Google is going fuller jew by blocking the ability to install ad blockers. Already collecting & selling user data, but apparently everyone must also be subjected to pre-2000 pop-up ads.
I switched from Waterfox to Chromium long ago since I watch VODs on Twitch, but the extension that makes Twitch less shit would stop working on Waterfox, then never update so it'd just be broken forever.
My biggest issue is I want a PORTABLE install so I can run it on any computer without using any cloud bullshit to sync bookmarks & extensions.
For Chromium there's a good tool for keeping it updated & portable, however jewgle forces profiles which are locked per computer so I had to have a separate profile for every PC I use the "portable" browser on with scripts to switch between them on launch. Still portable, but stupid hoops to jump through.
For Waterfox there's no native portable installer of course & the 3rd party solution DOES NOT keep it up to date. Currently it's 13 versions behind! If anything breaks on those older versions of the browser you're fucked.
For third party portable solutions Portapps only seems to keep Firefox portable UP TO DATE.
Librewolf has a native portable version on their own site so no third party outdated bullshit, however IIRC the last time I tried Librewolf the things they strip out for security & privacy BROKE the browser so I had extensions not working at all.
I'm considering trying Librewolf portable, but I'm worried I'll hit the same issues I always get with a niche web browser. Out of date version, shit breaking, extensions not working, etc.
My question is what's a good PORTABLE browser to use that isn't blocking ad blockers, breaking pages & extensions, or else constantly out of date?
