It's drag racing once you unlock the 70% of the map outside of the starting area. I still don't know why I bother tilting my wheels.

So a racing game for someone who hates racing games? If you don't like cornering, you don't truly like racing games

>>1083930 That's the thing, you'll have at most two big turns (often 0-1 when outside the starting loop) before you're either way ahead or the opponent is because you couldn't sell your starter car yet. The cornering does matter but not when it's A corner, and so far the opponents brake and rely on their motor instead of taking the apex efficiently or drifting so paradoxically losing a boss by starting near a corner is possible. Almost every enemy seems to tune their gear ratio for acceleration so you just shift efficiently and get a 5-20 km/h top speed over most, at least in my first 5 hours playing. With that said, it is pretty nice to drive on a controller with, just that it's very tuner-oriented and feels more like an rpg, and I don't know if it's because of the massive straights or because the game drip-feeds you chumps with worse cars that you can't skip racing against for objectives.

If you want an actually challenging highway race, go get Assetto Corsa and install No Hesi mod.
