Opted for the 500mbps symmetrical service plus phone, and shaved off about $10 what we were paying to CenturyLink. Feels like I upgraded from 28.8, especially uploading. Only thing that worries me a bit is that our power company kickstarted the project with a substantial grant from the county, so I don't know how to feel about that. Not like CenturyLink wasn't getting grants for infrastructure in our area either, but it's a pretty overwhelming switch that effectively put every other telecom in the area out of business except in the most densely populated areas (and there very few densely populated areas out here). Can't help but feel like there's some strings attached that I'm not seeing.

I've got rolling archives of old shit going back 10 years hidden away in subfolders, some of which when I was drinking and other stuff more heavily - so New Folders inside of of New Folders (3) inside of New Folder (16) - redundant files and folders everywhere - with everything just dumped in a file sometimes labeled by the month I downloaded it. I keep meaning to sort this shit properly, but fuck me... that's a lot of crap to sort through by hand. I think I'll just wait for some AI sorter to get developed, and then make them deal with it.
