Until recently, western pop has been dominating music. Every few years, a pop star or group of them dictate popular taste, from backstreet boys to Britney to others, most recently Billy Eillish. But as the economic domination of American cultural hegemony slowly fades, other cultures and their effects emerge. One such trend, I have been noticing is songs with erratic, energetic and many a times schizophrenic song structure coming from east Asia. Chainsaw man - Kickback - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MNbX4MRIFQ Spy X Family - Mixed nuts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1kKAgvTX9c While such composition is not new, its use in more mainstream shows is very new. Just a decade ago, such songs being used in mainstream wouldn't get accepted and a more mainstream composition with more predictable song structure would be used. This is something very new and goes to show how mainstream audiences are far more accepting today. More subtle and less obvious examples are also there, which show this eclectic mix of post music elements applied to more traditional forms. Attack on Titan - Season 6 - OP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-eoYLBbZOA Attack on Titan - Season 6 - ED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ct5V3PYByo I have used only anime examples, but even Korean shows as well as Japanese shows that are quiet popular and mainstream have started to use such tracks and compositions for their score and openings.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEqgeN27Hhk Julian Lage - Tributary This song is a lesson in Dynamics and their importance in engaging music. I love how the guitar is always laid back compared to the drums and contrabass, coming in late, almost on the edge of missing the beat but never actually missing it.
>>531 I'm the deathcore/blackmetal anon from inch, you already know my taste.
>>534 More reason for you to share bands you are listening to, I will be sharing more varied tastes this time and not just metal. Though lot of interesting stuff in metal. Indiachan.io deleted the metal thread, is there an archive of that thread ?

>>498 https://youtube.com/watch?v=fxbr7vmf5q8 https://youtube.com/watch?v=qH5rwr-tbOE Not sure what type these songs are but they make me feel calm
>>538 The first one is just a pop song, and the 2nd one is rap of some kind(stoner rap maybe?). Not my kind of music
>>538 I don't like discouraging people who make original music but The first track is just using free preset sounds in FL, even the cover has 0 effort put in. The second song at least gets the aesthetic even if it not very original, it is just mumble rap for digested for Indian audience.
I had last year bought a pair of Rode NTH-100 headphones, based on reviews that were mostly all praise. And the headphones did sound good and were comfy, very good performance for the money. But few months in and the adjustment clasps broke. Turns out this is a common problem. I contacted Rode and they will give me a new pair. Each time though it will cost me to send the headphones. I do hope Rode comes up a real solution and I don't have to pay for sending in headphones every 3-4 months. Meanwhile, I used the cable on an old cheap panasonic headphones and I am using them. I am seriously considering giving up on headphones and only sticking to IEM's now.

>>606 Will be seeing them live soon in underground gig. Really looking forward to that. Excellent band. I am loving this new wave of black metal.
Listening to new lorna shore, specifially to the hellfire. Lorna shore is not my usual thing and niether is deathcore. The leads are too clean, the drums are pure midi and there is no human element to them etc. But praise for Lorna shore where it stands, the sparse background in the end of this song is like a reductionism as produced by a Michelin Chef, which rearranges the core elements of a breakdown into a masterful piece, enhancing the flavour of each.
>>546 I got my pair of IEM's, now going to sleep with both isolation and ear damage due to too much music. Headphones will take longer still.
>>620 like it or not, I really appreciate that they're bringing a new sound into the stale genre of deathcore, and many bands are bringing their own creativity into the genre after seeing their success. As a result, the deathcore scene has been revived and is in the best state it's ever been. Bands are no longer competing on who can sound the heaviest on 200bpm blast beats, which is a great thing for metal music in general. I do like the symphonic elements in neo lorna shore, they go well with heavy music.
>>626 Fully agreed on this. I had given up on deathcore before, but lot of cool bands in 2022.

Started listening to Radiohead again, I have divisive feelings on Radiohead. , mostly their music is too whiny for me, but sometimes there is structure I wouldn't expect. There is a serious lack of dark and angry music in India.

>>498 https://yewtu.be/j1fGQF_3_lg Sabaton: attack of the dead men (powerful version) heavy/power metal about ww1 before listening to this track, I recommend reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_of_the_Dead_Men >The Attack of the Dead Men, or the Battle of Osowiec Fortress was a battle of World War I that took place at Osowiec Fortress (now northeastern Poland), on August 6, 1915. The incident got its name from the bloodied, zombie-like appearance of the Russian combatants after they were bombarded with a mixture of poison gases, chlorine and bromine, by the Germans. -Battle >The Germans launched a full-frontal offensive on Osowiec Fortress at the beginning of July; the attack included 14 battalions of infantry, one battalion of sappers, 24–30 heavy siege guns, and 30 batteries of artillery equipped with poison gases led by Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg. Russian defenses were manned by 500 soldiers of the 226th Zemlyansky Infantry Regiment, and 400 militia. >The 11th Landwehr Division under the command of Infantry General Rudolph von Freudenberg was singled out for the new general attack. The 18th Regiment was deployed in the main direction along the highway and railway. The 76th Landwehr Regiment was to attack the south. To aid the success of the operation on the front of both regiments, it was decided to use a massive gas-balloon attack with chlorine. Other parts of the division to the north and northeast were to support the attack with demonstrative action. >At dawn, at 4:00 a.m. on August 6, 1915, with a tailwind on the entire front of the attack, chlorine was released from 30 gas-balloon batteries. It is estimated that the gas eventually penetrated to a total depth of 20 km, maintaining the striking effect to a depth of 12 km and up to 12 meters in height. >In the absence of any effective means of protection for the defenders, the result of the gas attack was devastating: the 9th, 10th and 11th companies of the Zemlyansky Regiment were completely out of action, from the 12th company in the central redoubt in the ranks remained about 40 people; Byalogrond had about 60 people from three companies. Almost all the first and second lines of defence of the Sosna position were left without defenders. Following the gas release, German artillery opened fire on the fortress and barraged fire for their units moving in the attack. The fortress's artillery was initially unable to fire effectively, as it in turn was hit by a gas wave. This was compounded by the simultaneous shelling of the fortress by both conventional shells and chloropicrin shells. More than 1,600 people were killed in the fortress, and the entire garrison was poisoned with varying degrees of severity. >Over twelve battalions of the 11th Landwehr Division, making up more than 7000 men, advanced after the bombardment expecting little resistance. They were met at the first defense line by a counter-charge made up of the surviving soldiers of the 13th Company of the 226th Infantry Regiment. The Germans became panicked by the appearance of the Russians, who were coughing up blood and bits of their own lungs, as the hydrochloric acid formed by the mix of the chlorine gas and the moisture in their lungs had begun to dissolve their flesh. The Germans retreated, running so fast they were caught up in their own concertina wire traps. The five remaining Russian guns subsequently opened fire on the fleeing Germans.[1][2][3][4][5] >Suppressing the solitary resistance, the units of the 18th Regiment quickly overcame the first and second line of barbed wire, occupied the tactically important fortified point "Leonov's court" and began to advance along the railway line to the Rudsky Bridge. The only reserve in the Position of Sosna remained a company of militias with up to 50% of the personnel poisoned; the demoralized remnants of the company could not carry out an effective counterattack. >To the south, the 76th Landwehr Regiment quickly occupied the depopulated Sosna, but had proceeded too swiftly and fell under its own gases, suffered significant losses, and was temporarily stopped by the fire of the remnants of the 12th Company at the central redoubt. >There was a real threat of the Germans seizing the Rudsky Bridge, which would mean dissecting the entire defence west of the fortress and the loss of the Sosna position. In this situation, the commandant of the fortress Lieutenant General N.A. Brzozovsky ordered artillery fire on the already occupied areas of the enemy Sosna position and a bayonet counterattack using "all that is possible." The remnants of the 8th and 13th company (about half of the original composition) counterattacked, along with the 14th company which sallied from the fortress. >The 13th company under the command of Lieutenant Kotlinsky counterattacked parts of the 18th regiment along the railway and forced them into flight. During the attack, Lieutenant Kotlinsky was mortally wounded and handed over command of the compound to the 2nd Osovetska Sap Company V. M. Strzeminsky, who, despite severe gas poisoning, with the remnants of the company entrusted to him, carried the attack to the end, using bayonet tactics to take possession of the 1st and 2nd sections of the Sosnya position. Kotlinsky died later that evening.[6][7] >The Russians did not hold the area for much longer. The Germans threatened to encircle the fortress with the capture of Kaunas and Novogeorgievsk. The Russians demolished much of the fortress and withdrew on August 18.[2][3]

>>1779 War is a topic not covered well enough in Indian music. Though you can say Indian music in general is not good at expressing negative stories. Contrast this to folk songs, that talk about wars, glory of war, battles of bygone eras, courage etc.
>>498 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xM-x7PLUgK8 Mesarthim - Arrival I don't know how to describe this, it goes through so many genres in just 15 mins. Post internet black metal.
>>1779 This is unrelated to the thread, but I really like books by military men. Call Sign Chaos was a great book. I am generally anti war in the modern sense, it is too much loss and most often, not enough gain. But preperation of violence is necessary, those who cannot defend themselves deserve to be exterminated. More importantly, military men understand reality in a way better than white collar workers and university professors do, in addition to having skin in the game.

>>1961 > btw, why do you have an Indian flag now, germanon? Was in India for two weeks, now back. Will have some thoughts on Indian metal scene later. > goatmoon is a nice gateway band. The NSBM scene has some really good bands, and RABM does too. guess the political extremes like to write siq riffz to attract people to their ideologies The issue is the people I have met , who follow these ideologies, repel me off of the music. They usually have no self awareness and illusions of grandeuer. But this criticism applies to lot of music. for example, barely school passouts bedroom fags, writing albums about quantum stuff that they don't understand. Once you start reading lyrics seriously, its very tough to take most bands seriously
>>1989 >carrionshine in the name of all that's kino, thanks for the share >>1990 >visited india which states? did you attend any metal concerts? lol >people repel me off the music true, fans of any genre are obnoxious and I tend to ignore them. I have never paid any attention to the fans of any kind of music thereafter, and that has helped a lot. >Once you start reading lyrics seriously, its very tough to take most bands seriously true dat, most of the metal scene is too retarded in terms of lyrics(they're hardly understandable so idc anyways) >>498 https://piped.kavin.rocks/watch?v=pdAbZXMO8Bg some nice, old school atmospheric BM. it has lyrics about dharma

>>1993 > which states? did you attend any metal concerts? lol I came to India under sad circumstances, dead family member, another one sick, lot of property and financial bs to handle. Had invites to meet friends in Bangalore, Kolkatta and Chittagong, but couldn't. Would love to attend some of the bigger concerts. For the smaller ones, I usually end up helping bands one way or othe. I am tired of seeing most bands make 1 album in collage, then dissipate into the workplace/marriage/NRI etc i.e. oblivion.
>>1993 I love cult of fire, already bought lot of stuff from them. They are from Ukraine if I remember. Lot of good metal from that country, too bad they 404'd themselves. > Thoughts on fan and scene The issue with NSBM people is, I sat and talked to them. Given that I am visibly brown and Indian, they went full retard on me and embarrassed themselves. These same guys also have a famous NSBM band. Yeah. Most bands are retarded. But the few that aren't make it 100% worth it.
>>1994 >before the trend of labeling it RABM Its for le edge teenagers. > Cryptopsy is my favourite band. I really hate the current vocalist, but the first two albums are literally perfect. Cryptopsy of the old was a different band. Raw unhinged hate channelled through musical instruments. Cold hate warm blood is the best desc. New cryptopsy is something else. I can appreciate it for what it is. But yeah, it is not old cryptopsy and I can understand people hating on it.

Sadly too many of these in India too. It always boils down to art vs artist. You can like the art without liking the artist. That is why you find otherwise weak mean making amazing music, that goes onto inspire amazing men.

Ashes and promises share a bond Through the winds of change Words are blown away When visions that should be Are tattooed in your mind The power to let go Is sometimes hard to find The answer cannot be found In the writing of others Or the words of a trained mind In a precious world of memories We find ourselves confined Claws so razor sharp Ripping at the spirit Promises a potential to hurt Is anything real? When forever is to be until Deep inside, in the world of empty words... No escaping from those haunting Empty words... Do you ever feel it? A craving that is so strong To by thought rewind in order to find Expectations that shined through the doubt That soon would turn into the price Of what a word will be worth When tomorrow comes To be and we are left Standing on our own- And seeing what is real... The answer cannot be found In the writing of others Or the words of a trained mind In a precious world of memories We find ourselves confined Claws so razor sharp Ripping at the spirit
>>2089 Death has songs with great lyrics. Their sound is really old school. Like post thrash and very early death metal. So to most newer fans it does not appeal, maybe mallufag won't like it. BUT, the lyrics and the instrumentation is without compare, most modern bands do not come close.
>>2069 Goat Horns was a great listen. Time just passed while listening to this.
>>2084 >>2091 Nokturnal Mortum is really great. Some Goatmoon tracks have a similar vibe, esp off of Finnish Steel Storm and Varjot. >>2081 Lyrics are always secondary imo, and most metal heads agree. >>2090 I regret not being able to get into Death sadly. >>2083 Counterpoint - metal grows with alienation in advanced welfare state countries, like Scandinavia, where traditional institutions (church, monarchy, and family) are dead. >>2093 > Nokturnal Mortum is really great Where can I get the discog ? The public torrents seem to be dead > I regret not being able to get into Death sadly. Doesn't matter. More bands should write thoughtful songs. On the musicianship front though, no complaints. Modern bands do an amazing job. > Lyrics are always secondary imo, and most metal heads agree. YES. Metal is first a meditation in rhythm and violence. All else is secondary. > Counterpoint - metal grows with alienation in advanced welfare state countries, like Scandinavia, where traditional institutions (church, monarchy, and family) are dead. How does that explain Poland, Ukraine, CZ etc? I disagree with the article myself, but I am trying to find a common thread.
>>2103 I can't. Esp grindcore. Very few bands I can make it out. I usually just read the CD sleeve or search the song online.

>>2094 Testing my new wireless setup and this is the first song I chose. The slightly boosted treble gives life to these screams that is something else. Peste Noire is so beautiful ! Anti semitism is also deeply rooted in Europe.
>>2108 Mixed feelings. I appreciate the effort honestly, the production is not bad. The song writing is not terribly original, with it sounding like basic deathcore. The members all look like India SJW's and I can already imagine a conversation with people like these. I think what offends me the most is any lack of creativity. Indian SJW's are wannabe Westerner's. For them to ape music that is about independence, goes against its very ethoes.
>>2116 Yeah. It is fun though. Both the lyrics and the playing. https://piped.kavin.rocks/watch?v=hsXo9_ZdcB4 With time I can understand the lyrics of this song. But that is due to repeated listening. >>2117 > alright, what about death and black? There are definitely bands where I can pick up most of the lyrics, but that is because my brain has learnt to look for specific frequencies and pronunciations. It is the same with learning a new language, initially for example, I couldn't differentiate easily between three south Indian languages, eventually when my ear got trained, I could easily pick the one I learnt apart.
>>2118 >A Wake In Providence - "The Blvck Sun|" This is nice, especially the bass tone. Though again, core is not really my thing, it is too repetitive. Angelmaker does the clicky drums and tight drums aesthetic really well. Their bassist deserves more attention. Brand of sacrifice are using instruments that I would buy for myself, very nice. But not my thing the song, it still goes back to the early 2000's core sound with a more modern production. Ignotum is more interesting musically, than just chug chug breakdown chug. > AVERSIONS CROWN - Xenocide Love the energy, this pumped my heart more. Will save this for exercise. The song writing is actually good on this, there is actual melodic buildup

Luckily Defilement fills that exact void. Great vocals and slow chugs. Wretched tounges has great riffs. Shrine of mallice has epic vocals, the orchestral touch and vocals feel really good. What guitar is the guitarist using ! ? Nylist isn't my thing, but I have a schizo friend who loves to get stoned and listen to exactly this. Distant has a very nice touch on the familiar core style.

RATM always took themselves too seriously. They were a woke band in times more free. SOAD is accused of being clowney, but they managed to be political without taking themselves as seriously. RATM has not aged well for me. SOAD has.
If you want sound quality, go with anything else. TWS's sound way too compressed and low fidelity. Limited sound stage and dynamic range.

Not a core guy, but what a great album.
This is an old complaint of mine and I find myself repeating it, like an uncle complaining about new generations. But it bothers me because it prevents me from enjoying lot of bands. 1. Music that is non resolving. Non resolution is a great way to create tension, but lot of bands never actually resolve it, which makes their music just annoying. Add to this noodling. solos that go nowhere or make any musical point. 2. Meaningless lyrics. Poetic lyrics I fully enjoy and I can understand that sometimes maybe I missed the point. But a lot of bands just throw together dystopian or kazynskian themes or some variant thereof, add random words (even chat gpt generated lyrics would have more to say) and sing them over a song. It is great until you actually understand the words and that they mean nothing. This topic came back to me after listening to new Alkaloid album, numen. The musical composition is superb and does not have the issue of point 1, which is already a huge win for me. The space theme is nice in theory, but it sounds cheesy and bad honestly. The fact that there are mistakes in the physics, just kill the immersion for me.
>>3216 Looked over the footage I took at the concert, looks like I have ADHD and Parkinsons the footage is so shaky and randomly cuts off.
>>3224 Comparing metal from 30 years ago to now there has been a progressive shrinking of diversity. A lot of bands seem to put out the same album. Relying on the same structures, transitions, tone etc. It's become a meme that every band uses Mesa Boogies now.
>>3285 Its true that main stream bands do this, but good metal always exists on the fringes and the bands on fringes have been doing such a good job to be honest. There are multiple releases every year that simply floor me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYpaTrRjQFw Here is an example. Not earth shattering, but really good. >>3284 Its ok. I am interested in the crows. From once a year "rock gigs" to seeing metal bands perform, its been great to see how it is changing. I want it to spread more cities, not just Bangalore and Delhi.
Someone recently tried to get me into the music of Leo. The same person tried to push Vikram to me. Both are to me, wannabe western movies, pushed for Indian audience, like pasta made in paneer gravy. More importantly, just because in some studio, a metalhead trying to make a living, added his own flavour to a lungi/whordu song and some Indian monkeys danced to it, it doesn't make it a good song. Period. Similar case can be made for many other more original takes. For example, the songs in Haddi , while good, are just folk vocals on popular club music. It works once or twice, but when used too many times it is derivative. Another example of this is Sneha Khanwalkar's version of bandeh. Utterly unoriginal and disservice to the original. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=uC0jhJC86f8 On the same topic If your song is good, but has a verse/chorus or just random spraying of bullshit in English, it can fuck off. All chutiyawoodiya's are guilty of this. In the end, I really cannot respect most music produced by chutiya woodiya's after the 80's. Mass market doesn't need to be crass.
>>3517 Someday i might murder Indian music directors, impale them on their own instruments. The sight brings peace to my mind.

>>498 https://redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=6yYvb_skvKs some excellent tracks in here, despite the cringey title
>>498 https://redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=g6vQWURCITs probably the most pumping bollyshit song after aarambh also, it has a linkin park inspired scream, which I found very cool

>>4820 Too many songs ruined like this for me. When we should be doing the opposite. this is another good song ruined by Engrish bullshit. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=ETxQIjhQmTc
https://invidious.private.coffee/watch?v=4tbXisC4Gw0 Not a fan of this genre. But I love the production of this recording so much, it is a pleasure to listen to.
I know this post is useless. Most of you are students so a laptop + pirated software is your best bet. But if any of you go down the hardware route, https://www.amazon.in/Teenage-Engineering-Pocket-Operator-PO-33/dp/B079M56Z4G/ This is a very fun to use unit. And hardware is actually fun, like software that beyond a point gets annoying. >>5020 This song slams so hard. In every way.
>>5020 fuarrk yeah, that's what I'm talking about goes straight into the lifting playlist
https://youtu.be/TCCU0p7CbOw Not my usual cup of tea, but good execution makes simplest stuff sound good.
https://youtu.be/-sZAnD8L0-c LD50 was such a good album.
https://youtu.be/2dBHTz6g5AM Not my kind of music. But good to hear Indian instruments in modern context. With other acts it is usually just samples.
>>5188 Too good. Thanks. Now that Youtube is being useless, this is superb.
https://youtu.be/5U2Tb-1vHeI TO be fair, all djent lyrics except Meshuggah are trash. But this is poserish beyond belief.
>>5329 AS much as I would like to support Indian metal, most of it is cheesy poser shit like this.

>>5448 The first one is quiet nice. Thanks for sharing. >>5450 Is this the original ? Or did the Japs really make a version ? Forgive my ignorance. >>5448 I miss the old school production on Incantation but the buzzsaw guitars boosted around 3-5 Khz (or could by headphones at fault) is a really good change compared to slick mix's we hear today.
>>5483 that was a japanese cover of the INA's original
(154.12 KB 520x390 ovaru.gif)

>>5485 I was watching the original Mowgli yesterday, it was also made by Japs. As was the best Ramayana ever made. They respect our culture more than we do.
>>5488 >Mowgli >Indian culture kek, not even close. Mowgli was written by Rudyard Kipling(white supremacist and colonial genocide supporter), and is full of colonist propaganda.
>>5491 The Indian dub actually follows a story much different than the Kippling book. I saw the Indian version growing up. When I read the original, I was surprised. Sometimes they slip good stuff into the propoganda

As spring starts to enter slowly, it is the season of Love - Songs and I am sharing the most metal love songs that I know of. If you have some good non English metal love songs, please share them as well. 1. Suffocation - Entrails of you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNyeIWkg9e8 Beautiful lyrics such as ´´´ You are so beautiful I bathe myself in the entrails of you Submerge myself in your blood and wear your flesh You are so fucking beautiful You are so beautiful I bathe myself in the entrails of you ´´´ Bonus points to this song for the lyrics being relatively easy to decipher. 2. The heart does grow Kold - Woods of tree's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFr1E-puIu8 Originally a parody , this songs honest and the beautiful music video earn it a place of its own. 3. Deathmask Divine - The black dahalia murder https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fAS5ZZefOA ´´´ Before you sits a broken man, your fragile pinkish heart in hand Peculiar how it can hurt so bad while love is only in the mind I sew the gaping chest work, each thread is made with love The bosom where I would rest my face is covered in your blood ´´´ 4. Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dW6aNAZGTM A gothic classic of the genre, this song has aged beautifully in every way, from its lyrics ´´´ Bared on your tomb, I'm a prayer for your loneliness And would you ever soon come above unto me? For once upon a time from the binds of your loneliness I could always find the right slot for your sacred key ´´´ To its tonal aesthetic which fits so very well. There haven't been bands that do justice to the gothic aesthetic as well and with so much versatility. This band has many good songs , highly recommend Gabrielle as well, which takes the creepy factor up by a notch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxk_UjxLVTs 5. Pig destroyer - Girl in the slayer jacket https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlBEiD2xwGI This is a sad song, but every metalhead can relate to seeing a girl in a black band t shirt and falling hard. This song captures that spirit so well. The vocals are tough to decipher and it is necessary to look them. 6. Type O negative - Love you to death https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xD5No_JRrZw Another old classic. The lyrics are not Peters best work, but the heartfelt singing and excellent musicianship makes this a ballad for the ages. If you have your own recommendations, especially non English. Please share.
Do you track your music listening ? How do you do it ? By youtube subscribe ? By spotify or similar service ? Or do you have a piece of paper ? Or another digitial service ?
>>5642 https://youtu.be/i-rs_OrmFAw Suffocation vocalist singing Entrails of you at his wedding. Über based. I hate that aggressive music hardly exists in India.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi4_rFXNqDY There are lot of good Indian vocalists, but none of them do original things like these guys.

>>498 https://www.yewtu.be/watch?v=hdGtFSg6fW4 decent song, has a sanskrit reference too
>>6133 There is a new Ulcerate track out, check it out.
https://youtu.be/MqnNbPKs3u0 There are rarely any albums that are memorable for me the way that this one was. Because of the delicate brutality, full of nuance and dissonance. Add to that bands that are increasingly digital and fake their performances, use auto tune etc. Very rare to see people who can play their instruments.
nice song yaara
https://www.npr.org/podcasts/528124256/meet-the-composer I recommended this ages ago. I doubt anyone heard it, if you are a music nerd, then strongly recommend this. >>6170 Heh. Cheap gear used to be ear killer shit. It still sounds tiny and compressed, but the default EQ is very usable now. I normally hate using TWS, but cheap TWS are very usable now in emergency use cases. For any serious listening, I still wouldn't.
https://in.bookmyshow.com/events/world-jazz-festival/ET00391247 Very rare to have a good jazz concert in India. Ones in Delhi are just "soft pop" or worst "sufi gayness".
https://youtu.be/Sk3RgTKKo6s Djenty fun band. IF you like big chugs then this is your thing.
>>498 https://www.yewtu.be/watch?v=9s1Jyp4T2pI a nice fusion of jazz and indian classical
>>6332 I liked this more than I though I would. The words fusion especially with Indian, bring back memories of regional songs with forced English sections in them in the name of fusion. This is much more of ambient freestyle jazz jam. Sanskritized music , I like the idea in theory, but in practice it is often forced.

https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=7tMfTk-rYcI&si=BxRgw_OWbdiOYpKi For fans of Igorrr who want a more black metal touch.
>>6790 There is something very democratic about black metal, that someone with a toy synth can make music sitting in their prison cell or a war torn country like Iraq. This is good stuff. Very relaxed that tastefully transitions into heavy in latter part. It all sounds like its done with toy gear and it is all the more endearing for that. >>6798 Did not expect acoustic guitars in a daft punk track !
I still use offline music and audiobooks, using streams only to listen when someone sends me new music to check. I have a few problems with android - Lack of high res playback - Volume meter limited to 15 levels, so volume is never perfect, either too loud or too quiet. other than that , most free music players are fine and good. Still, this problem, especially with bluetooth headphone got particularly annoying for me. I am someone who has never paid for an App in his life. Poweramp has a 14 day trial, I tried it. After fiddling through lot of settings and interface options 100 volume units - Problem solved high res playback So far so good. A feature I did not expect, auto EQ presets for most popular gear. These are meant to give your gear a sound closer to Harmann or other popular curves. This feature is killer. The EQ presets are killer and there are many types of manual EQ and playback options.
>>498 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83OwmyZ2L-U i don't exactly know what this genre is called, but I'm guessing it's black metal with synth/techno elements
>>6809 This is what happens when scheiß Berliners make black metal. It sounds good but i am just biased against the Berliner techno touch
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGoCtJJN8aU Menacing and brutal. Full of finesse.

>>6666 Ooh, actual flacs of old songs. Thanks!
>>498 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zguaS1bstiI good,non-distorted keller synth

https://newalbumreleases.net/209686/sibiir-undergang-2024/ I am not a core fan. But this I can get into. It takes the core elements of core and then filters and evolves it through a melodic prog filter. Simply good stuff.
