Did everyone who know how to make him look good leave the company like why does he look so fucking ugly now
Ratchet always looked awkward to me. His personality in the first game is great but I always just tolerated his design at best.
>>1185840 They want him to look like a family friendly Pixar mascot character

>>1185840 Man, I loved the PS3 tetralogy even if it was inferior to the PS2 games. To me that's when Ratchet ended, didn't play the PS4/PS5(?) games and never will

>>1185840 OG Ratchet is kinda androgynous. nuRatchet looks more masculine (aka uglier) because they gave all the feminine features to Rivet.
>>1186432 Reminder that the art designer for her celebrated publicly when the reveal happened and she had porn posted within minutes
>>1185840 >>>/vb/ You could have just started a normal Rachet and Clank thread. Until you guys learn to use the Subject field (there is no need to hide from a vol thinking your thread is a "general" and /v/anning it), sage.
>>1185840 Biggest change I see is that his neck and body are scrawnier. Looks like they tried to make him look cuter.
>>1185840 If you look at the credits for each of the PS3 Ratchet games you'll notice some of the names start to drop off after the Future titles. This would only continue to happen over the years because, in between Ratchet and Resistance, Insomniac kept trying to make other games. Remember Overstrike? No, you don't. Remember Song of the Deep? No, you don't. Remember Sunset Overdrive? You might remember it being an Xbone launch exclusive, which meant nobody bought it, and that game journalists used press coverage of the game to promote the earliest tranny propaganda horseshit that still now plagues the world, but not the actual game itself. Remember all of those VR games they were making? No, you don't. Insomniac wasted a lot of money trying to branch out in all of these different directions, coupled with general burnout failing in all of these endeavors, and you have the old guard veteran employees and founders leaving the company to either find other work or just retire from video games entirely. Even Spider-Man and Ratchet 2016 don't have many of the old names listed in their credits, and a lot of those names that are there are from outsource companies which nobody likes to see. Then Sony up and bought the entire company so that just completes the entire picture right there.
>>1186811 >Remember Overstrike? I do. Then focus testing happened and it became Fuse >Remember Song of the Deep? I do not. Tell me more about it >Remember Sunset Overdrive? I got the PC version on Steam for like 5 bucks. Fun game. Good but not great
>>1186811 >If you look at the credits for each of the PS3 Ratchet games you'll notice some of the names start to drop off after the Future titles Well yeah. That's normal. New devs replace older devs that can't keep up with the current technology. I doubt that many PS3 devs have the skillset to make advanced PS5 games today.
as a kid I liked spyro and ratchet & clank so much that I wished to join insomniac and work for them. I realized I'm an uncreative fuck who really can't make art, but I can't help but wonder if insomniac, and most companies, the victims of millennials joining these companies lacking any real original ideas of their own.
