For me ds2 is disappointing not because it was a bad game but because it actually had some really good ideas that were just abandoned by ds3.

Pus of Man & The Pilgrims
What are your theories on the pus of man and the pilgrim butterflies in DkS3? Both seem to be some sort of transformation that is happening to the hollows but with drastically different results. You can see it right at the start of the game. Some of the hollows have become pus of man and some are in the process of turning into butterflies (the hollow trees). There's also the stones that the pilgrims and clerics wear on their backs to contain their humanity and keep from becoming a pus of man. Thoughts?
