The Ant Guardians.
TD game against giant bugs.
>I like the mix of 2D and 3D for the art
>lots of summons with three factions to choose
>can level and equip summons
>good amount of enemy variety
>can build structures and walls
>some summons can be set to prioritize air
>hero summons
>some summons have abilities
-not really much mazing if you like that kind of TD
-resource upgrades seem too costly
<melee/repair units get stuck too often and just stand there either running in place or doing nothing
<difficulty spikes
<have to babysit certain summons to ensure they hit the right targets as only some can be set to target air first
<no option to set prioritize ranged
Rage Ball.
Click and drag a ball through an obstacle course. Reminds me of Marble Blast to a small degree.
>shiny metal everywhere surrounded by water mellows me out
>checkpoints exist
>feels good getting to the next checkpoint
-it is on the harder side as the name implies
<click and drag controls annoy me greatly
<framerate seems low for what little is on screen
<froze once
Metal Bringer
Roguelike action game with customizable robots.
>looks great and is well animated
>sounds good
>a good variety of weapons
>can customize your robo body and then you can customize your mech as you play
>can steal enemy mech parts
>can tune the parts as well
>pretty cool amount of color customization
>can just plow through the smaller robots in your mech
>enemies can hit each other
-be careful when pressing start, I tried to pause during the tutorial and fucking skipped it on accident, I also later accidentally skipped more combat segments when I tried to pause again later
-weapons can break off your mech and be destroyed and depending on where you are/what you lost this can take a while to replace
<standard enemies just kind of mosh pit together
<only one button rotates the camera (it can only spin one direction at least with a controller)
<dashing as the smaller robot girl doesn't always go in the direction you want
<some weapons suck ass
<long range targeting was iffy about where it aimed and not very reliable
Version Three - Invisible Raid
Indie Armored Core. A bit more basic though.[Expand Post]
>controller setups for gaystation and sexbox controllers
>demo save transfers to the full game
>has missions and arena modes
>rental parts which charge a small fee to use instead of buying it for full price
>can replay missions
>can customize your core, generator, booster, left and right weapons, top weapon, and optional parts
>can play with your paint job
>can color the HUD
>runs well
>looks and sounds alright
>story/writing is very similar to AC
>feels and plays well for the most part
-some things seem too inspired by AC
-pay for your ammo like the old AC games
<lock on range is a bit too short without the lock on range boost
<no energy usage so you can boost forever (this makes a lot of things far too easy)
<melee cooldown is pretty long
<lock on can be finicky or get stuck on targets through walls
