Don't get me wrong. I'll still prefer Emerald over RS any day of the week. the Synchronize ability was upgraded in Emerald. Now if you have a pokemon with Synchronize in the first slot, any pokemon you encounter could have the same nature as them. Gives you more control over a wild pokemon's nature. Ruby/Sapphire didn't have that effect yet.

Kinda makes it hard to go back to older pokemon games. The only thing that keeps SV from being perfect is that Foul Play and Trick Room exist. So sometimes a 0 Attack IV or a 0 Speed IV might be better for competitive battles. But in SV, there's no way to lower your pokemon's IV down to 0.
