Do you own any vidya merchandise? Anonymous 11/07/2023 (Tue) 13:12:57 Id: 4afb10 No. 903943
Toys, t-shirts, kitchenware, statues, etc. If not, Is there any you would like to own but is too expensive/not worth it? If you don't know, Resaurus is a toy company from the late 90s which made toys from vidya franchises at from the time. They went bankrupt shortly after due to how high detailed these figures were compared to their prices, making them unprofitable. Because of this they will fetch very high prices in today's market.
I used to own this Claire Redfield action figure as a kid, it must be in a box somewhere in my grandma's house. Boy, let me tell you it was pretty hard to convince my dad to buy me an action figure of a chick, in his eyes that was a doll.

I own a Space Channel 5 little tiny lunchbox, please say something nice about it. >>903945 Any pics?
User was banned for stealing anon's lunchbox
>>903950 Heh, it would be funny to think about a little kid going around with an ulala lunchbox. >Any pics? No.
(54.16 KB 400x647 book 1.jpeg)

I got the full Descent novel trilogy, as well as the first three Halo novels.

>>903950 I'm glad you like my lunchbox anon, but what kind of skinwalker shit is this? https://zzzchan.xyz/v/thread/216469.html#216618 Why would you copy my post verbatim?
I don't really have much. Some Pokemon figures from when I was young but that's about it. I have Metro 2033 (the book), but I didn't even play the games. Was a good read though. >>903946 Post the screencap, you know the one
>>903943 Never had, and never will. Merchandise is useless.
>>903975 Seems pretty easy to understand, someone didn't have shit to add to the discussion and just chose to copy and paste replies from elsewhere. Since you're here, is the lunchbox still closed in its packaging or have you tried using it?
(1.49 MB 4032x2308 Sengoku Basara.jpg)

I got a Sengoku Basara hanafuda deck in the other day. Now all that's left is the playing card deck they made for 3 Utage that I can't find.

>>903946 >>904026 You mean this one?
>>904135 I'm not sure, I snagged it on ebay a number of years back, and I've left it in whatever plastic I got it shipped in. It's just a taped-shut plastic sleeve, so I doubt it's original. >seems pretty easy to understand I don't agree, who in their right mind wants to artificially stimulate a discussion by stealing other anon's posts, under the same stolen OP, still active on another site? What kind of a community are you hoping to build with these means? >>904144 I like your deskmat.
>>904192 Thanks, was pretty surprised at the size of it when it came in, just barely managed to fit.
>>904192 I have seen worse. Like the /icup/ anon spamming his cup every where.

>I wanted to play with Mario and Sonic >They didn't have the figures when I was younger NOW they are everywhere it's not FAIR >I had to imagine that I was playing with Mario instead Good lord, I felt the exact same way when I was younger. I had Chinese b daman knockoffs which I played like they were Mario using my imagination, but nowadays they are fucking everywhere. It's not fair.
>>904192 >I don't agree, who in their right mind wants to artificially stimulate a discussion by stealing other anon's posts, under the same stolen OP, still active on another site? You're underestimating anon's autism.
>>904073 So are videogames, yet you play them.
>>904230 I used to take the plastic lids (when you first open them, after the screw-off one) from orange juice crates and put them on other action figures' heads to pretend they were Raiden. I suppose being the right age at the height of Pokemania made up for the lack of all of the other toys, that shit was everywhere. I wish I still had my big Charmander plushie.
>>903943 > Do you own any vidya merchandise? Aside from special edition stuff, I think I bought the a few art books from the souls series, and one Vice City t-shirt. I was given a few things from an EB games employee like a framed cell of a game called Viewtiful Joe and a cell phone strap of .hack. I also bought the mini Bubble Bobble arcade game because of nostalgia, shame it is the NES version because the arcade was more comfy. What I would like to own is some more miniature arcade cabinets that I thought were very cool art design as a small child, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Galaga cabinets were quite impressionable. >>903950 wtf? >>903965 I read a bioshock and elderscrolls and Metro 2033 novel but somehow never see that as collectible merchandise.
>>904192 Speaking of Ebay, is the service in the States any better than in Europe? I remember about ten or so years ago buying stuff from overseas or even on the continent, and it taking like months to reach, sometimes in a slightly damaged state. Until Amazon came around that put a damper on my buyfag habits for quite some time. >>904230 >I wanted to play with Mario and Sonic >They didn't have the figures when I was younger NOW they are everywhere it's not FAIR >I had to imagine that I was playing with Mario instead I feel you, anon. Had a couple of action figures for Crash Bandicoot and some other boolegs, but for the most part I had to write the characters down on scraps of paper and pretend I had them.
>>904426 >Speaking of Ebay, is the service in the States any better than in Europe? It's been consistently great on my end, but not sure if that's just because I get good sellers or being in the states. My Basara cards >>904144 in both cases only took maybe two weeks from purchase to my doorstep, ditto for the various Gundam playing card decks I've bought.
>>903943 Mostly Figma figures. Samus [Other M (because Prime 3's version wasn't even in prototype stages yet)], [Dread (red, white, and blue suit)], Link [Skyward Sword]. I don't buy this stuff often, only when a whim strikes me, which is pretty rare.

I have Marisa and Reimu Yukkuri stuff animals. i used to have a lot of sonic stuffed animals, but lost them because i keep storing them.

I wish I had some cool Nintendo merch as a kid. I did get some, but not near as much as I wanted. I actually have some OOT action figures (Link, Zelda, Impa, Ganondorf, complete with horses) from my teen years and just recently bought some BOTW action figures for no other reason than Kid Me would have fucking loved to have them. And I have a Samus action figure in my favourite variant of her suit (Phazon Suit from Metroid Prime 1). We won't talk about my amiibo collection
I noticed this thread but I didn't feel like posting in it until now. I don't own much because I don't give a shit about materialism much and honestly showing what I have to strangers wont really matter at all but I own a >Jamaican Pikachu my brother got at a Miami airport. >A replica FF8 gunsword my brother used to have that he let me keep Theres a ruler for a size comparison, I hard hardly lift it as I'm a fucking twink >A LoZ heart lamp and socks my brother bought me >A Golden Mario amiboo I bought when I finally got a fucking job >AC6 Collectors edition ($264 I think) That is and probably will be the single most expensive merch in general that I will ever buy
>>904437 Thanks for making me aware of those things existing. I'm getting them both now when I can find them at a good price on suruga-ya

>>909078 Mine were super expensive, 80$ for both, they were probably hand made, i got them at a convention, i really wanted them, since i love the adorable Yukkuries a lot. I remember you could find them easily a few decades ago on the mainstream shopping sites, and they were better than the ones i have, because they looked more like the actual originals. These were the ones i could find on a quick search on ebay, but they're worse now. Amazon used to have them but not anymore. i hope you can find them, i wish i could be of more help.
>>909085 This was the one I saw on Suruga-ya earlier, it looks like official merch - and it's priced accordingly. About 80 dollars EACH
>>909088 I personally don't like the hair of that one in that photo but maybe it's just the photo? Mine appear to look like Yukkuries in the original meme picture, but when they're in front of you the faces look slightly different, but still good enough. They have a tag on the side with Japanese writing and a picture of the yukkuris on it. maybe it's not handmade. The tag also says Phantasm screen witch leads to me to some personal shop with the ones i have, if you want to try and buy them there. When i click on the "buy" section it just leads me to the default site, maybe it's an abandoned page. https://myfigurecollection.net/entry/39177 https://myfigurecollection.net/item/1451161

Fucking japan.
>>909041 Sweet gunblade, anon. I was the weird kid that preferred FFVIII to all the others at the time, and I always wanted one of those (though I did think Seifer's gunblade was cooler)
(42.06 KB 375x500 s-l500.jpg)

I don't like buying merch, so everything I have is stuff I got from others. Only thing I ever asked for was a Bowser beanbag from the late 90s (pic is just one I found online, mine's dusty). Back then it used to roar when you squeezed it, but the battery's long since died. Only way to replace it would to cut it open and re-stitch it. Also got a bunch of Fallout stuff from some friends one Christmas. Though Bethesda being Bethesda, it only relates to their games instead of the ones I've played.
No, I'm not a fucking faggot.
(15.64 KB 480x298 gluten free.jpg)

>>909115 Oh yes you are.
>>909109 This guy looks so goofy. My own Bowser plushie looks constipated.
>That'll be $200, plus shipping No.
>>903943 >first pic I've actually got those Sonic figures. I owned the Tails one when Sonic Adventure first came out and then a few years later picked up the rest of the main trio on eBay. Actually I got a second Tails and kept the new ones in their box. I don't often keep figures new-in-box, but I really liked them and wanted to keep them nice. The stands have a tendency to fall apart. I've actually got quite a few art books and other various items I've hoarded over the years. I don't really like spending a lot on merch but sometimes things will catch my fancy.
(292.14 KB 960x1280 DSCF9739 (960x1280).jpg)

Not really. I was cleaning tonight and found a pack of Persona 4 Tarot Cards and a Teddie Beach Ball thing some wagie at GameStop offloaded on me when I bought Arena Ultimax years ago.I got a Shantae and the Pirates Curse soundtrack, and a pack of Fallout New Vegas playing cards that were supposed to be used for pre-orders at Walmart but the guy was dumb and just passing them out to anyone who bought the game. The only collectable I ever really wanted was a Shino RAcaseal figure, but I don't think they even make those anymore.
>>909336 These yours, anon? I have never seen Jammer Lammy merch before. Now roll them in pizza
>>909554 No, sadly. Since normalfags jumped on the Parappa bandwagon, any merch related to the franchise costs a billion dollars. Don't even get me started on the people I see wearing Parappa's beanie at my university. >spoiler What?
(130.51 KB 1200x1600 LEON HELP.jpg)

>>903945 I can still vividly remember being so damn pissed off about those Toybiz RE toys because there were some really cool ones for the various zombies monsters, and bosses but no fucking toy stores or toy sections in video game stores ever had them, just a near infinite supply of the player characters ( leon, chris, claire, jill) which were also the shittiest ones as they were really off-model and awkward and didn't come with anything cool. I don't know if it had to do with their production numbers or if stores just didn't get any of them and doubled their orders for the "heros" because that's what they thought would sell but it was like the other shit just didn't exist and I never saw any in real life until they started popping up nearly two decades later online as well as flea markets and yard sales.

>>909595 >he doesn't know
>>923679 Anon why? Just let the thread die.
>>903943 A Nintendo Club Mario statue, Ami, Mami and Layton Revoltechs, and the Nintendo Club hanafuda cards if they count.
Figma Samus from the hideous Wii U game (missed out on Prime 3 Samus), Figma Link from Skyward Sword, a Mega Man model kit, and a much more recent Darth Revan figure. I wanted to get Nineball from Armored Core 1, but I don't $500 want it, so never mind. I probably have other stuff in storage, but not a whole lot, as I was predominantly interested in hardware, not toys.
>>903943 Do you own any cool vidya shirts?
>>909730 What really got me was the lack of articulation and weirdly leg spread pose that Leon had. Part of the fun of toys as a kid was being able to manipulate them into various poses, and not being able to see what an upright standing licker would look like or making Leon hold his gun sideways like his alt costume killed a lot of the appeal for me. >>957858 Not anymore. Used to have a bunch of vidya branded clothes in middle/high school, but outgrew most of them along with my taste in fashion changing. Most memorable thing I owned was probably this Zelda belt buckle. Its design was a literal pain because it would either stab your fupa or stomach if you sat down or leaned forward. The only thing I've bought recently was this Hatfish shirt, mostly because I like the design, but partially because a friend gifted me Hunt, and I wanted to support the devs without going down the dark path of paying for skins or premium currency. On the topic though, are there any other vidya T shirt designs that don't make you look like a sperg? Personally, I'm more a fan of subtle designs and not the GAMER™ aesthetic of being decked out in logos to become a walking advertisement.
(43.10 KB 334x500 89789789.jpg)

I only own this figure and a couple of artbooks. Sold all my vidya shit 5 years ago.
(936.88 KB 600x4300 memories.png)

I have a bunch of old vidya bullshit stored away. Off the top of my head I have the disgaea 4 figures that came with the deluxe version, dead rising 2's special edition with the case added zombix flyers, persona Q 3ds and game, and the lunar 2's trinkets and CD. I think about selling them but I never really get around to it when I have some spare time.

I own the Stubbins Parappa plush, admittedly it isn't that good since the ears jolt out, I only bought this considering how rare Parappa merch is. Outside of some old Amiibo figs I also have a Cotton nendoroid, I actually love this figure, I plan on getting a doll body for it eventually.
>>986796 How many hotglues?
>>986820 0. I have nothing to clean her off properly from hot gluing.
It doesn't really count as "merchandise" but I found an old Sega retail cabinet at a thrift shop for $100. The previous owner painted it white for some reason but the frosted sliding glass doors and side windows are in perfect condition. I plan on stripping the white paint off and giving it a glossy black enamel paint job with blue detailing for the Sega logo on the top left and red for the lines on the top and bottom, giving it a Genesis ascetic. Afterwards I'll fill it with all of my Sega consoles and other pieces of Sega memorabilia.
>>986832 This is pretty cool. Will you detail the process here?
>>986899 Sure. The updates will probably be pretty slow though since I'll only have a day or two a week to work on it.
(805.32 KB 525x778 sun.png)

I have one of these on my keychain. It does help on some hard days.
>>904230 My parents were smart and got big sets of knockoff digimon figures off of ebay. Alot of them were miscolored or weird looking, but fuck it they were good enough. For children, even a bootleg can be fun. I'm sorry your parents couldn't get you any of those.
Just a splatfest tshirt to represent.
>>987195 Back when we were in elementary school, me and an old friend would go to an arcade that had what were blatantly bootleg Pokemon toys as prizes. While said arcade did have some cool games like The House of the Dead 4 and Wild Riders, we were both too focused on earning tickets to bother with them. Once we got home, we'd come up with all kinds of weird adventures for our pokemon to go on. All these years later, and I still have my little collection.

>>1023589 >>1023595 On that note, I'm a fair mixture of dissapointed and pissed that to this day no one has produced a Midna pocket pussy I guess if anyone tried they'd be C&D's into oblivion by niggertendo, but still it would be the perfect thing to make into a full-size silicone fuckhole.
