Game of the Month #14 (Fanservice Frenzy Edition): Pseudoregalia (PC) Anonymous 11/17/2024 (Sun) 15:48:00 Id: 1cb69c No. 1040550
>What is this? This is exactly how it sounds: A game is chosen each month (which will be relatively or totally obscure on purpose) with hopes of bringing new avenues of playing potential to anons with narrow video game perspectives. The goal isn't necessarily to pick bad games, but obscure ones nobody, or as few people as possible, have played. You can play the game and then use that fact as bragging rights to others! You can use it to broaden your backlog horizons! or you can forget about it. It's up to you. THIS MONTH: Pseudoregalia (PC) >Where do I get this? https://multiup.org/561d1ade2b2085ad61059aae41a0fd3a GUIDELINES FOR FUTURE GotMs: Poll for December 2024: December's Long Haul! https://poal.me/7yo83j This month we'll celebrate those titles that take absurdly long to beat, let alone 100%, or that take place over the span of an extremely long time, be it years, decades or even eras. Pick any game, as long as it meets the criteria, it can make it to next month's thread! If you do not like any of the games in the poll, you can either add a new entry manually, or reply to the OP with a different suggestion. Don't come crying to me if you don't like the game, blame democracy. If you DO suggest a game though, please, report all relevant information on the game (magnet/dl link, interesting mods, guides, tutorials on tech, speedrun etc.). Feel free to suggest any and every game you can think of, bonus points if it's games that barely anyone has played or talks about in the [Current Year] or that fit the month thematically. However, try and follow these rules: 1) No game that relies on modern hardware. If the game cannot be pirated or emulated properly, or no working emulator for the game exists, most people won't be able to enjoy it, rendering the thread kind of pointless; 2) No always-online games, meaning no live service games or mobile games that are dependent on external servers, unless a backup instance of said servers has been created by its fans or the offline content is significantly larger than the online content; 3) For multiplayer games, provide only free to play games that let players create their own servers, or games with local multiplayer that can be set up to play online (requires someone to be a hostfag, or, and may Allah forgive me for uttering these words, using Parsec); 4) No game that requires gimmicky controls to be enjoyable (guitar pedals, Wiimotes, cameras etc.) unless they can be easily remapped or translated into some other control scheme. don't care about the game but I do love the heroine being a cat jackal rabbit goat thing. she has an animation where if she's at low hp, Sybil slams into whatever she sits on exhausted. Finished the game and i can agree with >>1040603 the game can be a bit short if you ignore stuff like secrets/optional upgrades but the game overall is pretty good. My only complain, besides being short, is the game being made especially with the controller being the proper way to play it because moving the camera with the mouse can be very frustrating on how fast moves even when the camera speed is set to the lowest one. Combat feels very clunky but luckily is not the main draw of the game. Overall is a very nice game, not the "OH MAI GAWWD SO AWESOME!!1!" i've seen some people claim to be, and Sybil doesn't have an ass THAT big she actually has a nice proportioned figure. However i have one question about the ending: Is Sybil some sort of Freddy Kruegeresque entity that instead of maiming in your dreams she spanks you so you'll stop being a piece of shit in real life, and can only exists in dreams? If that's the case that's a sad life, wanna give her a hug, and marry her she looks too perfect to be a dream.

>>1043657 Well it's Christmas time, so maybe Xmas Lemmings? Does it have to just be one game for the month - or can you have a two-fer? Cowboys vs Supernatural and Indians vs Aliens (Prey).
>>1043674 Lemmings sounds good but these polls get rigged. Mark should choose the game each month.
>>1043680 This isn't Strawpoll, Poal doesn't get rigged quite as easily.
>>1043687 Ur dumb
>>1043687 rigged this month's game, Pseudoregalia. He's the rigger, >>1040555. OP called shit out too: >Now, the supposed winner of the poll is a game called Pseudoregalia (PC), however I have some reservations about making it the official one. It's extremely fishy how it has amassed so many despite usually most games winning at the 10-12 votes thresholds. I'm open to hearing out any complaints "These polls get rigged. Mark should choose the game each month" slinks him out in half an hour to defend his rigging then he slides >>1043680, "these polls get rigged," with a 2-word (1) in literally 46 seconds. Most obvious samefag award, better Mark pick games than this exploitative retard who just ruins it.
>>1043692 >rigged a poll by adding something to the list and voting once for it and a few other things on the list Nigger, all I did was add it to the list and other people voted for it too, you're a fucking dumb faggot.
>>1043657 Simply click on the "Add Answer" button at the bottom of the possible choices https://poal.me/7yo83j >>1043674 It's one game per month, unless there's some special circumstances (i.e. a game that requires two different titles to be beat or whose different versions have significant changes between each other but still count as the same title). >>1043680 At this point I'm inclined to say that the rigging is part of the GotM experience, unless I can get photos of each individual anon to do a show of hand for each game you'll always get some wacky results one way or the other Adding a theme at least ensures that we'll play a game that required a bit more thought put into the selection
>>1043753 Added Blood West. pls vote for Blood West.
>>1043657 Great fucking game. I think it lack content though and 2nd area was pretty kinda lame. Otherwise I highly recommend it.
>>1042308 >Why would you block a pastebin service anyway? Wondering too.

>>1043753 >At this point I'm inclined to say that the rigging is part of the GotM experience, you'll always get some wacky results one way or the other >I'm open to hearing out any complaints Has been part of the GotM experience, doesn't have to be. We don't have enough Anons for rigging to be hard, the rigger can rig 10 votes in 10 minutes to win. The rigger's out of control. People laugh at his rigged kusoge so he rigs the thread to 1-2-slide them, rigs fresh IDs to recycle his same insults, and tries to rig the meta thread to rig jannies to delete people, all to keep his GotM rigging unopposed. He white knights the integrity of a fucking internet poll to keep his GotM rigging unopposed. 3/4 last GotMs were PC when PC never GOTMed before, the next he's rigging (Lobotomy Corporation)'s also PC, polls get overnight vote dumps. The last legit GotM, Tomato, won at 4 votes, LoboCorp has fucking 20, 8chan didn't quintuple its posters 3 GotMs apart. His patterns are becoming obvious, this mentally ill shill shouldn't get a sticky for his rigged kusoge. Democracy worked until it didn't and this isn't democracy. It's a mentally ill shill rigger choosing. /v/ is Mark's, Mark choosing is better than him. If Mark's not interested, you should. You're a good actor, the rigger isn't. You helped 8chan out long, you deserve say. Maybe you and Mark can alternate choosing. Would Mark agree?
Best way to pick the game is to assign all the suggested games to a number and roll dice until the same number shows up 3 times.
>>1043930 I REALLY should start getting my shit together in the new home and contact the admins already >>1044070 I mean, the difference between us and the lantinX is that we're a fraction of an older imageboard and they're their entire imageboard. It was always gonna be more of them than us. >>1044151 I understand what you mean, but there's two problems with removing the democratic vote out of the equation. On the one hand, I haven't played half the games that are on a GotM thread (and I myself wished to play more and more original games through Anons' suggestions) so at best you'd get some safe titles from me/Mark and at worst something neither of us have played and may as well be some bargain bin Great Value™ title. On the other hand, removing the interactive part of the GotM kills any hype anon might have for the next one. Half of the GotM threads are all about guessing what's gonna be on the menu next month and occasionally someone mentioning that this month's title was pretty good or pretty shite or that they've been meaning to play it for a while. I really don't want people to stop interacting with the thread, but I agree that your concerns are legitimate. If you have some good voting system we can implement, then I'm all ears. >Kakistocracy Is this a MentisWave reference? >>1044158 I like the idea of randomizing the GotM, however you incur in another, more devious form of rigging - that is, some malicious actor could drown the suggestion pool with hundreds of titles that may not even have anything to do with the theme of the GotM, or duplicate the suggestions to increase his odds. I don't really want to sift through hundreds of suggestions or make the whole thing a first come first serve sort of deal either by limiting the amount of games that can be suggested. However, I do agree with you anons that Lobotomy Corporation getting 20 votes out of the blue in such a short time is extremely suspicious, so if any of you guys know of a way to look at the historic data between poal, or better yet, if there's a polling service that can track when individual votes are cast, it'd be pretty handy for me.
>>1044249 >I like the idea of randomizing the GotM, however you incur in another, more devious form of rigging - that is, some malicious actor could drown the suggestion pool with hundreds of titles that may not even have anything to do with the theme of the GotM, or duplicate the suggestions to increase his odds Good logic, and I think that already happens but on a much lesser scale than hundreds. For better randomizing of the GotM, pick a number N from 10 to 1000, roll a die from 1 to N, then find the game matching N here: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/games/rankings Check the game against your 4 rules. If it doesn't break one, pick it. If it breaks one, roll again. This is good enough for a GotM system and solves your concerns. You'll get new games to play, what's on the menu next month stays a mystery, and the games are good enough to get people to interact with them.
>>1044253 Matching the dice roll outcome I meant, not matching N.
>>1044151 > when PC never GOTMed before Well not in this incarnation at-least. >The last legit GotM Only if your criteria for "fair" is "games that aren't on PC because I have an autistic obsession with that notion" >won at 4 votes Was more than that (pretty sure I've seen it at 6 or more at some point) but poal has an habit of removing votes (see https://poal.me/ejfitw or any of the slightly older polls), might've also had to do with the thread prior being such an autistic shitshow lowering engagement in general because prior threads had winners in the low double digits. >>1044249 Maybe not allowing multiple choices per voter and making sure the vote doesn't appear in the public list might help, could have simply been some other group using poal deciding to shit up other polls. Other than that there's really no surefire way to make it actually fair without a bunch of restrictions that might just kill participation, maybe making the poll entirely within the thread would help but then it might just turn out to be hundred of spam replies (and you can't change your mind if something you like better comes up latter)
PSA, the above (1) is the guy rigging the polls who got people banned from the last thread for rejecting his inorganic nigger worship game with four niggers drawn like Marvel soyheroes where one was shirtless with a body-building physique holding up a fucking b-ball erupting lightning into the heavens like the Hammer of fucking Thor. The (1) is him because he's calling the nigger worship opposition an "autistic shitshow." defending his PC rigging when >>1044151 said "3/4 last GotMs were PC when PC never GOTMed before," the games he's using as evidence his numbers aren't fucked are games he rigged himself, and he's pushing for polling he can rig.
>>1044249 >>I REALLY should start getting my shit together in the new home and contact the admins already Asking Codexx sounds worth a shot since the blacklist's global. If rentry was used in spam attacks in the past but not now, your need for rentry justifies rentry's reinstatement. >>1044151 >>1044158 >>1044249 >>1044253 >>1044254 Randomizing the selection somehow is definitely the way to go, it's as rigproof as you'll get. 1044253's method sounds fine. IDs going "(((polling)))'s so great actually" should (obviously) be regarded with extreme suspicion given past and ongoing rigging.
>>1044262 Why do you have to act like a complete nigger when your own bias is pointed out? >The (1) is him because he's calling the nigger worship opposition an "autistic shitshow. I'm talking about the thread before Tomato Adventure, not the one after you absolute fucking retarded faggot,. >>1044264 >Randomizing the selection somehow is definitely the way to go, it's as rigproof as you'll get. It'll be rigproof sure but it'll also be normalfag-tier taste and overwhelmingly super popular stuff that's already been played / recommended to death, I'm fairly sure none of the current or past GotM choice could've happen under that set of rules, except maybe Gunstar Heroes and Mario. Honestly I'd much rather we propose a bunch of games and the thread maker decides which one is the one this month himself or with a closed committee vote by mark + the vols maybe.
Rigger keeps on going.

>>1044249 >I like the idea of randomizing the GotM, however you incur in another, more devious form of rigging - that is, some malicious actor could drown the suggestion pool That's a fresh ID you answered. You saw right through the logic hole, and you made that hole clear. If he's the rigger, he wants to exploit that hole, and probably is, because the rigger showed on a fresh ID, 7bbf40, to double down on exactly that: "proposing a bunch of games" to drown the suggestion pool. You nailed it like a prophet. And that rigger's been here as 7bbf40, since waking up, over 3 hours, having nothing to do but the damage control he did for other rigged games, which he does forever. When rig alarms sounded I paid attention. The only legit GotM from the last 4 was Tomato. I saw the vote dumps for others. He rigged the game before Tomato, people caught on then too, and he argued 10 hours with 4-5 guys with security concerns over running his PC files. It's obvious now, when 3/4 last GotMs were PC, the next he rigged is PC, and PC never GotMed before that, that he wore them down so he could rig 3 of the next games with PC shit unopposed. He recycles the same insults, keeps trying to rig the meta thread to rig jannies to delete people, and has a psychologically disturbed fixation on rigging your event. Don't let him. When a method he can't rig was suggested, "For better randomizing of the GotM, pick a number N from 10 to 1000, roll a die from 1 to N, then find the matching game from these user ratings," he says past GotMs couldn't have happened, when really, certain GotMs he rigged couldn't. That's his real problem. After looking, YuuYuu Jiteki, which he rigged, is unrated there. His rigged kusoge couldn't happen. Games before his rigging are rated "Great" to "Outstanding," and some are obscure, not normal games. Rigged "voting" should be dropped, democracy worked until it didn't. I think you, Mark, or both should pick. Yes, there are problems, far lesser than this rigger and his damage control causes. If you won't pick, the user rating idea is fine. Or develop randomization yourself, people trust you. Just no votes, they're riggable and rigging causes more trouble than any alternative.
Isn't lobotomy corporation a gacha or something? Anyways I think the GotM should go to lesser known/less popular games.
>>1044297 Well since you're just gonna schizopost, I'm just gonna say RENT FREE >>1044300 >Isn't lobotomy corporation a gacha or something? I think you're mixing it up with Limbus Company
>>1044253 If I had to randomize the choice of game/s, at the very least I'd rather use something like https://www.uvlist.net/ as it's relatively less biased towards commercially successful or more known titles. Obviously I would probably disregard certain games if they're on obscure consoles or extremely simplistic, unless I bundled them together with more titles to make them worth playing in bulk. >>1044259 I think PC games are perfectly acceptable, however the caveat is that they need to be able to run on commodity hardware with reasonable results. We never agreed on a cutoff year though, so I'd like to hear your opinion on that - I'm guessing 2016 would be a nice place to stop. >Maybe not allowing multiple choices per voter I'd rather give people more choices than less, especially since I've allowed adding extra games to the poll. >and making sure the vote doesn't appear in the public list might help Sure, I can do this for the next poll. >>1044262 >PSA, the above (1) is the guy rigging the polls who got people banned from the last thread for rejecting his inorganic nigger worship game I literally added the game as a meme entry lol >>1044300 Doesn't look like it to me.
>>1044303 >I'd rather give people more choices than less, especially since I've allowed adding extra games to the poll. Fair enough. >We never agreed on a cutoff year though, so I'd like to hear your opinion on that - I'm guessing 2016 would be a nice place to stop. Makes it easier I guess though going by required hardware might be better in which case something like running on mid tier 2012 hardware as a cutoff is reasonable enough
>>1044303 >If I had to randomize the choice of game/s, at the very least I'd rather use something else If you require this, there's a simple solution: add a rule 5, like "must not exceed C commercial success," then check the game against that rule too. If it breaks the rule, roll again.
>>1043753 >rigging is part of the GotM experience Dunno why you retards try to unrig shit when the host said this, take a hint. Dude's gonna hide vote totals now cause the kike rigging it got scared you'll archive his poll jumps cause you retards big-mouthed about them in public. You showed your enemy his weakness so he can social-hack the fix, you're all worse off than you started. Don't like a rig? Don't bitch, that's weak. Rig it yourself. 2nd and 3rd are trying. No time? There are people that share erotica when it relates to molesting puppy dogs and screwing roadkill. There's an actual section of the furry fandom that is into that shit. I think people forget why it was that the internet started to hate furries in the first place. It was their constant need to insert themselves into other communities, to flood certain imageboards and shit them up, to share their degenerate artwork, and to facilitate the creation of the kind of content where some retard in a mascot uniform is banging woodland creatures and fucking them to death in a forest. That's what kind of drew the hatred in. That's kinda what made people not like them in the first place.

You make yourself look bad. I won't defend Chris Chan, he's something, but he's not typical. They're a young adult problem which gamers typically are, not a gamer problem. Gamer culture's known for "bigotry." The Nielsen Games 360 Survey from 2020 shows that 10% of gamers, who are mostly young adults, identify as LGBTQ, while the PRRI, looking at mostly young adults in general, finds around three times that, 28%, identify as LGBTQ.

It's the nature of small "anonymous" places >I just remind myself I'm not immune to propaganda, and never take anything too seriously Thank you for including me in those 7 posts you found interesting about the furfilth guy rigging the polls. To learn more about his tactics here, read the PDF I'm posting, The Gentleman's Guide to Forum Spies, discussing COINTELPRO techniques for dilution, misdirection, and control of an internet forum, twenty-five rules of disinformation, eight traits of the disinformationalist, how to spot a spy, and seventeen techniques for truth suppression. He does these: >FORUM SLIDING: If a very sensitive posting of a critical nature has been posted on a forum - it can be quickly removed from public view by 'forum sliding.' Several fake accounts exist, which can be called upon, to ensure that this technique is not exposed to the public. To trigger a 'forum slide' and 'flush' the critical post out of public view it is simply a matter of logging into each account both real and fake and then 'replying' with a simple 1 or 2 line comment. The critical posting slides quickly out of public view. Although it is difficult or impossible to censor the posting it is now lost in a sea of unrelated and unuseful postings. By this means it becomes effective to keep the readers of the forum reading unrelated and non-issue items. >Third Rule of Disinformation: Avoid discussing issues by describing all charges, regardless of venue or evidence, as mere rumors and wild accusations. Other derogatory terms mutually exclusive of truth may work as well. Certify it as a wild rumor which can have no basis in fact. >Fifth Rule of Disinformation: Sidetrack opponents with name calling and ridicule. This is also known as the primary 'attack the messenger' ploy. Associate opponents with unpopular titles such as kooks, conspiracy buffs, [schizos, autists, med-takers], and so forth. This makes others shrink from support out of fear of gaining the same label, and you avoid dealing with issues. >Ninth Rule of Disinformation: Play Dumb. No matter what evidence or logical argument is offered, avoid discussing issues except with denials they have any credibility, make any sense, provide any proof, contain or make a point, have logic, or support a conclusion. Mix well for maximum effect. >Sixteenth Rule of Disinformation: Vanish evidence and witnesses. If it does not exist, it is not fact, and you won't have to address the issue. >Seventeenth Rule of Disinformation: Change the subject. This works especially well with companions who can argue with you over the new topic. >Twenty-fourth Rule of Disinformation: Silence critics. If the above methods do not prevail, consider removing opponents from circulation by some definitive solution [appeal to moderators] so that the need to address issues is removed entirely.
