>all it would take is an alternative publisher
Anon, do you
KNOW how long it took companies to reach the apex of where they are? Marvelous started in '97, Idea Factory in '94, Take-Two in '93, NIS in '91, Team17 in 1990, THQ in '89, SquareSoft and Ubisoft and Bethesda in '86, Microids in '84, EA in '82, Activision and Capcom in '79, SNK in '78, Microsoft in '75, Atari in '72, Sega in 1960, Sony in 1946, Kadokawa in '45, Disney and Warner Bros. in 1923, Nintendo in 1889.
People will
NOT be able to start up a new publisher overnight. And, even if they had the money and manpower to do so, it would still take them several years before they're even close to being genuinely competitive with these other companies. You want one example? Devolver Digital started in 2009, their first E3 conference wasn't until 2017.
The point being that this shit takes time. However, that doesn't mean people should give up and sit on their hands until "someone" does "something", as your posts come across as and the reason
WHY people starkly disagree with you.
We can do stuff,
today, that will slowly effect how things look tomorrow. You want to know how? You stop being from the companies listed up here:

You start buying from the companies listed on here:

You
TELL other people about the companies you're supporting. And you provide your own content/services whereever possible. It's that simple, but retards think it is "hard" because it requires them to be active as opposed to just watching someone else do it.
