Assalamu walaykum /islam/, great to see such a based board. I am a revert who was interested in Buddhism but ultimately found it a waste of time and then finally converted to Islam (Alhamdulillah). Whilst researching Islam, I came across some theories from people saying Dhu al Kifl (AS) the Prophet, might have been Siddhartha Gautama (possibly), as Kifl is/could be arabic for Kapeel the place the Buddha was born. Does anyone know about this in more detail? It would be greatly appreciated Insha'Allah.

This board is probably dead, but it is nice to try- What do normal and more orthodox muslims think of Guenon's traditionalist and metaphysical writings? From a very basic look inside his philosophy and perennialism, it seems to completely fall out of the limits of what is acceptable belief about tawheed and attainment of truth
