Let's have another thread on vintage comics. it's been ages since the last one. Anonymous 11/23/2020 (Mon) 19:18:51 Id: 9e73e1 No. 7764
i'm looking for that one with the scoutmaster and the children

>>45618 Cont.
>>45618 It sure beats what they have in the Sunday funnies these days.
>>27230 The original illustrations actually look better even though they aren’t as explicit. The remakes have less dynamic poses, the lines have a too smooth, digital look.
>>45622 I know, they used to be like actual comic strips and comic books until they became(according to Calvins Grandpa from Calvin and Hobbes) an bunch of Xeroxed talking heads.

First time i heard about those was watching Green Mile when i was a boy. It's funny to see those old bastards were as much as lolicon as we are.
>>47598 Do you have the rest if this one? I found something but it’s censored.
>>47709 That series needs to come back. It's not like anyone owns the copyright.

>>47709 Only found those, unfortunately. But this shit has lots of potential
>>47807 The format could definitely be brought back. Any artists who’d be interested in creating newTijuana Bibles?
>>47807 This “Little Evie” TB was apparently made as a homage to the old Tijuana Bibles in 1969. It’s being sold at this website: https://tijuanabible.org/tijuana-bible/annstreetbooks.htm

Parodies 2
there has to be different versions of this, i actually own 3 books of the series "parodies" in 2 different languages and they are all different!
>>50995 Do you mean completely different or that there are minor changes? I noticed that one edition on sad panda haf different page counts for the French and Dutch versions but I haven’t checked to see what’s missing in the Dutch one.
>>50997 they're totally different
>>51019 Then they must just be different editions in the Parodies series. Don’t they have a different title or subtitle? I noticed some editions are made by a single artist who imitates the drawing styles of different creators and others have the original artists parodying their own work.
(4.15 MB 2448x3264 Nachahmungen.jpg)

(4.09 MB 2448x3264 Imitate 1.jpg)

(2.15 MB 1800x2700 Imitate 2.jpg)

>>51033 well, i have checked my books, seems all the versions are german versions, but with different titles... one of them "nachahmungen" (which just means imitations, which is just another word vor "parodies") just contains page 30 (middle pic of >>50775 while "imitate 2" seems to cover all of the images of pastiches 3 from >>50776 but my "imitate 1", which should be a version of "parodies 2" of >>50991 does not contain any of the images, so i think either in some publications the volumes got mixed up or there are several different versions / issues which either aren't published in all countries, or worse some of the pages got removed from different languages...
>>50775 >>50776 >>50990 >>50991 Id love to have these translated. Also we just need more stuff in general of that cute little blue centaur.

(445.38 KB 1176x1560 p35.jpg)

>>51035 The French and Dutch versions of the Al Voss edition are definetly different. The Dutch one is missing some pages and and some are b&W while the French edition is full color. The Dutch edition does include a better scan of the Becassine comic. https://exhentai.org/g/1497008/b75d1797b6/
>>51036 >>50990 I can give it a shot, my French isn't great but it's good practice. Becassine, The First Time By Voss Yesterday, when the little ones decided to go play "sexual education" at Toto's place, the idea displeased me. And when they started comparing their anatomies, I was very embarrassed. But when, after having a long discussion while giggling on this scabrous subject, they decided to start on the act, I tried in vain to stop them, but they only listened to the horrible demon of sex. My face flushed after seeing so repugnant an spectacle I left the living room and I went to take refuge in the garden. It was then that Armand, the gardener, jumped on top of me! Afflicted by these emotions I didn't know how to defend myself. But,after knocking me down on the grass and sticking his callous hands under my skirts he got up while swearing like a Cossack. "It's a man!! It's a man!!" It was an unexpected revelation for me. I changed my old clothes, adopted an dog, and left for a new life. I think the joke is based on the fact that the comic Becassine was an influence on Herge's style and that she and TinTin do resemble each other. >>51043 The Dutch translation is definitely simplified.
