They no longer make movies out of games, this time you get to play the movie! You can be sure the second I find a nigger there will be a video of him getting whipped. Last thread >>1018065

>>1047580 I love that game anon, I just wish there were more movie tie in games that weren't anything related to a major franchise that has a contemporary following. But even movies nowadays are no longer campy enough to generate something fun or anything that cannot be published without generating a massive revenue.

>>1047641 The Thing Remastered just launched on Steam too. >Nightdive Studios You can just emulate the PS2 version at 3x internal resolution and FXAA and it's the same thing. Game might be shit though, I never played it.
>>1047585 >>1047545 >28mb for for 12 sec clip come on anon, use handbrake regular h264.
TAA/DLAA is a major graphics problem and there's no easy way to turn it off on modern engines Along with upscaling being MANDATORY in many cases. TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing) basically applies a smooth grease over your entire screen when moving. And modern engines like UE5 has it baked in by default, giving no options to turn it off or switch to SMAA or SSAA or MSAA. Nvidia uses DLAA, an AI infused TAA, for their upscaling, AMD uses their cocktail of TAA in FSR, and intel uses whatever. So its both devs and card manufacturers baking a cheap readymade solution that destroys quality. And even having a powerful card won't help you since it applies shit over 4k as well.
>>1047714 Carmack needs to come back and put Tim in his place. Fucking retard has had free reign for far too long and it is only going to get worse.
>>1047710 No, both you and the game are not worth my effort.
>>1047714 Is AA even necessary on a sub-25" 2160p display?
>>1047730 When is AA ever necessary?
>>1047730 AA isn't necessary on any display. AA's better than aliasing but less noticeable at higher resolutions.
>>1047730 Where are you finding sub 25inch 4k displays?
>>1047791 They're selling 65 inch 8k displays now, which is just meaningless bullshit to push consumerist trash down the throats of the goyim. No one sitting at a safe distance can see that shit at that screen size, even if there was any content whatsoever in that resolution.

(7.85 MB 640x360 Can't Touch This Battery.webm)

>>1047730 >>1047714 If you're actually running on 4k, high "bitrate", with no smoothening, its fine. But the problem is modern engines are producing 4k images, smearing TAA and inbuilt upscaling shit over it, out of the box. So you have dithering, pixeling, shadows that are weirdly low textured, and blurring over everything, even at 4k ultra. AND then they're applying SHARPENING over it. A game from 6-7 years ago has better visual clarity and lower artifacts at 4k than a modern game at 4k. Check pic related, and that's with a lower resolution webp on Crysis 3, far less smoothening over it

>>1048488 Don't despair. It's natural to receive a gift and yet not remember the giver.
>>1047920 If you're going to make your game into a blurry smeary mess of shit - why not just run it at a lower resolution to begin with and save yourself the hardware resources? Upscaling does have a role to play in extending the life of older hardware, but all it's really been useful for is allowing devs to be incompetent lazy sacks of shit and blowing smoke up the asses of console players about the capabilities of their $500 no-game boxes.

>>1048985 >He's too poor for 60 FPS
(8.79 MB 640x360 AAA 2020s The Musical.mp4)

>>1048963 >>1048985 I generally agree. Anything that kills me at 30 fps would still kill me at 60 fps. The only difference would be that my death would look smoother. Note I don't really play multiplayer games so my experience might vary from others. Of course if I did play a lot of multi then it would be my terrible internet that was getting me killed, irrespective of frame rate.
>>1047644 Apparently there was some tweeking of gameplay and graphics that actually makes it a proper remaster rather than an old game with a fresh coat of paint.

>>1049190 Any releases?
>>1047585 >Indiana Jones and the Great Kikel
>>1047589 The Tales of Arise one the other one posted though, I'll agree with. That game has way too much post-processing and the game ends up looking like a blurry mess as a result, and even looks WORSE on higher settings somehow. Whoever Bamco hired to take over the art direction after Berseria sure did a shite job converting the Tales style into UE5. Looks better in motion but that's not saying too much. It's like everything has this strange smear filter applied to it that makes everything look like ass. It's not an AA setting either, game looks like ass even with AA turned off. As for the other post. Not so much for the eight he's pointing out (only the Demon Souls remake looks like shit, but that location in particular is actually trying to be close to the original one instead of fucking off and doing its own thing like the majority of the rest of the remake. Said location is also foggy as fuck, so). Also which nigger on the backend capped the individual filesize at 32MB down from 40MB? I was able to upload this indignation vid before years ago, but now I had to go and re-render it for it to fit proper.

>>1051214 I don't think that's why people like Luigi anon
>>1051229 people no, communists yes... communists arent people anon
>>1048495 But anon how will you achieve the "cinematic look" of "smooth 24fps with motion blur" and chromatic aberration and "grime on lens is realistic" and sell your unreal engine 5 to smooth brained developers anon? Its best to sell your product with all settings turned on to impress executives and shareholders.
>>1051391 I've heard all the arguments from video nerds about why motion blur, 24 frames per second movement, movie grain and all that shit is needed to make Hollywood movies objectively better. I don't buy it. I suspect it's a matter of having grown up seeing things like that, that made them reject something new that looks different. Fact is, most of those fancy high end graphics settings boil down to, expend GPU cycles to remove details. I've always hated seeing motion blur. Same with depth of field and all the other shit. In the long run, I don't think that stuff is going to catch on. Like the lens flares and that dirty brown filter that where everywhere in early 2000 games. Same goes for Hollywood movies. Consider porn. The guys that make 3d rendered porn can make it in whatever frame rate and with as many ugly filters as they like. Yet most of the stuff made now days comes in 60 fps and 4k. 30fps is sometimes available, but I doubt it gets as many down loads... The problem for Hollywood, is the same reason so many CGI movies are so dark, rainy or in other ways hard to actually see whats on the screen, thus hiding the bad CGI. Higher FPS with more clarity in the picture would make it far easier to spot the bad CGI.
I was saving these encodes up since I find this webm's OP really terrible and I wanted to start my own with blackjack and hookers, but fuck it.
