one map so Mist can get some extra XP? I haven't given her BExp or anything so she's still only Level 4
>>1197988 Paragon applies to BEXP too. Let her take potshots and a few kills on her joining chapter, dump a few hundred on her in preps, voila, paladin. >>1198091 Mist practically requires BEXP to work. Don't even try leveling her normally. She's probably better off master crowning too instead of going all the way to 21.
>>1198191 Still think it's a waste. It's not hard to get safe shots in while she's low level thanks to bow + canto. And she will always hit the level cap if you use her.
Edelgard killed the pope and you cheered
>>1198297 The crests are to blame.
(39.87 KB 720x480 treckingball.png)

>>1197605 I have nothing to say about him as a unit, but his supports are funny. Vaike starting without a weapon in Awakening is possibly a reference to his Noah support where they mention something like that happening. It's kinda weird to think that Haar is supposed to be the same character trait as Treck when they are viewed so differently for various reasons.
>>1198486 Treck's basically if Anon was a FE unit, inscrutable weirdo, no lover, just does whatever all day
>>1198265 >Still think it's a waste. How? You're getting a PoR paladin for less then you'd get any other paladin, far faster than if you leveled her naturally.
>>1199084 I just said how. It's a waste because she levels so fast without it.
IMO it's worth dumping bexp on astrid for the promo gains and axes, assuming you have enough bexp. She's legitimately good after promotion. But I don't like spending extra turns to grind exp.
Sacred Stones is on NSO Fire Emblem Engage is on Nintendo Music
>>1201134 And that's all we got for the 35th anniversary...
>>1201273 There were anniversary events in Heroes too!
Peri good
>>1201634 Raph got blue shelled didn’t he?
