Games ruined by Touch controls / Motion controls Anonymous 04/21/2025 (Mon) 05:31:16 Id: c73d30 No. 1187833
Which games annoyed you the most with Touch/Motion gimmicks? >Gravity Rush sliding race missions with awful steering because of motion controls >Zelda Phantom Hourglass forcing everything to be touch controls. like walking & slashing
>>1187833 remember bloodborne lol those fucking gestures
>>1187833 >Gravity Rush Actual skill issue unless you're talking about the PS Vita version
>>1188315 Yes, I'm talking about the Vita version with janky steering. I did platinum'd the game, but I still hated those missions the most.
>>1188380 I played the HD remaster on the ps4 and I actually loved the gyro controls; it's in fact the game that sold me on the mechanic and I use it in most games that feature it
I think Twilight Princess and especially Skyward Sword are good examples of the motion controls actively bringing the game down. The Nintendo Wii era in general was brought down in quality so Nintendo to could hawk their Wii Sports
>>1187833 onichanbara on wii
>threads ruined by autism OP's
htol#niq tops the list as a kaizo deathtrap touchscreen game costing $20 on the vita that was so bad it had to come up with three control schemes. the first two control schemes demand exact timing precise pinpoint tapping on both the front and back capacitive touch screens of the vita, which you will end up fatfingering due to the jerky input, the response delay of guiding the protagonist, the input delay and lack of precision on the touchscreens, and the nature of your finger covering the screen as you guide the fireflies through insta death surface corridors. it was only much later that they added the analog stick/dpad movement and physical button presses button scheme in a later patch for the japanese version after getting numerous complaints. nobody playtested this game. it was pure artificial difficulty, the game itself wasnt that hard, and nippon icchi knew this yet sold the title because it generated playtime by fake difficulty. just a few years prior, nippon icchi introduced cladun on the psp for the shocking price of only $5 and it became a smash hit. bamco when they were a respectable company also released the another episode return of the defense force dlc expansion for god eater 2 on the psp for $10, introducing survival quests and fully voiced additional story and it was well received. so the quality of the game at the time for the price point they demanded was really unacceptable. the real title of the game is horse#shit, and nippon icchi had no business degrading themselves with flash game rubbish.
>>1187833 Gravity Rush wasn't ruined by it at all? everything can be done manually. >sliding race missions with awful steering You can literally choose the direction you're going with no pointing gestures and with the sticks? i played this recently so what are you talking about? it doesn't control poorly. I'm talking about the remaster that controls with a DS4.
