Are we finally entering the era of remasters of remasters and remakes of remakes?

>40 dollars >not on Steam epic I'm mixed on the new direct for 1 and 2's art. As somebody say in the comments, they look like old flash games now, but I'm not sure what other direction you could go and still have the sprites readable. The only thing I can say for certain is I don't like the stop-motion look they kept, that was only done in the day for technical reasons. Plenty of games were supposed to have smooth animation but simply couldn't. Daggerfall famously had to reduce its animation cycles from 16 frames down to 4.

I don't like what they did with WC1's graphics, reminds me of what they did with SC remastered. It's honestly too detailed and looks more like an indie game now. WC2's its a lot less egregious since the original's sprites were already detailed, doesn't look as bad as I was expecting, it might be alright. WC3's I don't have much opinion on, will have to see more.

Well, that looks terrible, but at least it looks like you can just use the old graphics. Question if I have my original WC3 disks and keys can I just play that normally or do I gotta do some hoop-jumping? I don't even have access to my old Battle.net account that I probably used the keys on.

Warcraft/Starcraft were never good

Speaking of Warcraft 3, what's the best server to play custom games? I am in no way paying for this crap, and the only private server i know (eurobattlenet) is filled with bots and the only healthy game alive is a korean RPG game (the kind you save your character with codes) which requires shitcord to find people to play with. I wanna play some good shit like Pyramid Escape and Uther Party.

>>1039430 Unpopular opinion. I'm a long-time Warcraft 3 veteran, and I think Reforged isn't so bad. They patched a lot of the issues with launch for multiplayer. I really like how they brought back older UI designs from The Frozen Throne for Reforged. I like how they have an option to use the Classic models as well (I always prefer Classic over Reforged, so glad there's an option to revert a few of the changes). My only complaint is how they changed the lobby chat for custom games...

I do not understand why they keep pushing the "WC3 but with better graphics" meme when we already have HD graphics mod packs, they did what the community had done before but butchering the original character design in the process. Reforged HD units look like dogshit. Just re-release the original game but with better modding tools and let the community do the rest.
