It was some cheap ass place but OP was hungry and got a portobello mushroom burger because he's vegan. So some dude shuffles up to him at some point but it was like weird because the dude was acting mad familiar with all the people working there and they were reciprocating so OP thought shit was cool. So anyway the dude starts chattin OP up, asking him about shit, turns out the dude has some work and OP happens to have a cert in plumbing. Long story short he gets some work he gets some pay but at the end of the day he comes home and finds his boss, a big fat dude with psoriasis, fucking his girl.
