Spore is an obvious choice, you can genocide aliens for the entire game, from hand to hand combat to blowing up entire planets. My other pick would be A Space Shooter For 2 Bucks, which is a short shmup where the main character has exactly one character trait - he hates aliens

Just buy the base game for as little as you can get it and then creampie all the DLCs. For mods I have to 110% say Stellaris Evolved. It's a huge improvement to the game. Though I'd actually caution against picking up Stellaris right now. A massive update is coming out around the start of next month that's going to change the population and economy. If you start now you'll basically have to learn the game twice.
