OPERATION MAX REVIVE Rebuild the board's userbase and activity through simple, but effective methods 1. Post across the entire board Activity creates activity. Use threads you like, make new ones if topics don't exist. Easy examples are Drawthreads and Friday Night threads, go request or draw something right now. 2. Recruit and recover lost or potential anons Use this site's OC and features to entice anons if necessary when recruiting, just inform that we are alive. Here's some sites and links with at least some confirmed anons that can be recruited again: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chotwheels https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SSAVCH https://steamcommunity.com/groups/video_games https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chmohun https://steamcommunity.com/groups/8chan_monster https://steamcommunity.com/groups/GoodLuckEbolaChan https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8ch.net https://steamcommunity.com/search/groups/#text=8chan Other sites that might yield fruitful results and have anons (art sites use an account so you can see 18+ content): https://www.deviantart.com/search?q=Vivian+James https://www.newgrounds.com/search/summary?suitabilities=etm&terms=Vivian%20James https://twitter.com/search?q=Vivian%20James&src=typed_query&f=image https://rpgcodex.net/ https://old.reddit.com/r/KotakuInAction/ Somewhere on Telegram Just searching up GG or 8chan-related terms on certain places/sites can get you possible results. 3. Make your own OC/Memes/Content Doesn't matter what it is even if its just simple edits or full-on drawings or webms, just make it and have fun. Ask in thread for software recs if necessary. 4. Encourage or create fun events, activities, projects, etc. Think things like 8chanmania, weekly streams, re-translation projects, demo days, or zzz's gaming magazine for example. If you want to do something, try making or reviving it, it can't hurt and these things are great for the board. 5. Use other boards All it takes for a board to grow is at least 2 dedicated anons using it. Don't be afraid to make a post, check places periodically, shill, or what have you. Don't force discussions to boards, just encourage the usage of them. 2. OPERATION TRAJAN: Collect and catalog all of the various localization and censorship accounts of past video games into a single repository from these sources: romhacking.net The_Cutting_Room_Floor/tcrf.net Segaretro.org https://redirect.invidious.io/channel/UCFItIX8SIs4zqhJCHpbeV1A Examples: http://archive.vn/XQOHW Sony's policies forces censorship; JP devs allegedly have to go through ENG approval process: https://archive.fo/awzFF - Japanese blog post about it: https://archive.fo/bF9bE Sony Japan President Says PS4 Censorship Policy Is To Match Global Standards And Protect Kids: https://archive.fo/U3GLa - Confirms censorship was deliberate: https://archive.fo/XgAgP - No rules for censorship policies, games judged case-by-case: https://archive.fo/37DhK - Marvelous partner starts petition against policy: https://archive.fo/rxQtf https://archive.fo/84UHo • Twitterfags: Tweet with Sony's stock code $SNE so that investors see your tweets and know you're pissed. • Consider spreading OP Timber materials to targets as well: http://archive.vn/URjtu ONGOING TASKS: A. Reposting from the very end of last thread. Chris Avellone has been sounding off on the Microsoft anti-white-hiring Avowed situation. >>409800 Sounds like fun, I hope you get to bake all the deserts you are planning. I haven't had fried apple pies in a while, those are delicious. >>409803 It certainly has a lot more ingredients than the ones I've made. The combination of cardamom, orange, and pumpkin sounds incredible, so it's likely worth the bit of extra work. >>409807 That stuff on top must be some kind of mac and cheese, but what in the world is on the bottom? A hamburger from a tv dinner? >>409801 >Dunno if I agree with his "it shouldn't cost you a cent to hire lawyers" take though considering they aren't on your side any more than Microshit is and can make you pay to your abusers by being incompetent and playing games with otherwise slam-dunk cases (IE Ty Beard & Vic Mignogna). His view on lawyers is a bit naieve. Someone replied to his tweet saying something similar, that these kinds of discrimination cases aren't usually slam-dunk cases where you never spend a dime and end up with a big hunk of cash as a settlement. Chris kind of backpedaled, and instead said that a lawyer would do it for a commission. A bit different than not costing a cent. In response to the other person's statement about places like California being particularly negligent of fair treatment for these discrimination cases, he said <And in California, all you have to do is say, "you know that Activision lawsuit? " possibly followed by "do you think Microsoft has a lot of money?" and lawyers perk right up. https://archive.md/oMTlj https://archive.md/IkuXe It's refreshing to see someone approach this whole situation more calmly, but his argument is slipping a bit as he continues to respond to other people.
>>409808 It took 30 seconds just to solve that slow damned captcha. Then it took even longer to read that article which has a headline that places a giant asterisk on the claim "plants feel pain" by adding the word "suggests" to it. Reading the article, which takes a couple minutes, confirms that it does not prove jack shit that plants are conscious thinking beings in the way animals, and further, humans are. Instead, they have simple automatic responses to stimuli no different from most insects, which we also generally consider little more than organic automatons despite them having actual brains. And this isn't news on this front either because everyone already knows Venus flytraps exhibit similar much more observable automatic stimuli responses, DISPSHIT. This is bait, I took it, and you wasted my time. FUCK YOU RETARD.

>>409799 Popcorn is actually pretty accurate to the original Thanksgiving dinner, not to mention corn (syrup). Not that I'm complaining about 30 pounds of meat for less than a dollar per pound. Also, might be more suited for the meta thread as I scarf down another helping of protein, but what do we do about bumpshilling? Technically not against board rules, but as the cuckchanners get settled in I'd rather they drop the superfluous habits that are designed for one environment rather than this site. (Also why I never bought into the "PPH go up" argument, because cuckchan's PPH was primarily based on bumpshilling rather than posts of actual substance.)

>>409829 I know of a few people who don't like pumpkin but I don't get it. Have you tried different kinds of pumpkins? Most of the commercial canned pumpkin is made from a related variety to butternut squash if not from actual butternut squash. I once had a pumpkin that tasted exactly like cantaloupe. So there's a huge variety in flavor. >>409830 I don't have the exact recipe on hand but it's pretty simple. You make filling from cooked apples with some sugar and cinnamon and what ever other spices you like. It's basically the same recipe for the filling in an apple stack cake if you know what that is. We always used dried apples to start with but you can start directly from fresh apples. The other part is is the dough, which is more or less a homemade biscuit dough. Then you just pat out large 5-6-7 inch rounds out of the dough and spoon the filling into the middle and then fold it over like a little calzone. Then you fry it in a skillet with what ever kind of oil you want to use. We just always used crisco or some other kind of lard or tallow. Anything that can take the heat and not breakdown. That's basically it. They're really good.

Since this thread is pretty dead at the moment I'm going to post an engagement bait story to get the blood flowing for when posters recover from their turkey comas. Arcane fans get hit by their own boomerang after Chinese version of Season 2 finale shown to excise Cait and Vi carpet munching Hey, they wanted censorship galore. This is what they deserve. also I'm going to post jpegli-compressed versions of images in this thread I think are too large, 9.5 MB to 1.6 MB or 1/6th the bandwidth, I'm just saying any webmaster would love to see a slashed bill...
>>409815 No, it isn't. You are wrong and insane, being a part of a cult of ideologues who are always wrong about everything, pretending to do good just to feel good about themselves, to not realize that they/you are losers.
>>409839 Doubt they'll ruminate on it much. Disney and the rest like to minimize the nigs and gay stuff in their chink/mudslime airings of Star Wars and such, and the leftists tend to forget about it since their worldview begins and ends with what's in the west.
>>409821 Hope you have a pleasant belated Thanksgiving once next week rolls around. >>409826 >Popcorn is actually pretty accurate to the original Thanksgiving dinner There actually isn't any contemporary evidence that proves the pilgrims at that first Thanksgiving ate popcorn. They probably ate something that contained corn, since they grew it. But they weren't exposed to the tradition of popping corn yet. Some indian tribes in the Americas had been popping corn for a long time, though. Even the Aztecs down in Mexico made popped corn when they still existed. It didn't become popular with Americans until the 19th century. They would grind it up and eat it with milk and sugar, usually for a breakfast meal. Then popcorn balls made popcorn in general skyrocket in popularity and it quickly became an American staple snack. >>409839 It's been said before, but for all their talk about their message, they don't seem too motivated to really advocate for it when faced with actual opposition from China and the Middle East. Then again, it makes sense, because profits are not the goal of these extremists; it's to get their propaganda pushed onto as many people as they can. To them, China might be a negligible loss, since they still got to promote the uncensored version over the entire USA (and Europe too presumably).
(215.27 KB 650x902 Eat your hamburgers.png)

>>409839 This won't exactly lead to much. Yes, the salt from the hypocrites who excuse censorship will be fun and all, but this is censorship for a non-western region while the original uncensored version is still available here. Any rage from this will be very short-lived.

>>409841 You'd be surprised. Arcane fans are Undertale-level unhinged (figures because they're dumblrites) and the show has already been ruffling the fans' feathers with how it ended and there's going to be no more. <(((Disney))) Disney's ironically been called out for trying to play both sides, not to mention a lot of companies who are still clinging to the ESG scam deliberately closing their branches in Islamic countries because people noseticed the rainbow washing stopped there. Like yes, leftists are morally bankrupt, but when they get invested in fictional lesbians macking on each other and sucking face (and of course they have to be visually repugnant to qualify) they're going to be sensitive to "gay erasure." This is a political faction that thought they could sanitize the mudslimes after all.
>>409842 >Then again, it makes sense, because profits are not the goal of these extremists; it's to get their propaganda pushed onto as many people as they can. To them, China might be a negligible loss, since they still got to promote the uncensored version over the entire USA (and Europe too presumably). As much as I agree that the moral advocates suddenly stop talking the moment they face opposition from a government, I believe that the reason is actually the opposite. Profit is still a main goal, and if they believe that China is not a market they can afford to drop, they will bow down, as they just did with Arcane, and as they usually do when facing China. If their objective was purely ideological, they would either present the whole package, Winnie be damned, or drop China and the Middle East entirely, but they don't have the balls (heh) to choose such a nuclear option.
>>409845 >>409844 >Profit is still a main goal, and if they believe that China is not a market they can afford to drop, they will bow down, as they just did with Arcane, and as they usually do when facing China. >>409845 Outright closing burns bridges and leaves open space for potential alternatives to grow. Subversion is a slow process of boiling the frog, with different cultures being at different stages this means adjustment of propaganda for each region. They tone it down for chinks and mudslimes because those aren't pozzed enough for full tranny mode. Money doesn't really matter for companies financed through government handouts or hedge funds.
>these fuckers and buffoons now know about arcane, despite not Even caring about league and such Well, shit, i can't wait for all the headcanon and schizo-tier ramblings
>>409848 >these fuckers and buffoons now know about Arcane >now It's the only thing regarding League of Legends that's pierced normalfag mainstream consciousness in ages. Riot even decided around last year that they were gonna reboot the game's lore (again) specifically to make Arcane canon after insisting it wasn't to the point I heard they added a character from it as a new playable champ recently. God I miss when Summoners still existed and the League of Legends was an actual thing in-universe. Everything after they canceled the Journal of Justice has been a mess. I dropped out after they reworked Trundle into a generic troll-horde king and Gangplank to be some edgy motherfucker
So, what's new lately? The last thing I've heard is something called Avowed crashing with no survivors. I'm actually waiting for Paralives because it's been a while since I had some The Sims fun.

>>409850 Here, have an autism post. Considering that the journey towards progress is now yielding diminishing returns, and the rate of discovering new things and concepts has pretty much plateaued all things considered, at what point will humanity at large realize this and revert back to not expecting "new things"? For the past 150 years or so, humanity hasn't witnessed a society that hasn't seen monumental technological progress. The living memory of one would have died out by the early to mid 20th century, and latest by the turn of the millenium. Which means that aside from isolated and remote communities, the populace would expect new movies, new songs, new happenings all the time and all of this was in part fuelled by the rapidly changing society caused by the rapid breakthroughs being made in science and technology. Starting from the telegram, to computers, to phones, to the internet, to smartphones. All of these influenced societies in massive ways. The last few technological breakthroughs I can see happening in the near future are AGI, or at least something close to it, and if the governments allow it, mass gene editing on humans and other reasearch, but what after that? When does society "stabilize" itself and pass down knowledge and culture from generation to generation, like poetry, fables, stories and heirlooms as it was done in previous societies. People still do pass down stories and heirloom in the present day (which is disappearing with the ongoing decay of the family unit) but each new generation seems to invent itself an entire pantheon of new culture that is completely incomprehensible to the one before it. This oddly seems to be dying down with the passing on of culture between millenials and zoomers, and between zoomers and gen alpha, and I believe the reason for this is the slow-down or plateauing of progress and technology.
>>409848 >despite not Even caring about league and such I knew about it from /co/, but let's keep it that way. Because while I like Yordles and can enjoy secondary content surrounding the game: FUCK LEAGUE
>>409855 I believe we are in another "dark age" in the sense that in the next few hundred years or even a thousand years nothing will change, or at least not significally. In the 80s/90s everyone thought they would get flying cars by now because of how fast technology progressed, and we can't even get a cure of old age, diabetes or cancer even after having so many advantages. I guess is time for some stagnation.
>>409853 Yeah he did that too, and other shit too but fucking retards like grummz didn't archive so we only have screenshots >>409857 I think there is good chances of a massive loss of knowledge/wisdom and societal collapse worldwide in the next 100-200 years and good chances of extinction in the longer term, something like the great filter or something

>>409849 >spoiler Are you literally me? I also stopped caring about LoL lore after what they did to trundle.
>>409855 Even if a period of stagnation is accepted as inevitable, there's this baseless optimism that in the long term the universe will be mastered through technology eventually. It feels like practically no one wants to consider the possibility that the laws of the universe, even if fully understood, may only allow for a certain maximum level of technological advancement, because it's pessimistic. There's a fair chance in my eyes that humanity will never get off this rock any farther than to the next nearest rock, and extinction is guaranteed with the expansion of the sun.

It's kind of scary since photons experience no time because all their movement is through 3d space and 0 m/s through time. Their entire existence happens all at once from a photon's perspective.
>>409863 This point of view assume there is such things as "universal laws" that don't change through the cosmos, is so vast it's silly to even bother with it. What is more pessimistic is to believe that maybe humans don't have the potential to truly go to the stars to begin with,.

>>409870 I like Liu Cixin's idea of galactic humans and solar humans in the three body problem books, the galactic humans did what they had to do to not die in deep space and abandoned earth during the story's crisis after being considered criminals, while the solar humans retained human dignity but all died under egalitarianism. It's just fiction but I do think current human culture can't survive the second space age, you'll either have 40k chaplains ready to kill anyone disgruntled in a military fashion or space hobos for contract, where every vehicle and shelter is yours alone. If there is some kind of space colony with factory and industry to spare pollution, there will be a revolt for the same reasons as the american revolutionary war, a few settlers not wanting to toil for others or just for blackmail.

Okay, cuckchan is dead on my end (posts don't come through), just wanted to say that new stalker sucks. But anyway, back to games i enjoy instead. I know you can kinda reduce amount of wait by saving the cookies and shit, but i am ain't doing that shit, too disciplined.
>>409870 I think the point is that the boundless optimism for progress is going to get everyone killed in the long run. You can already see this with people trying to "cure" depression with drugs and apparently now with brainwaves too instead of addressing the massive society-wide dysfunction the entire populace is going through. Same with the birthrate problem. They turn a complete blind eye to it instead of facing reality and devising the set of social or economic customs that you actually need to prevent people from going insane and killing themselves in elaborate ways.

>>409862 I know people like to say the old lore was cheesy, but fuck, at least the old lore had fun touches like framing a patch where Gangplank's morale buff doesn't have to kill an ally minion anymore with a vignette of Ms. Fortune taking him aside for a talk that he actually takes to heart. It felt like, goofy or not, they sorta cared. The excuse for the reboot that "Summoners/The League limited the stories we can tell", only to spend the better half of the decade phoning it in with 3 sentence long "new lores" and disconnected events that amounted to little more than "we're lumping [x/y/z] into this region" and making the setting from a hodgepod of archetypes to just a generic fantasy sludge without even the League backdrop to make things a little interesting. Like, Jax's fighting with a lamppost was him taking the piss out of unfair regulations trying to nerf specifically him. Now it's something about it containing the souls of his people or some bullshit. Maokai was just a tree accidentally brought to life by all the magic fighting and got involved in the League to look into ways to get rid of his sentience and go back to being a normal tree. Now he's some dime-a-dozen nature guardian.
>>409876 I know that feeling but /vg/ was kinda... eh, fuck it. What's new on other imageboards? Webring? Without expecting a reply, i've got places to go.

>>409880 If extraterrestrials are intelligent enough for long range space travel they'll probably be spending all their time trying to escape the heat death of the universe. If they succeed then they just won't be around.
>>409881 I don't think heat death will be a thing at all, even if it happens i don't think it will be how we imagine it would happen and the consequences would also be different
>>409870 >What is more pessimistic is to believe that maybe humans don't have the potential to truly go to the stars to begin with. I remember a year back in a gamergate thread that there was a shortage of some mineral or another needed for space travel within like the next few centuries that brought up the sobering idea of being permanently stuck on earth and colonization becoming outright impossible thanks to jews. The reality is that we have more than enough material on this planet than we know what to do with to the point literally pissing half of it away still won't run us dry. The problem is that Progressives have deemed the exploration and extraction of those materials as being the "Greatest evil" one can do because it somehow deprives people thousands of miles away of their own stockpile. And even assuming that the news is legit and we are running out of that specific mineral, what's stopping people from finding another mineral or process that works out just as well if not better?

>>409875 >I think the point is that the boundless optimism for progress is going to get everyone killed in the long run. Your examples offer some more social problems, mostly because people are actually too short sighted to manifest the decisions that would lead to the optimistic results. Global warming is yet another example where we are kind of bumbling along hoping for it to be another person's problem until it eventually gets to be too late, or we figure out the technology to fix shit up. But Absolutely nothing indicates that we're stagnating technologically at all, every field is still blooming at all times and with increasing speeds. I personally doubt that we'll explore the stars in a reasonable single human's lifespan, but dominating literally everything else that we can directly interact with on Earth still leads to pretty insane and utopic shit so long as we figure out the rules we don't know yet. Meaning, I feel pretty confident in the current E=MC² interpretation of energy required to traverse long distances, but complete genetic and genome manipulation? Absurd results from material sciences? Computational Power that even to us now is unimaginable? There's way too much shit around us that we don't even know how or why it works yet, and things can go pretty crazy without even leaving the Earth itself, it doesn't seem far fetched to stay optimistic for progress. I'd argue it's more likely we all just die out because as a whole people are just too fucking stupid, and it's far too likely that some idiot will act in a really stupid way and nuke what he shouldn't. Or we severely misalign some random AI system that is super efficient and competent (competent does not imply cognizant or self aware. Chess AI is super competent) on a field we shouldn't be touching without fully understanding and end up killing ourselves, that kind of shit.
>>409878 >Jax's fighting with a lamppost was him taking the piss out of unfair regulations trying to nerf specifically him. Now it's something about it containing the souls of his people or some bullshit. Lmao what the fuck And that's not Even counting the fact that he's basically discount Nick Fury now
>>409885 > What's wrong with that? Believing the universe to be infinite, that truely opens up the ability for every man to own his own planet. Nothing, i'm talking more about being able to sustain humanity as a whole in a space era without losing contact with most worlds, it's fine if a few are "forgotten" though
>>1044692 But that's what i'm saying, humanity as a whole could theorically still be in contact with each other through cosmos but the timeframes of contact would be vastly differ, but as we are we would just collapse and each world would become it's own thing instead of preserving society for long terms
>>1044696 Something i'd like to do if i had to money is to preserve as much content and stuff, as i can, i already do it with the little i have, it's not for a big cause but i really really dislike the idea of things i like being destroyed
>>1044692 >How about the fact that every single technology in use today was either theorized, designed, prototyped, or implemented no later than 1970? Unironically, you do not know how little you don't actually know. You're at the peak of the dunning kruger where you've just begun to figure out how things work, but you haven't fully grasped how advanced shit gets. I can fully and safely guarantee there is a shit ton of technology and improvements that came by as our computational power increased that simply wasn't theorized about in the 70s beyond "hey, wouldn't it be cool if machines, kind of, did our things?". And that's just from my POV as a barely graduate in comp sci, not even getting into processes that are used in the material sciences that come straight out of science fiction. Just look at any reasonably advanced documentary on UV lithography used to create microchips and go on and tell me that shit was "theorized in the 70s". There's way too much technology stacked on top of technology that allowed us to reach this much sophistication, you are literally just too stupid to see.
>>409888 >Global warming is yet another example where we are kind of bumbling along hoping for it to be another person's problem until it eventually gets to be too late, or we figure out the technology to fix shit up. Except global warming IS NOT OUR FUCKING PROBLEM!!! Not because humans cannot do anything to fuck up our environments, but because of the fact that the leading causes behind "global warming" is caused by powers beyond human control such as the natural makeup of our planet being a thin slab of rock sliding across a giant magma ocean and the fucking Sun constantly pelting out planet with radiation. That's not to mention that, based upon all descriptions I've ever seen of "global warming" since grade school, their "doomsday" scenario is reverting back to the time of the Jurassic period, where the planet was one big amazonian rainforest. Yes, there was also something about all the water drying up, but can someone explain how the fucking works in an environment that traps heat and CO2? >and it's far too likely that some idiot will act in a really stupid way and nuke what he shouldn't Nukes are a scam. >Or we severely misalign some random AI system that is super efficient and competent Also never going to happen. >>1044692 >How about the fact that every single technology in use today was either theorized, designed, prototyped, or implemented no later than 1970? That's because of the Progressives who want to enforce their global equity religion. So we cannot be allowed to progress without that progress having first come from the third world. >>1044696 >we need a moon or KBO somewhere that stores the informational data of humanity for safe keeping Why? Assuming that we are in a future scenario, you can very easily backup the entirety of human knowledge on a flash drive the size of your pinky. You don't need some grand database. And even if you do need "something", they've been selling encyclopedias on singular CDs since the 90's because, surprisingly, information doesn't take up that much space.
What are Anon's insights on the Syrian situation? According to plebbit it's all ogre for the Reg*me, teh moderate jihadist rebels have entered western Aleppo and are in the process of clearing out evil Russian-backed Iranian Hezbollah terroristes, HTS also made a propaganda video where they promised not to harm civilians unlike the evil child-killing Assad-aligned Russian air force, with the loss of the 1070 housing projects a total Assad collapse in Aleppo is inevitable t. totally not funded by Mossad I personally am fairly impressed by the Rebels' rapid advance, but unless Turkey or USrael intervene with direct air support or "volunteers" the rebels will eventually get bogged down and bombed to shit by Putin, maybe even with those new MRBMs. Wonder what the SDF=YPG=PKK response will be should the Rebels somehow reach the small Kurdish enclave in the northern part of the city.
>>409894 Biggest issue with Global warming is the destruction of the food chain, because there's a lot of organisms that are part of the lower trophic levels that are very sensitive to changes in the environment, not that the world will turn into this huge amazonian forest or whatever. It likely has impacts we can't fully predict because it's a global scale event with pretty much unimaginable entropy due to the small fact that at such a huge scale WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW SHIT INTERACTS, so our simulations are worth JACK SHIT. And it's not that we wouldn't survive global warming, that's actually a minor concern compared to nukes + misaligned AIs. >nukes are a scam and AI will never be misaligned Again, another retard. But just to be clear, even a self-replicating agent that the only reasonable effect it has is "fuck the internet is down forever" would still have huge impacts in our society, maybe not a "we die forever" or anything like that, but I wouldn't remove the chance that lazy and dumb military generals vote in favor of letting AI control our nukes and the AI hallucinates some bullshit feed and sneezes half of europe away.

If something is happening on a "global scale", it sounds like a problem that impossible for humanity solve and is out of our hands. >>1044705 I mean, in the same way complex numbers were theorized around 300 earlier than it was finally defined for there be an use for them, the same can be argued for pretty much a lot of ideas that came up prior to the 70s you focus so much on, you are vastly minimizing how much shit had to advance in the incremental improvements you minimize. Not everything has to be a huge paradigm shift, and it's still clear ridiculously clear that literally everything all the time is improving a shit ton. And yet still, it's always the paradigm shift that is rare, it usually takes around a 100 years for paradigm shifts to come by, it's understandable to notice that it has been a while since we had a large one, and of course there's a ton of theoretical advancements waiting to be realized when they do happen, because when the paradigm is new, a lot of the new obvious things (that came with the new paradigm) is summarily cut out of the way, so only the hard stuff remains to be figured out. >>409901 Your post is too retarded for me to waste any more time with you, but >Artificial intelligence doesn't have a consciousness You fundamentally do not know what misaligned means and the implications if you think I'm talking about consciousness.

>>409903 To give a different example, imagine that in a thousand years, we somehow don't end up with a nuclear armageddon, instead continue to build technology to such an extent that we successfully construct a Dyson Sphere, only for someone to come and say "lmao there haven't been any technological achievements in the past millennia, since someone in in the late 20th century had already theorized the Dyson Sphere." even though to construct such a thing, would require revolutionizing extraction and production of materials to such an extent, that a thousand years might be way too optimistic.
>>409902 >You fundamentally do not know what misaligned means and the implications if you think I'm talking about consciousness. And you don't understand that AI has actually been controlling our world for the past CENTURY. None of this shit is new. >>409903 >they thinking that something is theoretically possible and then just coming up and saying "oh look it was easy they thought it up before the 70s lmao" is retarded. No, it's not. The only difference between them and us is the tools we have access to. Today, someone can go to the store using their car, buy a roll of aluminum foil that was made in a factory, and make themselves a knife within the day using the other tools they already have in their own kitchen. Meanwhile 2-4 millennia ago, if you wanted to make a knife, you had to first find a suppler of the ore you wanted, take that ore to a smithy if you didn't already have your own shop that was your home, and spend an exhausting week around dangerous furnaces melting the ore into a frame and hammering it out.

>>409928 >Tools and knowledge are built on tools and knowledge, that's how technology progresses. No, it doesn't. All the Ancient Civilizations didn't need hundred million dollar telescopes and satellites to calculate the the exact calendar of the Earth, how it rotates, that the planet spins on an tilted axis that causes the day-night cycles and the seasons, it's position in the solar system in relation to the sun and the other planets, etc.. You entire argument can be disputed by the very fact that handing the keys of the Hubble Telescope to a retard doesn't make him "smarter" than the people that came before. He just has better tools that make his errors less noticeable, which in some ways actually shows that the people who came before were smarter than we are today because they had to make do with lesser tools and understand the limitations of those tools. Contrast that to today's scientists who just apply a specific lens filter to their observational image of the stars, point to a spec on their filtered image, and use that to declare it as "proof" that humanity is an alien species that doesn't originate on this planet.

Everyone is so unoriginal nowadays, they just know how to do the inevitable small adjustments in technology that everyone can do easily instead of creating something truly new, dang. Point being, the transformer is to neural networks what a cartridge or magazine was to firearms in terms of performance gains and it came out in 2017 (with some inspiration from a 2014 implementation), which we would never have been able to thoroughly abuse without all of the data we have nowadays as well. >>409938 >Can you post about videogames? Absolutely. Quote every other user in this thread who is not talking about video games and ask the same of them. Otherwise I can't take you seriously. I don't want to care about any of this shit. I just want a country and a culture that doesn't want to exterminate me and my people from the face of the Earth and erase everything we've ever created. But I don't have that. So I have to defend myself against psychotic subhumans who want to destroy me and mine. I can't 'just' "play video games" and ignore that, particularly when that is part of all video games now. So yeah, I'll talk about "not" video game stuff in the service of reclaiming video games from this madness. For example: Riot will start banning users for what they say outside of their games. https://archive.ph/LDiIt >Players can be penalized for bad behavior on streams across Riot’s titles. >The new “Off-Platform conduct” rule gives Riot Games the right to issue game penalties when hateful content is brought to their attention. The new clause says Riot Games won’t proactively search for social media for violations. Instead, players can report cases about an offending player’s conduct on a livestream in which one of its games serves as “the background of the content produced.” If Riot determines that the player violated its TOS, Riot could issue a penalty “as if that behavior occurred in-game,” according to the TOS. >The new TOS rules also focus on “stream sniping” in which streamers and players hijack or interrupt another stream’s online sessions. The penalty system for these infractions are still in the “early testing phases” using a limited number of English-speaking Valorant creators. >Repeat offenders of these and other infractrations could result in complete bans from all Riot Games accounts. The new TOS states that Riot can issue multiple penalties and bans for streamers and players who commit “a seriously egregious violation” or “problematic behavior.” See. This is what we're reduced to talking about, since we're not allowed to even play the games for which we've fucking paid. >>409940 This is just proof you're incapable of arguing in good faith. If you weren't trolling, you'd at least pretend to be talking about something relevant. But you went and looked (rather, you didn't) at modern-ish firearms and found that even things like caseless ammunition were developed first in the 1850s and came to its technological peak the 1940s. That hurt your feelings (because it disproved your meaningless, emotional claims and destroyed your worldview), so you didn't mention it. Instead you strawmanned something from centuries ago and lied about what I said because you can't respond to what I ACTUALLY said. If you weren't being disingenuous, you might have tried to talk about something like how NVGs and TVGs have come down in price and complexity recently, but even then that's just refinement of technology that existed before 1970 but is simply now being built out at scale. You seem to think I take issue with this (read: you invented bullshit no one said). I don't. Making technology cheaper and more widely available is great. Improving on old designs is great. There's nothing wrong with that. Literally all I am saying is that everything we use today comes from designs dating no newer than ~1970. This is a problem. It has to be addressed. There are newer designs across all fields of technology and science that would massively improve life for regular people. They, for some reason, just don't get buildout. Why? I don't know. I'd like to know. Telling people about this problem is just about the only way to get it addressed. But you want it covered up, apparently.
>>409941 >Absolutely. Quote every other user in this thread who is not talking about video games and ask the same of them. They're not throwing stones in glass houses. You are. I cannot take you seriously if you didn't see this response coming.

>>409941 I mean, you consider it trolling, I know that a lot of our advancements are materializing from thoughts and prototypes from the 70s, but to cut off mysteriously in the 70s as if the originality died out when there is a shit ton of optimizations happening all around you in literally all fields (which you for some reason refuse to concede, as my first examples of improvements were mostly in the field of practical and applied sciences like material technologies, techniques, applied algorithms, etcs), you prance around and pretend to be the winner. If the prototypes and ideas of the 70s worked in the 70s, maybe they would have been fucking used in the 70s as well. And again, you just don't know what you are talking about in general. You think you do, but you don't, because having general applied knowledge of what was invented and new up to the 70s isn't that incredible, pretty much all advanced fields that are at the cutting-edge of technologies have insane inventions that built up on everything we know to get to that point, going "oh wow they're using lasers to engrave chips, riveting stuff, we were doing that in the 60s lmao, so original" when we have fucking SIXTY YEARS of technological progress in the field to get microchips that might cause WARS for is hilariously naive. >But you want it covered up, apparently. >Nukes aren't real Of course nukes aren't real, I never seen one in real life nor get hit by one. :^)
I was once vaporized in a nuclear blast. ... I got better.
>>409941 Increasing technological sophistication also comes with an increase in complexity. No matter which field, it gets harder and harder to understand the deeper you get and that means fewer people are capable of it. The bar of minimal intelligence required to invent something truly new keeps rising. Adding to that the complexity of manufacturing and legal compliance grow as well, making the cost of innovation skyrocket. There is also the factor of demand and market stability, some sectors are happy with what they already have and see no need to invest in R&D hoping for a breakthrough. IIRC commercial planes have remained largely unchanged since the sixties for that reason. I think real innovation still happens, but it has always been very rare. >>409943 >report that fag for posting his opinion >>>/reddit/

>>409957 You're sure it's not some time traveler playing God by suppressing certain inventions to see how history plays out differently?
>>409953 Easy access to knowledge, basic education for everyone and a culture that doesn't cut your head off for expressing a novel idea are also relatively new things. These social developments combined into a strong push in technological progress, but it runs into diminishing returns once the low-hanging fruit is picked. That's what you're seeing: first a cultural shift from few people being literate at all and most of those few only knowing their jesus amen / allahu akbar into widespread education, then industrial revolution and massive advances in 20th century, then a slow down again as shit got stupidly hard and expensive.
>>409954 Experimentation is also important. The guy who made blue LEDs did it with both a material and a method that people dismissed while making red and yellow LEDs. We'd probably still be using LCD screens on phones without blue LEDs.

>>409932 >The first claim and you're already wrong https://archive.ph/i3Z0R <The Antikythera Mechanism is the oldest existing complex geared device, an amazing geared analogue computer. It was built approximately 2150 years ago and was used to calculate astronomical phenomena. <The device was operated manually by a user, to set a date on a dial and notice the astronomical phenomena that occur on that day. Respectively, by choosing an astronomical phenomenon he can observe at which date it will happen. All necessary calculations were made using a set of gears (at least 39). <The Mechanism was used to calculate the diurnal and annual motion of the Sun, the Moon and probably the planets among the stars. It calculated the position of the Sun and the Moon in the Sky and the phases of the Moon for every day of the year and predicted eclipses of the Sun and the Moon. <It implemented the astronomical knowledge of ancient Greeks about the motion of these heavenly bodies with astonishing accuracy, considering the anomalous motion of the Moon around the Earth, using a system of eccentric gears. https://archive.ph/X8cde <The Maya were excellent astronomers — they erected entire buildings to serve as observatories and created detailed tables cataloging the movements of the moon, Mars and other planets. Maya astronomical calculations even accurately dated a 1991 solar eclipse. Observations like these formed the basis for their calendar; the celestial clock provided a reasonably accurate means of measuring the passage of time. >>409940 >Powder-based firearms were thought up and invented more than 700 years ago, which is before the 1970s, and as you know, guns have had literally no technological improvements neither in production, performance nor price ever since then Wasn't the "biggest" evolution between going from the musket to the modern firearm was compacting the gunpowder and explosion into the bullets themselves and discovering that bullets actually travel further if they spin? >>409941 >Riot will start banning users for what they say outside of their games I thought this was a policy already in place for the past several years. <You seem to think I take issue with this Anon, a lot of today's people want to feel "special" and "smart" because, "Look at how stupid they were decades ago believing in things like magic." Never mind that every single ancient society was rather intelligent, the Greeks for their mathematics, the Egyptians for their medical techniques, the Mayans for their calendars, the Indians for their fabrics, etc.. <Literally all I am saying is that everything we use today comes from designs dating no newer than ~1970. This is a problem. It has to be addressed. There are newer designs across all fields of technology and science that would massively improve life for regular people. They, for some reason, just don't get buildout. Why? I don't know. I'd like to know. It's because of Marxists, from the Frankfurt school to the U.N. and the WEF. They believe that they know the "true" evolution man is suppose to undergo, so they constantly push through efforts in order to stifle innovation because it's not "innovation" that was done as a result of Socialist thinking. It's kind of like how the E.U. was declaring a couple years back that "inventors" had discovered this "brand new" way to make electricity. You want to know what it was: A fucking waterwheel. Yes, the same invention that was created two thousand years ago, but why it was so special was that invention was made by people who had the "proper" frame of mind, as in the people heading the project were Socialists. This is the reason why we were largely prevented from building more advanced rockets despite landing on the moon over 65 years ago, or actually creating nuclear reactors small enough to power a car. Because all those discoveries were made in the name of "Capitalism", and Capitalism is "bad", so we need to destroy all Capitalist improvement and in order to replace it with discoveries that were achieved through Socialism. >>409943 >Maybe if you stupid fags report instead of responding to that mouthbreather Do you actually have an argument, or are you just going to complain about people saying stuff you don't like? >>409949 >If the prototypes and ideas of the 70s worked in the 70s, maybe they would have been fucking used in the 70s as well. A lot of them were, until we had events like the manufactured oil crisis, where countries were "Required" to shrink their economies and living standards due to some conflict in the Middle East (Despite the fact that we could have drilled the oil from home), not mention the rise of environmental agencies declaring that we had to accept a lower standard of living in order to prevent "Global COOLing" (Because everyone 50 years ago believed that we'd be living in a second Ice Age by the 21st century). >Like the retard that thinks nuke aren't real Where has anyone said or even implied that? Or is this your attempt to make a strawman out of something no one said, so that you can then declare it as part of your "boogieman" lore? >>409955 That could be attributed to the government and market. Biggest example of this is how Europeans used to be far behind the Chinese in terms of technological development, then somehow leapfrogged them by the time you get to the 1500's and controlling the country by the 1800's. And this isn't because the Chinese were backwards. Everything that the Europeans were using either came from or was also invented by the Chinese (Often much earlier). However Europe's market economy during the Renaissance contrasted against China's feudal economy could be attributed to causing their downfall because you are required to more quickly adapt in a free market as opposed to a rigid monarchical rule. >>409959 >first a cultural shift from few people being literate at all and most of those few only knowing their jesus amen The Church were the one's who first taught the general public how to read, you idiot. >>409960 >We'd probably still be using LCD screens on phones without blue LEDs. It's strange. >get microchips that might cause WARS Huh? >is hilariously naive. Keep posting examples and I'll keep proving them wrong, then. >>409952 You've just reminded me of an old sci-fi story about that once. Set in the near-ish future (from today, even), two scientists were complaining about technological stagnation because asymptotically small advancements required such time and capital that only governments could afford to fund them, but governments then couldn't release them because (the cold war was still happening in the narrative) other governments would be able to steal them. >>409953 If we consider the archaeological timeframe from when they say that humans became "physically modern" to today, even starting with the agricultural revolution ~15,000 years ago the rise in technological development has been basically asymptotic. Makes you wonder about things like the "great filter" and whether anthropological dating is accurate. >>409970 >the manufactured oil crisis All we had to do was not support Israel in one war and that never would have happened, lol.

>>409975 >>409978 >ai smut That's not even smut. Since I see this dismissive attitude a lot I'm gonna have to say something. Posters who dismiss everything as EZ PZ "AI slop" believe Stable Diffusion just spits out perfect images first try every time, no mistakes & at the peak of what can be done. While in reality it requires numerous attempts, tard-wrangling the AI into compliance with what you're trying to accomplish & perhaps countless photoshop interventions over a span of hours to make it look decent & by the end the output folder has hundreds of PNGs that weren't up to snuff for one reason or another that all get wiped off the computer while only one image remains as the victor of some Darwinian contest of survival. This is of course the process only if the person making the image gives a shit & dials their autism to eleven. Some don't. Regardless, it gets old hearing troglodytes act like photography was just invented, but it's illegitimate or irrelevant because the tool does more than what we had before & lowers the bar of entry. Of course ALL photos can be dismissed as exactly the same mastery, effort & quality since the tool does everything for you & anyone can use it, just like AI art. What a dumb attitude this is.

A compromised immune system makes the body less capable of fighting viruses it would normally squash without issue. That's actually still one of the biggest problems people have with the Corona-chan kill count, because the quacks never distinguished between deaths caused by Corona-chan and the people who died with Corona-chan.
>>410031 >Uh, that actually is true. A compromised immune system makes the body less capable of fighting viruses it would normally squash without issue. The methods of proving there was an even smaller germ that they just couldn't detect before falls into an even bigger quackery trap with the methods used to "isolate" this miniscule germ being rife with methodological errors. Here is how isolation of virii was established: >take mucus sample from sick person, from nose/mouth/eye/anus or fluid that was just flooded into their lungs and sucked back out >create bacteria culture first, by providing an unnatural medium to intentionally get large quantities of known bacterium, just for good measure >take a sample of whatever bacterium you just multiplied, and inject it into the blood, under the skin, and into the organs and/or spine of an animal, like a rabbit >oh I forgot a step, because usually this fails to get the animal sick, you have to add an "adjuvant" to the bacterium because immune systems are too stupid to recognize bad bacteria on its own, so add something like saline, arsenic, or aluminum to the bacterium before you inject it, good now the animal is sick that means their immune system is working >now kill the animal and harvest their organs, take samples of the varius organ tissue, turn it into a slurry, add some toxic chemicals to "purify" the slurry, spread it on a slide >add some more chemicals and dyes to highlight features of the organic tissue and stick it under an electron microscope congratulations, you've "isolated" the virus, by not actually reducing the contaminants at step, that you have to jump to the conclusion that by adding unnatural contaminants to the mix had at no point produced the end result of tiny fragments dna and rna floating around after the cells in the slurry exploded now you could try to prove that these tiny fragments will make people sick, but there's yet another flaw in how they tried to prove it >adjuvants added to all the samples before testing contagion to test subjects aluminum being one of the more popular adjuvants, but it's almost always a toxic chemical/metal that is added because that produces the "strongest immune response" when even saline alone has a higher chance of inducing flu like symptoms than deliberately swapping spit with someone who has the flu under laboratory conditions, but this is why vaccines all have adjuvants, because germ theorists believe an immune system cannot recognize anything harmful without the help of toxic substances that are guaranteed to make a person sick

>>410065 yes, humans get 'colds' or 'flus', but that's exactly a "gotcha" because the government funded Common Cold Unit tasked with proving contagion failed to do so for as long as it was allowed to run its experiments. Saline was more effective at inducing flu and cold symptoms, than intentionally exposing subjects to sickness, either naturally or unnaturally via intraveneous/intramuscular injection. The lack of evidence supporting germ theory makes even the changing weather or the seasons a more likely factor for disease than microscopic boogies.

Like Stark literally just lazing around and sitting on his ass for the last few episodes, or when they're walking around and he just gets bitten by a poisonous snake and almost dies despite being a super tough warrior that can survive otherwise fatal bodily wounds like when he fights the Taskmaster loli? Every male character in the show loses when they come up against a female character (not just Frieren or her exceptionally talented apprentice) with the exception of the guy who uses Sorganeil to beat Ubel, and considering she gets away and copies his spell you could call that a pyrrhic victory at best. Some of the most important male characters are either dead or dying and play no active role in the story. All the guys are basically yaoi-bait for fujoshis, the only exception here being the dwarf, maybe Denken. What elements in the series do you see which make you think it is not feminist?

>>410097 I was driving with a friend, I grabbed his leg instead of the gearstick, we both laughed and unzip his pants, I parked the car while fondling with his balls, my friend is laughing because he knows it's a joke and we're just friends, I start sucking his dick and was about to chock on it because I'm laughing so hard, my friend is also laughing his ass off, he starts making train noise while yelling "BROJOB BROJOB CHOO CHOO" he then cums and then I swallow it all and kiss him while both laughing cuz we know it's a joke. Gotta love making jokes with my friends bro.
>>410096 Sounds like you're mirroring feminist complaints about fighting shows not having any women kick men's ass. The show puts cute girls on top because the Japs like cute girls.
>>410100 Why would he say "CHOO CHOO" instead of "CHUGGA CHUGGA" before cumming. I'm starting to think this story never happened.

Male characters also save the day on plenty of occasions. Sein saves the entire party, Frieren and Fern included, from the monster putting everyone to sleep. Frieren loses to an old man assassin and would have been killed if Stark didn't jump in an help. Stark literally wakes up from near death to defend Fern against a blow that would have killed her. >>410104 So are you just admitting you can't think of anyway to disprove what I'm saying or what? >>410106 Arnold Scharzenegger was good looking, Sylvester Stallone was good looking, Stark Land and Himmel are twinks. 2 of those guys are hardened warriors and should probably look the part. The old elf guy they meet looks like a warrior and is one, so the illustrator was certainly capable of making them look like they had some muscle on them. Also, all the times you mentioned guys doing anything in the series are contrived like I mentioned before. They didn't need Stark to defeat the dragon, Sein doesn't save the day, his efforts allow Frieren to save the day. Stark's win against the demon loli is also him exchanging blows with her and her dying while he survives despite the fact she was handily kicking his ass in every prior scene. It is an asspull of immense proportions so that Stark's continued presence in the party is justified for the fujos. Frieiren is middling at best, the real saving grace is it's production budget allowing for some cool magical effects and thus some spectacular looking fights but the story lacks any real emotional punch. When everything feels like it is merely in service to the story rather than happening as a direct result of the character's actions and the characters themselves don't really emote well. Obviously Frieren is an elf who are all unemotional (except for the elf warrior guy, odd that huh?) but many of the human characters also kind of walk around with a blank look on their face. Even in fights. Even when confronted with shocking revelations.

Hey, Tachyon here. I just want to let you know that I've talked with Mark and I'll be doing an AMA in this thread with his permission on January 5th, 2025! From 1PM EST to 3PM EST. The AMA is to help answer any community questions, address feedback and criticism, and promote the Kickstarter campaign for The People of GamerGate. I've interviewed 70+ people involved with GamerGate in a variety of capacities, including supporters, opponents, developers, journalists, feminist media critics and others to document the true story of what happened. The Kickstarter campaign will be launching on December 9th! You can click "notify me on launch" to be notified on launch day. Kickstarter pre-launch page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tachyonblue/the-people-of-gamergate I look forward to chatting with you all on January 5th. I'll post on Twitter to verify this is me.

>>410142 If Eisen could withstand significantly more virulent poison and Stark is Eisen's apprentice that he himself acknowledged was going to surpass him, and training to improve the body's constitution is specifically mentioned as being part of being a warrior than yes, Stark should not be in serious danger from some random snakebite. Of course, the whole situation is contrived so as to bring in the priest dude but acting like any of this makes sense just goes to show how unreliable you are as a judge of verisimilitude. Not sure why you're mentioning Macht, Solitar is obviously stronger than him, she manipulates him in fact. You know what, this is a really good microcosm of what makes the series feminist. In that battle Frieren almost steals Denken's vengeance completely nonchalantly, then switches out to fight the greater threat, Denken only wins because of a spell Serie gave him while Frieren wins by figuring out and undoing the curse that required the collective magical knowledge of humanity to even seal. While under attack from the Greater Demon, who is female, that undid that barrier, the same barrier which kept Macht sealed for years. Also not sure why you believe that characters being portrayed as heterosexual means they're not designed with fujoshi in mind. CLAMP drew a bunch of shit where the dudes were obviously love interests for female characters, that didn't stop fujos from shipping them together. I don't give out details about myself online but I'm willing to bet I'm a lot older than you so it seems more likely that you're the one compromised by radical feminism pushed on you when you were growing up such that you now see off-putting girlboss characters as normal and perceive any incompetent male character as a pretty accurate depiction even when supporting evidence in the story itself depicts otherwise. I still remember a time when a female being able to fight in any capacity whatsoever was considered unique enough to market on.

>>410182 >Weed imageboard >Hosted by Socialists Yeah, that checks out. You have to be stoned to follow Marx. >>410183 Or it could be an /a/ situation where it's populated by a handful of users who are all schizophrenics. >>410184 It is unironically Mark's fault, but not entirely. After Jimbo took down h8chan, several of the more popular boards defaulted to their bunker domains and eventually made a "close-nit" alliance of crossposting boards called "The webring". But when Jim brought the site back as 8kunt, Mark forced everyone off the /v/ bunker to get people posting on 8kunt (Strike One). After several months of Jim and Codemonkey bullshiting before revealing that they were never going to revive h8chan proper, Mark and the userbase jettisoned to "Fatchan" and opperated that site for a while. I forget the exact drama that occured (Because all of this was happening in the middle of Corona-chan, so March), but Mark and the Fatchan admins had some issues and needlessly to say, things broke down (Strike Two). Mark also tried to have a "fallback board" on ProLikeWoah (The /animu/ bunker), but Loleron gave up less than a week in because he imediately started getting harassed for reasons unknown at the time. By that point, Mark and Acid had established 8moe and we've been here since. However a lot of posters hated Mark because he is a fat fingered retarded Kike and just didn't want anything to do with him after all his years of antics (Strike three), even if he's literally the most uncorrupt admin a site has ever had. So a lot of the people who preferred Fatchan got that site's admin to release the source code and splintered off to form Sleepychan. And they've hated Acid and Mark ever since (More as a hobby than anything legitmate). Now AlongSpace is a rebranding of Julay, the /cow/ bunker. The thing about /cow/ is that the admins of the board belong to their own collective known as "The Triangles". They were an IRC group who wanted to hijack the h8chan GG threads as their own personal army. However when they encountered resistance from posters, they resolved to destroy any possibility of the threads continuing, including reporting Acid to the FBI at one point since he's the most prominent GG avatarfags on h8chan and owned one of the GG boards. Eventually they mellowed out and splintered off into /intl/, /cow/, and /leftypol/ once much of their damage was done and GG was mostly "moot" by that point as a result of the 2016 election. Disclosure on this part, this is second hand knowledge from before my time as I'm a 2017 newfag. Fast forward to h8chan going down in 2019, /cow/ and the Triangles (Having now defaulted to Julay), were actually the ones who proposed the webring in the first place. However as time went on, a lot of spergouts were happening across the boards (Remember how I mentioned PLW) to where the only "active" video game boards (And GG discussion threads by extension) on the webring was on 8moe and Julay. Then the Lesbian Golfing Sim 2 leaks happened. What does that have to do with anything? Well, the BO of Julay's /v/ board was censoring all posting of the leaks. He was bullied by Julay's posters about it to the point that the guy eventually had to take a break and handed control of the board over to someone else referred to as "Tengu". Tengu immedtiately turned the board basically into /b/ and a lot of people were having fun. This angered Julay's admins to the point that they allowed literally and unironic cheeze pizza spam (Yes, THAT kind) to go unmoderated by the Julay globals in order to get the Tengu to give up control of the board. This eventually culminated in Tengu deleting Julay/v/, twice, as a joke. <Webm coveres everything that happened to him before, during, and after that However where things "really" got interesting was that Tengu had been leaking IRC chat logs of the Julay admins during all of that, and it was discovered that the Triangles who had colluded to destroy the GG threads and doxxed Acid years prior were the ones who had been causing and fostering much of the spam and hostile tensions over the past year for the purposes of making THEIR site the "central" hub of the webring (And giving them control over "h8chan's legacy"). After the Tengu destroyed their site, and their intentions were exposed, Julay became a joke to the point that they have since rebranded to Alogs.Space. But every still knows who they are. However despite all that happening and much of it being manufactured, what remains of 8chan (And GG in general) is now spread across half a dozen sites that either hate each other or are just outright tired and want to be left alone.

>>410192 That's a damned good summary for being 2017 newfag secondhand, anon. I could nitpick it but it doesn't really need it. Good post. >>410184 You might recall in my interview that I told you about the whole Triangle business culminating an "an intentional phyrric victory from which the 8chan #GG community never fully recovered." Part of it relates to that. Whether I liked it or not, and whether it was justified or not, there were a lot of people who saw #GG implode all around 8chan and my name, board, and actions were front and center of it. For the 99.9% of anons who had no idea what was really going on, the smear campaign that group used against me must have sounded a lot more believable than the reality of shady cabals, doxing rings, and sub-boards staffed by paranoid weirdos with delusions of grandeur who somehow got articles published on Infowars and went to prison for murder. A big part of the community just took Occam's Razor and ran with it, and the simplest explanation was that Acid was a "mean piece of shit." To this day people still uncritically repeat the narrative, much like what happened with #GG itself, and the story bubbles up from time to time, gets explained and then forgotten again, all ad nauseam across a dozen small websites. It should be obvious that those people wouldn't want anything to do with a site that I help run. Then those people found other 8chan-adjacent sites to call home, and their general sentiment about this place gets exchanged between them and picked up by their newcomers in the basic social dynamic of any community. Literally a meme. I don't like the state of affairs because its never been about the truth, but I've never shirked the responsibility for what I did when the conversation goes deep enough to make it relevant. I broke a lot of eggs to make that metaphorical omelette and some innocent people were justifiably upset, but #GG had to be free to fight its own war: If the Triangles had gotten their way *none of us* would be here and #GG's ideals would have never passed into the gaming zeitgeist the way they did. Fuck for all I know, without still-pissed gamers picking up political slack via meme-war in 2016, Trump may never have made it in as President. That's a crazy fucking thought, but remember that 8chan was one of the ten biggest referral sites to the Trump campaign back then.
>>410161 He should also add Ptolemy
>>410196 /v/ has nothing to do with the traffic to trump. That was the Q anon board. Part of why we left was the Q anon people IIRC.
>>410198 This was way before they existed anon. I'm talking 2015-2016. Qtards didn't become a major thing until Trump was already in office, because Q was supposedly someone high up in his administration. That traffic was /pol/ and /v/ which was just #GG by another name in those days.
>>410196 It really isn't, >>410192 is missing a lot of core bits like how I gave up a paid gig to try and exposed Jim for bullshitting to how some of the fatchan anons were literally shitting on me for trying to set up a new board, and decided to trash me when they tricked me to "take a break and come back" only to be met with countless backstabbings and censorship that we existed at all. Keep in mind the only reason fatchan got any traction at all was because I got someone to redirect a bunch of anons there from 8kun to fatchan, and I wasn't able to do the same for 8moe due to my ties with 8kun being cut. I had no issue with the Fatchan admins other than that I never had contact with them to begin with. I made the mistake of "taking a break" and letting them steal my board. You have to understand that the tools on 8prime are MUCH shittier than what we have now. The difference between deleting a single post and deleting post history was razor thin, especially on mobile devices. I'm OPEN to discussing things with sleepy, but they aren't open to talking with me, which is where we are at in the crossroads. While I've certainly made mistakes, and I'll admit to that. Everything I've done is as transparent as I can be. Even the shit with "deleting /v/ on fatchan" was me misunderstanding the board settings and wanting to put my account on hold without wiping the entire board. Still this is a discussion for the meta thread rather than the GG thread, so I would appreciate if we could move it there.
>>410200 I was referring to the Triangle/Tengu stuff. For some reason I derped since to me the stuff with Fatchan and your open letter to Watkins are common knowledge around 8chan, so I didn't register its absence.

>a post got deleted twice Holy cow
>>410204 Well, for six years straight I would always login and take care of things. I was straight up addicted to it. Which is why I deleted said account so I could take a proper brake. It was part of a job that I was really attached too and really felt that I put a lot of time and money into. I didn't want a board wipe, what I wanted was to disable the account so I couldn't login. You also have to keep in mind that I was in a really dark place at the time due to some IRL shenanigans.

It wasn't until some drive-by attacker calling himself (((Esther M. Aronowitz))) who managed to get Fatchan deplatformed by reporting it to its webhosts for having a /pol/ board and some framed incidents probably posted. I recall this because they killed Zchan (predecessor to current ZZZ/Sleepychan) with the same maneuver. It was only around then that 8moe got any real traction (and even then not much as //v/ balkanized between this place, Sleepy, and Julay which died). >>410278 Because the "fascist" Imperium is generally better than the forces they fight against and justified in their authoritarian actions, even though it would suck ass to live under any faction in that universe. Leftists can't stand such a group being depicted as the lesser evil in any popular media, because it's supposed to always be the ultimate evil. Thusly, they've tried attacking it, corrupting it, trumping up opposing factions in the story, et cetera.
>>410281 Haha, you have to be misearble anon
>>410266 I am not into Warhammer 40k very deep, but why are these guys the past year or two yelling about the "IT'S A SATIRE" thing still? Plus 80% of the vidya seems to be from the Imperium's point of view. Also with them being all British and also Catholic-like, that doesn't very scream Nazi to me, it is blanket authoritarian, the skulls maybe add the Nazi flair but skills are badass. 40k is clearly exaggerating authoritarian aspects, yeah, but it doesn't outright baby you and tell you you're a terrible fascist Nazi evilman, for all it's worth the Imperium is still the last spark of hope in the galaxy despite it being an extremely corrupt and brutal empire. So I guess, lefty faggot point of view is even if all of your enemies are the worst filth imaginable, that if you a little bit mean then you're just as bad or something? I don't know. Lefty faggot astroturfing is just annoying.

I knew someone like that, he tried to date guys for a few months just to "see if he was gay." Was just as much of a disheveled skinny fuck like Destiny, had a weird lisp like him too. Honestly if people like that just spent a year in the gym and got a proper haircut, they would probably be laughed at a bit less. But they associate physical fitness and self-care with being racist, so they'll never do jack shit.
>>410278 40k has some good games with longevity and with all the people running around like power armored autists having actual fucking fun blowing up xeno and heretic alike versus <shit woke "hero" shooter game filled with landwhales and fucking ugly whores where the running speed was half of a normal person's walking speed <shit Star Wars game based on nucanon meaning abhorrent dogshit <any of the innumerable "RPG"s that came out where none of the protagonists were good people by any method of measure with shitty stories made by degenerates who think that they suffer from the poor people grind while being wealthy enough to afford all the tranny shit that they're on Obviously it's going to get a target on its back, especially when you consider that GW's been sucking the DEI shit and the fanbase fought back after the female Custodes. Also due to the nature of 40k, even though the Imperium of Man is the worst conglomeration of every misanthropic political spectrum available, it's STILL better than >the forces of the Ruinous Powers >being eaten by Tyranids >being torturefucked and turned into a surgical abomination care of the Dark Eldar >getting mindshackled by the Necrons >being used as sport or slaves by the Orks et cetera, et cetera. The leftistfags cannot allow for any instance of "Fascism" to be seen as justifiable, morally correct, or even reasonable. 40k basically argues that in this situation, yes, it is at that point necessary to industrialize humanity to the point of such mediocre things as "rights" to be forfeit.
>>410284 >>410286 >>410291 The left and nu40kfags don't get that 40k is Dune's feudal system with the authoritarianism placed up 400%, in Dune the Humans don't have aliens to be bothered with but in 40k the humans are trying very hard to have no aliens to be bothered with.
>>410286 >So I guess, lefty faggot point of view is even if all of your enemies are the worst filth imaginable, that if you a little bit mean then you're just as bad or something? The lefty faggot point of view is that even if all of your enemies are the worst filth imaginable, you're still worse if you even vaguely resemble Nazis, because suggesting the Nazis could be the good guys in any scenario, no matter how outlandish, is wrongthink.
>>410291 Also the female Custodes thing throws me for a loop, because I feel like GW could have just said "we just think it'd be cool to have a chick there" and most people probably would have accepted it, but they turned it into a culture war thing. More and more lately, when people point out "hey you're playing the sex/race/gay card and it feels disingenuous" the response lately seems to be them going "actually, we ARE trying to force shit down your throat"
>>410286 Every faction can be seen as a hero, the orks, necrons, eldar all killed the old gods and seperated the warp from reality, with the eldar contributing to the formation of a chaos god that they're burdened with. Tyrannids and chaos factions are the only full antagonists really, the other xenos like tau and "votann" are basically good guys with internal strife. >>410278 It is a masculine aesthetic, and especially because space marine 2 wasn't a flop and doesn't even have paid gameplay dlc. https://yewtu.be/6-ixN8YE4wc
>>410286 >but why are these guys the past year or two yelling about the "IT'S A SATIRE" thing still? Because "military bad". And because they think that the formation of groups with like-minded individuals and the ideals of bettering one's self to be the best you can possibly be "inevitably" lead to Fascism...because that's what their philsophical leaders told them would happen. Also, they don't understand that people can admire groups and people for certain attributes while also ridiculing them for others.

>>410305 Pitbulls are by far the most violent dogbreed. The second most violent dog breed (rottweilers if I remember correctly) aren't even close to the pitbulls. This is exacerbated by "pit mommies" who refuse to properly train and discipline their dogs. It is funny that they are so violent. Bulldogs used to be banned from Rome for being so violent and mastiffs used to be war hounds. Yet none are as violent as the pitbull. >>410292 I didn't understand the comparison until I actually read Dune (didn't read past God Emperor of Dune but I think I still get the picture) and the comparison is mostly disengenuous. Yes, the Butlerian Jihad 'may' have been borrowed from Frank Herbert's works and incorporated into 40k, but it was only a Brian Herbert fiction (Frank's son) that turned the Butlerian Jihad into a "AI vs Humanity" thing. Other than that is the idea of the God Emperor, but it's approached entirely differently in 40k as it is with Leto II. The last comparison I could see was the way that reliable space travel happens which is via navigators in both who are a huge asset and rare to come by. The houses aren't quite close enough to compare since the "factions" of the Imperium are much more united than the houses in Dune ever were, even up to the end.

>>410309 >What are the politics of final fantasy? Depends on the game. For example, FF6 is about overthrowing a totalitarian government, meanwhile FF7 was about environmentalism. >>410311 >are not overtly political I never said they were. I just said that you're a retard if you think the games are not poltical. The FF games are political in the same way that something like Metal Gear or Dragon Age is political. However that also carries the wrong connotation because it isn't "political" in the same way a debate between two individuals is "political". What people mean by those games being "political" is a very different word (That they should be using yet never do because they're idiot): drama, or even "operatic". The "politics" that exist within the game's narrative are there as tools to serve the game's story, and therefore it doesn't matter if the politcs are of the "right" or "wrong" opinion, or even realistically possible by extension. Best example is the discussion that we were having just a little while ago about Warhammer. By all accounts, I cannot think of a single person that would actually desire living under the Imperium Of Man if it were transplaneted 1-to-1 from the fiction to reality. However the reasoning for it's existence makes sense in the conterxt of the story, with all the "politics" occuring within the WH universe serving to further the ongoing narrative of how man fights and will (Hopefully) defeat the Gods of Chaos. But this also plays into the word game if you haven't already figured it out by now. Declaring that games are "political", by any measure, means that you've already fallen for the trap. Because that allows political activists to then enter into the medium and declare that they get to make THEIR games political with the exuse that "Well, games were 'always' political, so where is the issue?" You cannot back out and say how some games were "never" political because you already admitted that politics exists, even in some small capacity. You lost the argument. So the best course of action is to not even bring up politcs in the first place. Declare that games used to have drama that existed for the purposes of telling a story, but what the baizuo want to do is use a story to push a political message.

What's happening next is that we are slowly rolling back our involvement in SVT-AV1-PSY. One of the main devs for SVT-AV1-PSY is scaling back on maintaining the project significantly but the work on the PSY fork is getting merged into mainline aom. Not that that's going to speed up aom encoding unless something changes fast. https://mega.nz/file/BLgCyJTC#4dp_JPkcE0P8tewSrbGlWqg0QGoDq1aGgX6P8GT1GlU https://mega.nz/file/5WRiiQTS#iLjDZX3QtKqualQfUALW_OpWkT21lTyO7vjo9TIoK6U I generally recommend Staxrip for Windows and Av1ator for Linux. Staxrip is the best as it bundles a bunch of Avisynth and Vaporsynth functions like cropping and frame-exact cutting (ffmpeg sucks ass at exact cutting as it's designed around keyframes) although it does have issues. It's a nice GUI that condenses multiple basic video editing functions together. I think the next war I will declare after getting people on board with AV1 and VVC is on black bars and watermarks. https://github.com/staxrip/staxrip/releases

The fact that she only cuts trees, and never replants them, is also interesting, might have something to do with long term planning or lack of it. It would be awesome if she could also react to what the chat is saying while also playing the game, as in someone in the chat says "Place a block of stone in front of you", to which the AI actually does that, or "Plant a tree" and the AI does it.

>>410406 >>410407 I thought it was more about open borders in general and how unfiltered access to each others country will lead to a decline not just for the natives but the immigrants as well. Although the manga being about white colonialism and the Americanization of Japan makes a LOT more sense than what I thought it was about.
>>410412 It is great that it shows that both are the same thing in the end. Leftards are all pro-american colonialism as long as it promotes faggotry, feminism and ugliness. Japan may not be white, but it is considered too "white adjacent" (doesn't want whites dead and was part of the axis), so it is a target of (((globohomo))).
>>410413 Perhaps, and it's not a bad story either. Although they can easily backpedal on it.
>>410414 I think if the author doesn't backpedal he might have an interesting idea, the MCs got hit on the chapter by the aliens but all of it is offscreen which is a interesting choice >>410414
>>410412 That's the great thing about applicability, anon, it works for both! It's worth noting, though, the aliens' colonization of Japanese is "peaceful" as opposed to America's in the 40s which was due to, you know, losing a war. "Soft colonization" is loved by the left. They left only rail against military and forceful colonization, which hasn't really been a thing in our lifetime. So I view this manga much more as an indictment of the kinds of infiltration and replacement the left love, tough I'm sure there's some post-WW2 sentiment in there too.
>>410416 >, the aliens' colonization of Japanese is "peaceful" as opposed to America's in the 40s It's too early to assume that, we have too little info it's not like its a oneshot
>>410417 Oh anon I'm not saying the aliens didn't fake the meteor (or threw it at Earth in the first place) as the characters bring up the possibility themselves. What I mean is America's occupation of Japan in the 40s was due to beating the Japanese in a war. The aliens' slow infiltration into Japan was ostensibly due to peaceful action. There was no war with the aliens. That's what I mean. I am hoping the manga does advocate for total alien death and presents their occupation as sinister. But that doesn't change the fact that the circumstances that lead to this situation are different than post WW2/

>>410406 >>410412 I've decided to finally read the damn manga because it got so many people bothered. And I understand immediately why it's hated But many of those that think the manga is talking about black people and immigrants are wrong they're merely a symptom of what the manga is actually trying to address. >ackshually it is about white colonialism Thats what its really about. More specifically it's about how many Asian nations not just Japan who while grateful for getting a better quality of life from Europeans/Americans want to ask how long will they have to remain grateful for whilst being treated like shit. Because it can't be for perpetuity. There's a simmering resentment brewing in real life not just manga. And the Author is trying to address it and highlights how many Asian people are being forced to work near slave labor conditions just to barely make ends meet by a monolith corporations and cultures that don't care for them to even learn their language whilst working them like dogs. The quality of life whilst improved can only be truly afforded by those outside the average Asian's wages. Main character isn't going to space and never will. So yeah the technology is there but so what? Frankly you would think niggerpill and his like would love the anime since it's criticizing America and white people. >but its about black people and POC immigrants I don't know of any POC immigrant in asia engaging in slave labor I can tell you that much.
>>410441 Asians are welcome to become nationalist populists with tariffs. Nobody really forces them to work for the end point of their exports, americans, besides their own rat race corporate grind. As the representative american I fully endorse them kicking out every transnational corporation and instead contracting those services at whatever rate they want, or going to subsistance farming, or whatever else they want. It's probably unfair to the work since I didn't read it but it sounds like the author wants a pendulum swing without actually doing anything except being handed it by libshits. All they have to do is take the reigns of self governance instead of behaving like a vassal state.
(3.07 MB 1280x720 SEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.mp4)

>>410441 I can't speak for how frequently people running businesses can't speak their language, but i'm pretty sure japan was accepted by the west in the 70's or 80's for making efficient cars and electronics, everything outside of that is their yamato damashii samurai suicide work ethic letting greedy, greasy businessmen grind them into the dirt while pocketing profits. This is as much an internal affair as it is external, and aliens just make for a good excuse at venting the frustrations of the poor of modern society. Assuming, i suppose, the greedy business owners are wholly japanese and not zainichi crypto-koreans calling themselves japanese, i'm not sure how much you can blame greed and heartless business practices on pure japanese genetic stock. At any rate, i support monoethnic nationality and hope japan takes women's liberties away to make them pure japanese baby factories for a fresh new generation.
>>410443 >aliens just make for a good excuse at venting the frustrations of the poor of modern society This, the author can vent but it's pointless to blame westerners when we face the exact same problem upstream. Same energy as complaining all men cheat on women, they're just looking at success and generalizing it.
>>410441 Whites aren't flooding Japan and taking over their spaces though. If you were to count the actually immigrants to Japan I bet white would be a pretty small number compared to the others. I'm not saying there isn't an element of of "anti white colonialism" in the text, but I think it's against ALL outsiders personally. The whole "take your women and your sports stars angle is much more aimed at niggers and sand niggers than whites.
>>410442 >>410443 >Nobody really forces them to work for the end point of their exports, americans, besides their own rat race corporate grind > everything outside of that is their yamato damashii samurai suicide work ethic letting greedy, greasy businessmen grind them into the dirt while pocketing profits. This is as much an internal affair as it is external, That's it entirely, obviously theres far more nuance that the manga fails to examine how much of that is because theres only one chapter out is anyones guess so far. If Aliens/Americans didn't exist you can bet your ass they'll still be working to stay competitive But at the same time its also about the lack of a ability to criticize Aliens because the current atmosphere demands you be grateful to them. If it was just another Asian this wouldnt be a big a problem. But now with race and "gratitude" mixed into it it becomes a much more difficult endeavor. Like say your parent was entirely in the wrong, but their excuse I gave you life now do what I say I didn't raise you to talk back. The absurdity of not even having a say in how you think your country should be run because you were saved once by people who live a continent away is maddening. At the end of the day it's more >take the reigns of self governance instead of being run like a vassal state. >>410445 It is against all outsiders. but I think the major complaint is how the current regime/America is forcing them to take all sorts of immigrants in.
>>410446 In the end the manga is just a curiosity, but much like how we have fiction that defines various dystopias like 1984, brave new world, fahrenheit 451, etc it's nice to just have something with common meaning to discuss when resolving issues like that down the line.

Frankly I'm not exactly impressed and I generally don't really like Mc's that commit cannibalism within the first chapter. Not saying I haven't played characters who did that, but build up my bond with em first. As always SJW have the emotional maturity of toddlers unable to look at the big picture. If they didn't throw such a fuss over nothing I would have just skipped it altogether, I still might.

>>410449 But why would you watch an ai play videogames for you? It's just a TAS with an ai monologue.
>>410412 Is it based on War of the Worlds? The Ay lmaos in that book were explictly compared to muh colonists by the author in the very same book. >And before we judge them [the Martians] too harshly, we must remember what ruthless and utter destruction our own species has wrought, not only upon animals, such as the vanished Bison and the Dodo, but upon its own "inferior" races. The Tasmanians, in spite of their human likeness, were entirely swept out of existence in a war of extermination waged by European immigrants, in the space of fifty years. Are we such apostles of mercy as to complain if the Martians warred in the same spirit? >Chapter I, "The Eve of the War
>>410445 There's actually a lot of evidence to support the "aliens = waito piggu" interpretation seeing as if you've been paying attention wiggers have been making an ass of themselves and treating Japan like a theme park. There are also the stormfags who advocate for dumb shit like moving to Japan for "white culture" (despite the fact that moving there would destroy said safety, turns out Nazis believe in "magic soil" when it comes to Asia). Japan's high trust culture combined with a lot of Kishida cucking led to wiggers flocking there after tourism relaxed and causing all sorts of shit, souring the nation's opinion of them fast. And considering that Japan's biggest headlines are usually an amateur purse-snatching ring on subways, it's something when you open up a paper and find your local shrine got defaced because some fat Amerilard thought it would be funny. That's not even getting into the nuisance streamer culture like Delgado peeping up girls' skirts and posting it on Douyin to earn money from it, or geishas in Kyoto having to have no-photography regulations passed because retarded gaijin kept harassing them (that's right I found more examples I couldn't fit into this post). So essentially Japan decided, "why not double our current levels of immigration and tourism, let's experiment, what's the harm" and everybody got reminded why they kept immigration low in the first place. Tokyo these days resembles an American suburb, which might as well be skidrow in Los Angeles for the Japanese. Remember the Pareto principle, much like nogs in the West the minorities are responsible for the majority of damage.
>>410452 So the moral of the manga is Whites are just as bad as Niggers?
>>410453 I mean the manga just started, at best you can only summarize the first chapter, and that summary is 'no matter how much a group improves your society otherwise, if they're annoying and disruptive to you specifically, you should kill them and eat them'. Which, really, could easily implicate jews as much as anybody.
>>1046113 Whiter than you Abdul.
>>410452 Literally the most infamous person to go over and cause trouble was a nigger named Johnny Somali, anon.
>>410456 Even so, he's not wrong.
>>410441 >Frankly you would think niggerpill and his like would love the anime since it's criticizing America and white people. Not if it's criticizing corporations which put on a humanitarian coat while using slave labor in Asia, which pretty much everyone in the USA silently accepts because "muh price of goods, we can't move manufacturing here, my backyard will stink!".

>>410443 >but i'm pretty sure japan was accepted by the west in the 70's or 80's for making efficient cars and electronics They really weren't. There was a lot of Sinophobia about Japan's rise during the late 20th century that lead to a lot of people believing that they would eventually "buy out" all of America. However much of it was not warranted and happened because a lot of America businesses just became too complacant with being #1, so the thought of someone else actualy overtaking them scared them shitless. >>410451 Anon, Wells was an unapologetic Fabian, alongside George Bernard Shaw. >>410452 >>410454 >and that summary is 'no matter how much a group improves your society otherwise, if they're annoying and disruptive to you specifically, you should kill them and eat them' If that actually was the case, then why wasn't there random killing of American soldiers instead of Communists and their own people during the 60's, 70's, and 80's? >>410458 >which pretty much everyone in the USA silently accepts No, they don't. A lot of people want manufacturing to return to the U.S., "low prices" be damned. Not to mention that more and more people are becoming aware of how those "low prices" are a manipulation in the first place and not happening in earnest.

>>410465 That's yesterday's news, now we have https://archive.ph/xuwmK South Korea Declares Emergency Martial Law >President Yoon Suk Yeol made the announcement during a televised briefing, vowing to "eradicate pro-North Korean forces and protect the constitutional democratic order." It wasn't immediately clear how the steps would affect the country's governance and democracy. >Yoon — whose approval rating has dipped in recent months — has struggled to push his agenda against an opposition-controlled parliament since taking office in 2022. >Yoon's conservative People Power Party had been locked in an impasse with the liberal opposition Democratic Party over next year's budget bill. He has also been dismissing calls for independent investigations into scandals involving his wife and top officials, drawing quick, strong rebukes from his political rivals.
>>410468 Sweet, is this going to be a repeat of the 2018 protests that happened in response to Park being impeached and where nothing happened?
>>410469 I'll be generous and say it leads to something like what happened to Erdogan in Turkey: a coup that fails miserably before business as usual returns. At least that's mildly entertaining.
>>410468 As context, the chaebol vie for power in south korea and often have each other arrested for massive corruption and given 5 year sentences (always reduced to 6 months) when "their man in washington" takes power in seoul. Any purge or anti-corruption is just shuffling board pieces around.
