If only the monsters weren't copypasted clones, I would've liked this game more. Devs were lazy and reused the same 3d models with slightly different skins.

>>1171499 Yeah the combat isn't great, the AI is retarded and will burn through all of its mana as quickly as it possibly can, it wasn't the weakest link for me though. Another thing I had a problem with was just how much the game holds your hand for the beginning. The game really feels like it almost never opens up until you get the boat.

I was pretty young last time I played it, I think I got to the boat fight with the dark djin before my ps3 had a unfixable issue. I never got that far again. I wanna replay but the beginning is such a slog of handholding, it’s why I don’t replay pokemon games either.

Yeah I was disappointed. The story is good, the animation is fantastic. I love the wizard book in the game. Yet the gameplay is trash. I was really disappointed after playing this game for a good while - I was travelling the high seas, visiting islands and visiting fairy island (and the industrial village), before I stopped playing. I wanted it to be better, but the gameplay just was lacking.
