you know the script, niggers for any 8/16bit and certain ps1 games, i've been using the 6 btn megadrive/genesis controller, love the d-pad and clicky buttons, so my question is, should i re-order another 6btn megadrive, or is there a better alternative?
>>1026872 Buyer's remorse is regret over a purchase, not satisfaction.
(130.35 KB 1200x800 258106_1200x800.jpg)

>>1026845 Honestly, if you are not a "hardcore" gamer, then I would seriously recommend a la-z-boy / recliner. Just a keyboard across your lap and a mouse on the armrest, it's the most comfortable gaming experience you can imagine.
>>1026876 In case you haven't notice /v/ occasionally misuses words. In this case "/v/ buyer's remose" = post-purchase rationalization. Tbe misuse comes from accusing the buyer is secretly regretting their decision by defending it like that "IT'S JUST A BETA" comic.
>>1026886 That sounds fucking awful, what kind of games are you playing that would require such little care for your mouse and keyboard?
>>1026896 These work fine. But it would be annoying getting up and down.
>>1026886 This was one of the most comfortable controllers I have ever used in my life, for just that reason. Lay it across your lap for easy typing, and your arms hang down at a much more natural position. I thought it'd be weird have two sides of the controller being so far apart, but there was really no adjustment period. Keyboard controllers really need to make a comeback for HTPC setups.
>>1026918 Why would you need that for an htpc? Everyone just uses keyboards with touchpads on them for that.
>>1026920 Well for one, it's less clutter. There's lots of games, especially emulated games, which are best played with a controller - so having an all-in-one device is ideal. The largest segment of the market who wants to PC game from their couch are going to want a more "console-like" experience and will use a controller for everything anyhow. Even a lot of older KB&M only games are usable on controllers now with key rebinding built into Steam. Just download the profile. Plus you'll have tons of room on the keyboard for extra buttons on more complex games. You can still put a trackpad or gyro on it anyhow, like a steam deck or steam controller.
>>1026826 I was going to dig into you for "Platform Fighters" since those are usually just smashlikes, but Guacamelee surprisingly meets that.
>>1026876 Yeah I fucked up when I said "buyers remorse". I should have used what this anon suggested, >>1026887 "post-purchase rationalization" as in, I paid a relatively huge amount of money for this chair, it's definitely not a waste, and it's definitely comfortable. One thing I read online about the Aeron, before buying it, and what I also experienced, is that at first it won't be that comfortable, but the more you use it, the more the body adjusts to it, because of post-purchase rationalization your body's posture is getting corrected, kinda like when a slightly hunched individual sits straight it hurts a bit, because his body isn't used to it. Another side effect, is that other chairs aren't as comfortable anymore, because the body is used to the Aeron's ergonomics.
>>1026918 I can't tolerate platformers on keyboard and need a controller though I like KB&M for shooters.
When were video game design degrees first invented? Or at least, when did they first become popular? I've got a hunch that the theories taught in video game design courses contributed to the decline in the quality of mainstream video games that began in the late 2000's. However, I want to make sure I've got the dates right before I spend anymore time crafting this narrative. pic unrelated
>>1027183 >When were video game design degrees first invented? Or at least, when did they first become popular? The DigiPen Institute of Technology, perhaps? It's located in Redmond, Washington and was established in 1988, and offered a video game design degree in 1994. Their site features a cool gallery of underrated games made by students. https://www.digipen.edu/showcase/student-games Kim Swift, who graduated from DigiPen, helped design Portal.
>>1027183 The admission of incompetent people to all courses in the 2000's and 2010's contributed to the decline in the quality of everything.
>>1027127 Post-purchase rationalization can't compare to no-purchase rationalization, which rationalizes purchasers as post-purchase rationalizing. If you're really satisfied with it, the purchase was good.
>>1000548 >osugaki i love 'em, as an aside, you know of any good shotajiji 'jins?
>>1027441 I'm not weeb enough to understand what I just read. English?
Google is going fuller jew by blocking the ability to install ad blockers. Already collecting & selling user data, but apparently everyone must also be subjected to pre-2000 pop-up ads. I switched from Waterfox to Chromium long ago since I watch VODs on Twitch, but the extension that makes Twitch less shit would stop working on Waterfox, then never update so it'd just be broken forever. My biggest issue is I want a PORTABLE install so I can run it on any computer without using any cloud bullshit to sync bookmarks & extensions. For Chromium there's a good tool for keeping it updated & portable, however jewgle forces profiles which are locked per computer so I had to have a separate profile for every PC I use the "portable" browser on with scripts to switch between them on launch. Still portable, but stupid hoops to jump through. For Waterfox there's no native portable installer of course & the 3rd party solution DOES NOT keep it up to date. Currently it's 13 versions behind! If anything breaks on those older versions of the browser you're fucked. For third party portable solutions Portapps only seems to keep Firefox portable UP TO DATE. Librewolf has a native portable version on their own site so no third party outdated bullshit, however IIRC the last time I tried Librewolf the things they strip out for security & privacy BROKE the browser so I had extensions not working at all. I'm considering trying Librewolf portable, but I'm worried I'll hit the same issues I always get with a niche web browser. Out of date version, shit breaking, extensions not working, etc. My question is what's a good PORTABLE browser to use that isn't blocking ad blockers, breaking pages & extensions, or else constantly out of date?
>>1027498 Just move the user data folder?
>>1027498 You can download VODs via YT-DL instead of having to use Twitch
>>1027504 I have a Twitch downloader that can even download & overlay the chat (haven't tried that feature though since I assume it doesn't work with most emotes). Regardless, it's time & space consuming to download entire streams so I rarely do that unless there's something I really want to watch on the go. As faggy as is sounds, I like seeing the chat & ALL the emotes when watching VODs, especially when the streamer is actually READING & interacting with chat (as you're otherwise blind to what the streamer is even seeing from chat), but most of the emotes do not appear unless you're using a browser extension to make them appear. For the Twitch chat, nothing is more annoying than seeing a string of text for an emote that doesn't appear. It annoys the fuck outta me when emotes don't work & it happened a lot on Waterfox since the extension & Waterfox itself were not being updated enough to stay fully functional. I'm giving Librewolf another try, but there's so much shit I'll need to get back. Not just addons, but settings for the addons, tons of shortcuts for searching various websites. This is why I use a portable browser in the first place since there's too much ever-changing shit to just "copy the userdata" across multiple machines. All of it on a USB stick means it'll always be up to date without having to manually copy userdata over & over across multiple machines.
>>1027498 >however IIRC the last time I tried Librewolf the things they strip out for security & privacy BROKE the browser so I had extensions not working at all. No clue what you're talking about. Extensions work fine for me in Librewolf. The browser basically just wipes cookies and history every time you close it, which can be disabled by clicking a few buttons in the settings. The only two browsers worth using are brave and librewolf. Everything else is outdated or extremely niche.

>>1027735 Sweaty gamer girl.
>>1027577 Trying librewolf. What's annoying me now is when I add a bookmark it only allows changing name & location. I can't seem to get the URL edit field to appear. Mozilla doesn't let you do that at all unless you open the whole bookmark manager. There was a way to unhide the URL edit field with userChrome.css but it does absolutely nothing now. I enabled legacy stylesheets in the about:config & userContent.css is working to restyle some addons. I tried a one-line UI userChrome.css & it worked. So it's really just the css lines I've been told restore the URL edit field when bookmarking that aren't doing anything. I even looked at source code documentation & tried other lines to hit those elements. I added things to the config to see if it would make that input field appear, nothing works. Another annoyance is the FFZ add-on that makes Twitch less shit is not an add-on in itself like on Chromium, but a user javascript that runs through another add-on like Greasemonkey, Tapermonkey, Violentmonkey or whatevermonkey ppl are using nowadays. What does that mean? Well, if I clear browser history & cookies FFZ losses ALL settings so they have to be re-imported every time.
>>1027498 doesn't ungoogle chromiun allow the ad blocker?, also is palemoon still a meme
>>1028225 Brave has uBlock built into it and is actively supporting the infrastructure for adblock extensions. While it's annoying that you need to disable telemetry and crypto jew shit during the initial setup, for most people it's basically just the new standard web browser for ease of use and website compatibility.

I saw a webm of a 3rd person shooter with a female protag here a year or two ago. You could control exactly how much you rolled, trying to find it again and simply can not. Can an anon help me out? I'll offer one of my pepes as a tribute.
>>1028668 Maybe P.N.03?
(27.02 KB 518x481 thumbsup.jpg)

>>1028674 >P.N.03 I appreciate the suggestion, while that looks good, this one was way more recent and better graphics. Will still check it out though. If you find the one I'm talking about you'll know considering you can literally stop a roll upside down and hold position.
Any hint on what to do on the Deepnest? Found a bug sleeping and a creepy statue in a room below but can anything with them, do i need to do something there on can i just move to another zone and comeback later? Don't spoil much pls, i've been doing well without a guide.

In the end, what was the point of arsenal gear?
>>1009498 MyPaint has an infinite canvas, that might be the one you mean.
>>1034307 Plot device for the simulation shit used by GW
