Animation thread Part 7 Big Guy 07/03/2019 (Wed) 03:06:05 No. 145754 [Reply] [Last]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1mIlSwVGgM I think everyone knows the drill by now, but I'll paste the old description below for any new brothers. We are drawing/tracing every 6th frame from the plane scene to make an animated version. This set of frames will cover from the 2:15 mark ("For you") to about 2:30 ("Of courshe!") of the plane scene. How can I participate? 1) Find a frame that you would like to draw, e.g. frame 1944. 2) Search the thread to see if anyone has claimed that frame already ("ctrl-f #1944"). 3) If it is not claimed yet, post in the thread to reserve it by writing, e.g. "I claim #1944" - make sure to include the pound sign ("#") so that everyone else can ctrl-f and know that it's claimed! 4) Once you have drawn the frame, upload it to the thread and/or website (preferably both), and post in the thread that it is complete: "I have finished @1944". Again, including the @-symbol is important so we can track which ones have been completed. 5) Make absolutely sure you claim and post completion of your drawn frames - if you upload to the website or thread without noting it, someone else will probably grab your prize.

>>146318 Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the plane Not a creature was stirring, not even Bane The flight plan was filed with the agency with care CIA knowing the hostages wouldn’t all reach there The prisoners were kneeling with bags on their heads With visions of sleighbells and crashing sleds And CIA in his polo, and I in my cap, Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap When out on the clouds there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the seat to see what was the matter. Away to the aisle I flew like a flash, Tore open the seatbelt and turned in a dash After shouting and shooting, and questions of Bane

Analyzing Evil: CIA Big Guy 12/24/2023 (Sun) 07:04:28 No. 146368 [Reply]
Hello everyone and welcome to the 19874329574th episode of Analyzing Evil, featuring CIA from The Dark Knight Rises. In a previous video I've already covered some of the other characters in this movie, such as Bane and the League of Shadows, so this time I'm going to introduce another frequently requested character that we see early on in the movie. Although only having very little screen time, CIA or also known as Bill Willson has etched himself into the minds of the viewers through Aidan Gillen's timeless performance. If you take the time to read the screenplay for this film, you'll find out that there is so much of CIA that Aidan Gillen has made his own, so there's no denying that this movie wouldn't be as memorable without Aidan's legendary portrayal.

My frustration with the state of Baneposting Big Guy 08/13/2021 (Fri) 20:37:56 No. 146279 [Reply]
I recommend you a song, it's called "Leave the City," those words really put the whole thing into perspective for me. It's about death, about being so close to giving up, but still finding hope at the end of that tunnel. But what is the end of tunnel for *this*? What is Baneposting's endgame? Are we in it? Did we pass it? That's where the frustration is, I've been so focused on real life yet I think about the Plane Scene every day. I can play it again and again in my head. Every word. Every frame. But I don't know why. Is it because I'm autistic? Maybe. Or perhaps because I yearn for the heyday of Baneposting to return? I don't know, there's been nothing to show for months. It's because of Chocolate Rain that I'm typing this out now. Chocolate Rain lead me down the meme pipeline. I eventually made my way to 4chan in 2014. I had discovered Baneposting on /tv/. Baneposting changed my life forever. I owe so much to it. I know what I want to do with my life *because* of Baneposting. But there doesn't seem to be the passion for it now than there was back in 2016. It's all over. But is anyone crying?

Big Guy 01/15/2023 (Sun) 03:32:22 No. 146353 [Reply]
Banescholars, I have a question for you. I just noticed CIA in these frames doesn't quite look like the CIA we all know and love, so... Is this a stunt double, or is Aidan Gillen's nose really that big? I don't expect a swift reply, so I'll check back in a few months, maybe next year.
(6.07 KB 200x271 Wilson_punched.jpg)

Don't you see? You have spotted a glimpse of the dedication to his craft that Aiden Gillen possesses. See, Bravo Nolan had a vision of a seemless flow of action from shot to shot. To that end he shot Bane's dramatic take-over of the Wreckage Brother in chronological order. Thus the shot where Bane punches CIA in the face was filmed just the night before the shot of CIA falling to the front of the cabin. Understanding full well the seminal achievement that the film that they were shooting was going to be, Mr. Gillen instructed Tom Hardy to actually punch him for the sake of making his own reaction as realistic as possible. Of course, the next morning when the shot of CIA falling was filmed, Mr. Gillen's nose had swollen from the blow that it had sustained the night prior. Makeup did its best to disguise the fact, but you can see from your picture that it was only capable of so much illusion. As magnificently as the punch turned out, the film owes a debt of gratitude to Aiden Gillen for the pain that he endured to make it happen.

At least you can talk, wo are you? It doesn;t matter who we are, what matters is our plan. No one cared who I was until I put on the mask. If I pulled that off would you die? It would be extremely painful.
