>Start up Metroid Prime on the Wii >Literally five minutes into starting the game <"Move cursor into the top zone and release (-) to enter Scan Visor" >Spend the next four goddamn minutes fiddling with the controls trying to figure out how to turn on the Scan Visor >Finally figure out that I need to HOLD (-), drag the on-screen cursor up, and THEN release (-)
>Begin playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild >Enjoying the game, but I want to move faster, run more often >Remember whistlesprint exploit I heard about once online >Hold directional stick, start mashing whistle and B buttons >It works >Hands begin to ache, have to hold controller in an awkward grip to make it work >A couple gameplay hours in I realize I can just hold the whistle button down and focus on repeatedly pushing the B button >I had watched a video about the whistlesprint before playing but I still messed it up
>>5776 You're supposed to be riding a horse for much of the travel gameplay (or warping to towers, lategame) The whistle sprint is for short bursts when you can't access your steed
Been years since, but I remember getting stuck in that one Code Lyoko tie-in video game on DS with the point-and-click game segments for the real world. I got stuck on the second chapter at the same point endlessly, not knowing how to progress so for the first month I owned the game my retarded child ass kept replaying the first two chapters, until I realized the solution, I don't remember the details but I felt like a huge moron when I figured it out and didn't get stuck anywhere else until a boss fight in the 12th or 13th chapter of the game where you had to actually time your blocks.
>>5781 True, and I did do a lot of warping with the towers. Especially since I enjoyed finding/climbing them and pushed myself to activate as many of them as I could as soon as I could. I rode my horse sometimes, but I also didn't want to put her at risk when it came to enemies, especially the guardians. Whistle sprinting away from those is quicker and less risky. I also used it to make climbing mountains easier. Dashing up slopes to save on stamina and time. Some might frown upon using it for that purpose, but I still had fun. Climbing was still exciting, and it saved me precious time I could spend doing other things in the game. And there were plenty of places where I was required to climb normally, too.
>>5781 Honestly the world in that game is actually full enough that I never wanted to use horses because it just made me miss stuff. I wanted to go on foot so I could inspect everything more closely, at least the first time I was exploring a place. Eventually you can warp around, and by the time you get that far the world doesn't feel big anymore so I didn't feel like I was moving too slowly, even without a horse. Tears of the Kingdom makes everything too trivial since you can just shoot up into the sky and skydive to wherever you want to go. Makes climbing redundant, and that was like the entire point of the previous game.

>playing undertale >kill every single encounter >"man this sans guy has no chill" >get the flowey ending >don't kill papyrus >"ok this sans guy is chill now" >get flowey at the end again >"i think you shouldn't kill people" >shocked.jpg >play through the game again don't kill anyone >get flowey again >wtf >apparently the battle with the dummy at the start ALSO counts >play through the game AGAIN >get the good ending >apparently there's a "genocide" route where you can kill everyone and get another ending >fuckno.jpg honestly on my first playthrough I thought it was going to turn into a dark/edgy story where sans or whatever comes and tries to kill you in the underworld ruins in the last segment of the game and other things crawl out of the shadows there. flowey would then help you escape and then there'd be more dark secrets or some shit

>>5796 What is the appeal of Undertale again?
>>5805 Did you not see all the porn? Hello?
>>5807 I thought that was Cave Story's, also tumblr played an important of that kind of porn, hilarious how a leftwing echochamber spawned all sorts of degenerate porn.
>>5805 The "quirky" dialogue plus its meta elements and lore hit the zeitgeist of internet addicted high-schoolers. It was crafted to be perfect crack to the homosuck and tumblr demographic. The creator had also worked on some music for homosuck, so he was able to use that fandom for wide-scale advertisement before the game released.
>>5825 Where exactly do tumblrites gather nowadays, now that it's all but dead?
>>5827 The tumblrites moved to twitter after the porn ban, then they started moving to twatter alternatives like the fediverse or bluesky after twitter got X'ed. You can also find them on leddit and several cuckchan boards
>>5825 >Homosuck Thanks for reminding of the bigger cancerous lump, I cannot grasp the fact that many lewd autists went apeshit over that mediocre fanfiction, the biggest let down has to be the fanarts that looked miles better than the lazy circletool artstyle. To think that was the beginning of praising mediocrity because of this trend of ironic humor and the slowly painful death of cringe culture. >>5827 Don't forget deviant-tards also played an important role spreading such cancer, until the founders regretted for being responsible in creating an echo-chamber for pedophiles and sold the whole domain to the jewish mafia (Israel's Wix site). Ai was the last straw causing many dykes to ragequit and delete their faggy art, truly a bigger tragedy than Abkhazia's art gallery arson.
