When i saw the news every single warning feelings i had started blaring inside my head, but i have yet to see the catch. It's impossible for EA to do something good, there must be a catch somewhere.

>>1075201 Who knows. It could also just be that they lost the source code for some of the games or maybe EA only gave them the go ahead for some but not all of the games. Seeing them give out the code for most older games up to Gnerals but then skipping Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 makes me feel like they were possibly remastering/doing something with them at a later date. Though again, it is possible they just don't have that code anymore.

Those have been pretty hit or miss. Not that many were terrible, just that the changes they include usually managed to really annoy me at some point.

I never got to play Renegade online as I didn't have broadband at that time, but I did play the multiplayer skirmishes with bots a bunch, I liked the RTS elements. Are there any other games that have you play as a unit on the ground of an RTS game?

Have there been any news about projects starting up from the code release? I wanted to replay RA 1 & 2 on Linux but OpenRA is not really good for campaign play. >>1109512 It's been posted in the thread.
