Does piracy exist in the current year? Anonymous 03/10/2024 (Sun) 03:19:21 No. 456748
I want to pirate like I used to in the 2010's. Demonoid, Pirate Bay... it was paradise. One thing that scared me away from pirating was a notice I got from my ISP that stated they received a complaint from Universal Studios that I was downloading one of their movies. Once Netflix came along, I had zero need to pirate, so I stopped. Haven't used torrents since, but now I want to get back to pirating games and software. How does one go about this in the current year? Do you need a VPN to stay anonymous? Tell me what I need to know.
>>456748 yeah, but it isn't as easy as it once was
You need a vpn in the first world countries to torrent copywritten material but if you are living in the thirld world countries you are essentially free to go torrent without a vpn since the goverment in those countries dont give a shit about piracy and always use an adblock when accessing piracy sites if you dont wanna get bombarded by adware
Why would you even pirate movies? There are free streaming sites granted they get taken down every month or two but pop back up fairly quickly. As far as I know ISPs can't do anything about you watching movies on those sites since you're not actually downloading them. As for games, all new games are shit and aren't even worth pirating.
>>456757 >why would you just search up a torrent and download it in 3 clicks? why don't you just search random sites on google until you find a shitty website that plays your movie at 360p rope yourself faggot i have a private tracker
>>456748 >thing that scared me away from pirating was a notice I got from my ISP that stated they received a complaint from Universal Studios that I was downloading one of their movies Imagine living in such a cucked country GEG
>>456748 >since netflix came along boy you are missing on so much good shit that exists outside of that rainbow infested shithole >ne thing that scared me away from pirating was a notice I got from my ISP imagimg living in a cucked country, i and legit everyone i know pirates everything

Has anyone tried torrenting with I2P? How was it?
>>456790 It's pretty good, its slow but its provides the most privacy for something like torrenting. I'd recommend it if the libraries of content available were larger tho cause rn they suck.
>>456770 >imagimg living in a cucked country, i and legit everyone i know pirates everything I truly only know of a few people and one pretends to know it all but goes after the other one to torrent for some reason (he's not bright)
I pirate everything, I don't gaf, I use YouTube revanced as well If I can't own it physically I'm not buying it Heil Hitler
demonoid and piratebay in 2010's? WHAT?
>>456749 It is tho. I've been pirating games, software and movies for over 15 years and it still works exactly the same way it always has. You just need to find a reliable source. There are still functioning warez boards and 1-click hosters. Just recently grabbed the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima, Hades II and a bunch of Switch games. My source even provides updates for Early Access games almost every day.

>>456748 I recommend using NordVPN and their private DNS. Route your connection thru Switzerland, because they have a law that specifically makes it illegal for companies to spy on torrenting/P2P networks. Even if you get caught, which you shouldn't, that evidence would be inadmissible in court.
>>460201 > just need to find a reliable source. That why it was not as easy as it it once was After the bay went down, it is hard finding places that can be trusted
>get notice from ISP that I'm pirating >complete Good Goy "I will no longer pirate I promise" form >go right back to pirating Problems weren't.
>>460494 based pirate
VPNs will sell your info out the second they get a court order. Most will rat you out when the company gripes. They're only useful for bypassing IP region blocks, not privacy. Torrents are still around. Most IP holders no longer even bother with USP notices as they know most of them don't give a shit & at best will forward it on just because they have to. Your ISP does not care & won't throw away money to can you because a company whined. Lots of US courts have begun tossing out "IP address" lawsuits too. The Mig Switch came out. I grabbed it before Nintendo went ballistic. They might ban me from online play? Fuck them. I don't play online. Banned from their store I will never buy from? Again, fuck them. DVD sets of TV shows have become cheap. $50 for a season has become $25 for the series. But don't be surprised if companies start calling piracy "woke" just because they know it will scare people off form doing it.
>>456748 The only kinda piracy that exists is the butt kind.
>hating piracy & simping for big corporations that will never care about you Imaging being so retarded you would stab yourself in the throat to benefit the wealthy.

>>456748 *bings your path*
Anti-piracy gamers have small dicks. Also notice how it's NEVER "piracy" at fault when a "woke" game fails yet piracy is totally absolutely 100% destroying the industry otherwise according to the industry?
>>456748 yes GapeN was right when he said piracy is a service problem. They keep removing shit from steam and replacing it with "remasters". I don't want that shit.
>>456770 >rainbow infested That explains why they platformed Dave Chappelle's white power bullshit...
>>460997 THANK-YOU! So good to see not all 8channers have drank the kool aid.
>>456748 I still use pirate bay it works for me still
>>456748 Decent private tracker, seedbox (my ISP throws a hissy shitfit from DMCAs), same shit as before.
I haven't bought a new retail game in 25 years. I pirate, but if I must buy I buy used. I don't need to enrich the rich further. MAGAmergaters always hate emulation & piracy because they suck off big business. They do it for the taste.

The Mig Switch V1 worked okay, V2 is better thanks to the button making game cycling easier. They renamed to Mig Flash though recently. Nintendo's lawsuits only go after US resellers, they can't touch the makers. I don't buy their "Danzig sues everyone on Earth"-level threat of going after buyers. I will keep my V1 for now though in case the V2 fails as these are a bit hard to find thanks to Shitendo screaming at stores & the damn things have gone up in price because of it. Rich people first world problems. It does only run card game rips though & finding ones that work- because older rips didn't have certain files as they didn't need them- can be a real bitch. Some games only have foreign language rips. The Russian megatorrent is the best option, unfortunately. Putting games on the card is slow & some games did not want to even show up in the list, I don't know if they were faulty rips or somehow the card doesn't support them. >"but you'll be banned from online play eventually" I care? >"they'll ban you from the shop too" Oh that thing I won't be buying from regardless? I don't believe a banned console is even banned from game update downloads. They could try to make the next firmware update block these, but airplane mode should shut that down if they try to force it. Used prices on the good games are way too high to get me to pay them. The Unlock Switch is coming out though & may even beat the Mig Switch in function or quality. A proper installed modchip will have more features though, regardless. >"go figure a woke asshole would pirate games" You aren't even trying with the insults anymore. Like I'll buy games to make your dumb ass happy(or literally anythign else you seethe over. Forget redpilling me, hick). Go be mad somewhere else, chomo smalldick. Maybe Faux News will come up with a new insult term you can use someday. Go figure it's the Retardlican corporate whores & the gamergate homos who give money to the big companies & see the non-issue of piracy as "bad". Do you love the taste of corporate cock after it's been up your ass?
