<Granblue Fantasy VS: Rising
Ran some sets with some friends. Ended up getting a double KO for the first time. I thought this wasn't possible in this game, but it can happen when far-reaching moves interact with projectiles, causing a double counter-hit at the same time when the projectile user extends their hitbox as part of the animation and gets hit right as or just before the projectile comes out, which then counter-hits the person hitting them. Also had a really funny set where I won by pure luck when my opponent dropped their combo. Avatar Belial is stupid strong and can delete you from pretty high health thresholds, but if he fucks up he's basically dead due to super low max health and draining his HP with all of the moves he has to use to combo. Kind of interesting character that gets to be a bit more broken in exchange for that heavy drawback. Sorry for the quality being ass, the game is very VFX-intensive which makes it need a higher bitrate for smoother videos, which I can't do while keeping it uploadable here.

Well, I finished the game. I get it now. Or rather, I already got why people had so much enjoyment solving one big super-interactive 3D spess puzzle, but I get why people praise the ending so much. Thinking back over the whole experience, especially with the DLC planet, I think it goes in my top 5. Probably in fifth or fourth place, but still, top 5. Give it a go I say if you like puzzles or are a lorehound like I am, which was my main draw to this game considering the whole archeology bend to it with discovering secrets of a long-dead race. I'll write a more formal review for the review thread over the weekend. Few games can move me to true tears without cheap tricks, but this game managed to do it with that ending, and in a fucking freeform adventure exploration game of all things.
I never did figure out how the Nomai died though, but I had it spoiled to me when reading the comments of the vid I got that pic from last time I posted here.
Fuck that stupid comet anyway I'm not doing trial-and-error-sliding-puzzles for one lore tidbit even if it adds a bit more to the ending and adds to the slideshow "ending" of Echoes of the Eye when sharing memories. Don't know if I'm going to go back and do all the achievements either, since most of them are just for doing funny or stupid BS. I might do it for fun though since there's a really cool one I want to go for that
you get for riding the flood wave when the dam bursts in the Observer. Provided you can stay on it for 15 seconds.. Most of the others are stupid bullshit like going around the observer in 90 seconds or interacting with some random technology in funny ways. Or tedious bullshit like landing the model ship on the moon.
Seriously, give it a pirate if you're remotely intrigued by the concept of the game.
<Enotria: The Last Song
Really enjoying this soulslike. Managed to reach the final boss as well but was too fatigued to sit down and beat him, got damn close though. After doing everything there is to do in the game, I think, except maybe collecting the last few lore notes I missed, I'd say the game was pretty good and it's worth a play. Though be warned, parry-focused. If you didn't like Sekiro for the parries you'll hate this game. Oddly enough for the final boss I'm having an easier time fighting him by just running out and in and getting stray hits, aiming for poison as I'm using a status/elemental build, rather than actually learning all his parry timings for his longer move combos in phase 2 and 3. I get less ripostes but I use a ton less healing items and get to the final phase faster. In his last phase he does this one strong "finale" attack of sorts though that gave me too much trouble where he summons eight orbs that then fire bullets at you. I wonder if I can sprint it instead of trying to parry it.

Nothing, too busy playan and I'd rather be playan than watchan.

Spicy chicken nachos again from the same place. Though it's not the exact same as they were out of spicy chicken, so instead of getting chicken thoroughly mixed in with the spicy sauce they use they just put lots of the sauce on top of the normal chicken and apologized for the inconvenience. Tastes almost the same, but not quite.

Too much soda.

GOOD. Being done with my finals and in the Christmas season with all this cheer has really lightened my mood. Feel kinda bad for missing all the Uncommon Time streams due to work or other factors though. I'll get the summer ones and winter ones for sure in 2025 if things go to plan though, since I'll be off nightshift by then, I fucking hope. Hard for a white guy to get a job in this economy.
Still have to do all my Christmas shopping but since none of it is mail order I can just get it all knocked out all at once on Monday. I know a certain family member won't return the favor due to hatred of me and my 'tism and related behaviors, but it feels nice to give anyway and indirectly say you love them regardless.

Nice dubs, anon. I'd be willing to comfort you but I'm not making you a sex slave, an indentured housemaid perhaps though, you have to put in some work now, anon.
In all seriousness it'll get better. Trust me I know. You just have to pick yourself up, as damn hard as it will be, and keep going and aim to improve. Try writing or drawing or another creative hobby to get your mind off things. Something to do with your hands to help your mind be less idle and have less time to dwell on such awful things. There's no cure-all for despair or sadness, of course, but you can do many things to help alleviate it.
