Centralization begets activity unfortunately. The biggest issue we have with all boards, but especially small niche boards like this one is that no one knows these sites exist. 8chan.moe is unknown and irrelevant, 3chan is unknown and irrelevant. Even if communities weren't as scattered and fragmented as they are now it would be difficult and require some degree of shilling campaigns (see
>>>/site/2992 ). But being both fragmented and having everyone completely unaware any of these imageboards exist while also competing with people isolating themselves into their little
(((discord))) communities is killing any activity and hope for a future on imageboards.
It sounds a bit weird to tell an admin of another imageboard that you think his efforts will ultimately be fruitless. I was and still am a big proponent of decentralization, and I really don't want a world where we're all dependent on a single centralized site. But if the choices are between having anyone to talk to at all or upholding the principle of decentralization it seems like the latter is self-defeating.
But don't let my black pilled perspective stop you. There's a lot of suggestions in
>>>/site/2992 this thread that apply to any imageboard if you really want ideas on less cancerous ways to generate activity. Though at this point it does feel like if 8chan.moe can't get people to all land under the same banner every community will putter out over a few years.
