Maintaining the skill necessary to ethically and quickly kill prey. Cats cant exactly setup a soda can to shoot at so stimulation like a feather on a string is really important to suppress those urges in them, otherwise they'll find practice on their own. Never seen a cat kill larger aves though. Got a friend with a couple dozen ducks, geese and chickens and the cats are friendly (mostly) with them.
