For the record on the "Revolutionary SEGA announcement," here's what people know & don't know: https://www.sonicstadium.org/2020/06/sega-has-big-news-coming-up-heres-what-we-know-and-dont/

>>21593 Well at least the reveal, whatever it is, will make this week a little more interesting.
>>21596 Yeah. It's not a new console, it's not SEGA being bought by a console developer, but it is supposed to be on par with the PS5 announcement. What the fuck are they planning?
>>21597 "BREAKING: Sonic is cancelled, forever"
(65.59 KB 400x300 1350842301588.jpg)

>>21596 Yeah, but it'll likely have little to do with Sonic. Hope a bit more leaks out before Thursday. >>21597 >it's not SEGA being bought by a console developer The Sonic Stadium post doesn't necessarily rule that out. Having said that it'd be hilarious if being bought by someone else is their idea of an anniversary celebration. >>21598
>>21591 >Sonic and Tails R Fanmade Radio Drama I had completely forgotten about this. It's been announced more than a month ago, has anything has been mentioned about it since? Also >tfw this thread will likely also be birthday thread

>>21598 Thought you typed "Sony or Sega is cancelled" Speaking of which: >>21597 IS EVERYONE HYPED FOR DOUBLE THE DELAYS!? http://archive.vn/Ueuun
>>21600 To my knowledge it hasn't had any new information since the initial announcement. >>21604 >All aboard the nostalgia train So nothing really changes, then!
>>21605 >>21604 If that ever happens, I hope Miyamoto gets told off and Nintendo or anyone with talent works on an actual crossover game. Former Sonic Team members including Ohshima and Yasuhara have already worked with the Big N.
(26.40 KB 199x284 iizuka.jpg)

>>21602 Nothing good would have come from them anyway, but hopefully this won't extend to Sega. >mfw Iizuka has to delay his master plan due to stuff out of his control again >notto disu shitto agen!
>>21606 I legit wouldn't be surprised if a legit Sonic/Mario crossover game was at least talked about at some point, but before Odyssey it was kinda easy to see how there would be some difficulty in how you fuse Sonic gameplay with Mario gameplay. Unless you pulled a Generations & did Mario versions of stages, as well as Sonic versions of stages
(107.76 KB 380x490 tired_deer.png)

>>21609 Morning! Or good afternoon, now
>>21608 I recall the reason for The Olympic Games being chosen was, wide global appeal and brand name power aside, it provided a "neutral location" for both IPs as Nintendo and Sega couldn't agree on settings for a more traditional crossover game. Miyamoto apparently did want Sonic in Melee but development was too far along for him o be included and so was saved for Brawl.
>>21612 Yup. And Sonic not making it into Melee is what led to that infamous "The Dream has been cast!" fake rumor about Sonic being a secret character in the game.
>>21613 Speaking of which, what was the last fake Sonic game rumor that lasted post-release?

Some new merch for Sonic's 29th anniversary! I love the new image! >>21616 I have no idea, Sega's weird. But man I love me some Segata. >>21627 Thanks, I hate it. The idea is an improvement over the previous iterations and it's clever of them to try to use their geographic distribution to do edge computing, but ultimately it's doubtful if it's actually going to be good enough and it's always going to bring a worse experience to playing video games, and it will likely be another anti consumer push too. I wish this dumb meme would die already, if only game companies would actually focus on making games shit wouldn't be so bad. I hope they don't lose too much money on this.
>>21627 In fairness, this is some major news for Japanese gamers, which is who the article was speaking towards & the insider was Japanese. This announcement ultimately means fuck-all to us, but for Japan? I can see this being a PS5-tier announcement.

>>21625 wew >>21630 Cool even the unused Marble Zone theme was played there along with a few others I don't think many even heard until now. I wonder how much exactly was scrapped for that port. The Sonic 2 port had a sort of reverse situation where it looks like a couple zones that were scrapped (Blue Lake and Rock World Zone) became or influenced Underground and Aqua Lake Zone. It's also funny that I brought up Yuzo Koshiro in the last thread about how good his compositions were and lo and behold he comes out with this.

Sega owns multiple game centers in Japan. As such, it’s not unexpected to see the company come up with Fog Gaming. This just shows how much does Sega/Sammy cares about their arcade and pachinko shit.

>>21572 I know it's old shit but if somebody were to ask me, I would say I prefer '06 over Forces. I know it's a punching bag by meme teens, """""""journalists""""""", game grumps, gg fans, etc. but the game looks and feels like it really tried to be something great or at least good. There is passion and creativity that I can hear and feel in the game but Forces looks so… sterile. So many aspects where it just doesn't look interesting or like anybody tried to really go as far out there as they wanted to. You can compare Sunset Heights to Crisis City, Metropolitan Highway to Grand Metropolis, and probably more. Some of the stages have nice details like the big rocks and all the ships in Egg Gate and stuff like that but there is so much stuff that looks and sounds uninspired and falls short to such an extent it's like they didn't try very much. I don't want to write a text wall and pretend I'm some expert game reviewer and jewtubers have taken the game apart plenty already plus I'm probably just preaching to a choir as it is if anyone actually reads this. It's just that Forces is so disappointing and feels so unambitious that it still bothers me. On the topic of meme teens, I'm so tired of memes and Sonic memes aren't any better. It's just spamming the same line all the time. Gotta go fast, weak, no use, damn, whichever one it is has been beaten to death long ago and just keeps getting beaten. It's not funny to me anymore and irony does nothing. Sometimes Sonic memes are funny when they have effort put into them but I haven't seen it much or maybe I don't notice because I don't bother to look anymore. Just wanted to vent because I hate seeing reddit-tier meme posts and replies on this board.

>>21635 >The idea of Fog Gaming is to connect together Sega owned Game Centers through a Cloud server with a user delay of less than 1 ms pic related >Especially when it comes to maintenance cost, equipment cost, and the electricity bill rising with having machines on at all time This shouldn't be much of a problem if they do things the right way. They could just suspend the cabinets when not in use and wake them up when they're needed, so it'd be even more efficient than IRL operation. Even the screen and controls wouldn't need to be turned on and wouldn't wear out. Having said that if you're going to go this far why not just release the arcade games like normal games and be done with it? What's the difference at this point?
>>21641 >Having said that if you're going to go this far why not just release the arcade games like normal games and be done with it? Can't charge per credit if they do that.
(42.05 KB 480x360 KYvWM9Tec7w.jpg)

https://youtu.be/KYvWM9Tec7w Sonic Paradox decided to make a News Program on the Channel. In my opinion, it could be better, and the Game Gear is a real waste (Isn’t 4980¥ like 50$?). I’d have more worth buying one of those Chinese Portable Multi Retro Consoles.
>>21643 That's cute. Nice to see more content from them.
>>21646 That was a tad cringeworthy >Game Gear micro is just 8cm wide >screen is just 1.15 inches big Are you actually going to be able to see anything in that? Because given the pictures it doesn't seem like you would. >Isn’t 4980¥ like 50$ Yes. These days for that price you might even be able to put together an improvised portable console using as Raspberry Pi or some other SBC, a display and some other stuff. I bet my rings someone already has done something like this and published a tutorial somewhere.

>>21647 >Are you actually going to be able to see anything in that? They're not making a screen magnifier just for fun. The point of the micro stuff is to be pretty and collectable, like stickers or keychains. A very expensive keychain.
(37.69 KB 480x360 00QyL0AgPAE.jpg)

(200.30 KB 360x559 go_.jpg)

>>21650 It's like paying one of those fake crystal-ball psychics 30$ for a charm bracelet they bought at a Chinese Stall Market. Maybe if it had 100 games in 1, but you have to pay 200$ in total to receive a cheap magnifier when you could use that money to pay your rent. Some people are just so dumb, I swear… Speaking of Retro Handhelds, I have my eyes set on the Odroid Go: https://www.hardkernel.com/shop/odroid-go/ A Pirate's Life feels so satisfying sometimes…
>>21653 Looks neat. And it is cheaper than the >>21652 alternative, though it seems the raspberry is more powerful and can run more emulators.
(206.58 KB 600x582 game.jpg)

>>21650 >They're not making a screen magnifier just for fun. But they're not distributing as if it were a required part to use the product either. >>21653 Looks bretty gud. No Snes and Gameboy Advance though? >A Pirate's Life feels so satisfying sometimes… Can confirm. Man, I have such a huge craving for playing Contra now, I've been meaning to do it for years. Last time I've played it must have been in the 90s and I still remember some playthroughs.
>>21656 >they're not distributing as if it were a required part to use the product either. And that's the dead giveaway of why this is to be treated as just another collectable item that just happens to let you play games on it. If people decide to buy these to actually play the games, then they'll be sorely disappointed. They'll be way better off emulating or using any of the alternatives being posted. In my opinion, this is all a little scummy from Sega, if they wanted to do it right they would've sold a gamegear mini with a reasonable screen size, and it could still be designed to aim collectors and stuff.

(54.16 KB 550x470 ICE_Tower_Cooler_Pi.jpg)

>>21656 You also have the appropriately named Odroid-Go Advance It's intended for more heavy duty games all the way up to PSP (and it's always sold out, thus expensive thanks to import shipping prices). You also have the RetroFlag GPi Case with GPiMate. It's capable of running the RPi CM3+ mini board. But combined, it's all needlessly expensive. A Pi 4 (with the iCE Tower) is a great choice, but I'm looking for something you can actually carry around. >>21657 The sad thing is, they wouldn't sell it if there weren't people who really are stupid and empty enough to buy it. I mean, that Old Nigerian Prince Scam earned the perpetrators over 12 billion dollars. It's not that I hate humanity, it's just that I don't have many reasons to love it.
>>21657 >If people decide to buy these to actually play the games, then they'll be sorely disappointed Sounds like it's not going to be well received. >>21658 >It's intended for more heavy duty games all the way up to PSP Damn, that's sweet! >iCE Tower That thing is huge, it even looks like it could keep a PC processor cool. >>21659 >Do those things really run that hot? Yep… The Pi 4's not only especially known for that, but the iCE Tower's also the best cooler for it. Only recently did they start making cases for it, but you need a 3D Print Shop to make them (I can only link you the models): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4249203

>>21664 P.S. A bit of long-term consumer advice. If you're going to buy an SD card, make sure it's a Max Endurance one. They can last longer than any Hard Disk (and they're not that expensive).
>>21664 >>21665 Thanks for the tips techanon

>>21663 I've heard that before. >>21665 I've been meaning to look for high durability SD cards but I looked those up and there was no clear specification for wearing. I really hate when manufacturers try to obscure basic facts like that and make it a pain in the ass to figure out what kind of product you have in front of you.
>>21667 >They're not clear about how long it can last. Lmfao Read the page on the site again dumbass, they're crystal clear that it can last at least 13.5 Years. https://shop.westerndigital.com/products/memory-cards/sandisk-max-endurance-uhs-i-microsd
>>21668 That's not how you specify memory wear limits, that specification has no meaning, it's like saying that a brand new shoe will last you 2 years. The right way to specify it would be in minimum guaranteed write cycles per memory cell or minimum guaranteed amount of information written that the card can withstand, or something to that extent.
>>21669 Regardless… Unless you know of something better, this is the best that you get. But I’m not here to tell you what to buy, I’m just suggesting.

>>21734 Think of it like this, this is the last few days until we get some more info on the new game. >>21738 >this is the last few days until we get some more info on the new game Everyone is expecting them to release info on the new game next week, and it makes total sense but they haven't really confirmed anything and it's going to be hilarious if they don't end up doing it. On the other hand, if they do, I feel there's a lot of expectations and it's going to be hard to meet them. >tails' channel and the jpsonic Yeah, I follow them too, but I feel I'm still missing a lot. The nice thing about the JPSonic account is that they cover a lot of minor fandom things, like stuff from the VAs and other people from the series and Sega, which I'm missing from the western side since most of the remaining bigger accounts report just official announcements and bigger news stories for the most part.

>>21741 Jesus Christ what's happening this year, everything is shaking up. I have no idea how to feel, lol, I wasn't expecting this, though considering he was showing up less and less on the usual PR places you'd expect him to be it's not that surprising. He hasn't updated his Linkedin yet, I wonder what he'll move on to do and how he'll influence the series from now on. Hopefully he'll not be an actual airhead memer like he's sometimes painted as. I guess it could be a good change, the Sonic social media has gotten quite stale over the years and it's worn people out, but personnel changes always have me apprehensive as no one is without controversy and there's just so many awful people rearing their heads everywhere and I don't want any of them coming close to the franchise.
>>21743 Well if it makes you feel any better, his replacement is Katie and she's been working with Aaron for a year or so now, she's probably got the hang of stuff, I don't think things are going to be any different on the social media aspect. Now, what I'm really curious about is what kind of job will he be doing from now on. I always remember that, despite of all the dumb things he has done with the memes and the egoraptor shilling, the guy did help with Mania and tried to fix Forces' characters. Maybe in a position with more power he can do more to improve the franchise.
>>21741 >promoted Is that actually good for him though? My two main thoughts are: >he may not be happy in his new position, even if it comes with better salary and perks >his promotion is SoJ being bitter / angry. They promoted him so that they can get a Twitter runner who will obey their orders and simultaneously punish Mememan by putting him in a position where they can force him to quit. I've heard this is a somewhat common Japanese business practice I hope my suspicions wrong and that this is genuinely good for all involved. Godspeed Mememan
>>21745 >his promotion is SoJ being bitter / angry. They promoted him so that they can get a Twitter runner who will obey their orders and simultaneously punish Mememan by putting him in a position where they can force him to quit. I've heard this is a somewhat common Japanese business practice I doubt this is the case, things have changed since 2015 and his job got a lot more neutered and corporate over time, so I can't think of a reason the Japanese would be angry at him.
>>21745 I think you might be looking too much into it, anon. If anything, Sega is more than satisfied with Aaron's work, otherwise they wouldn't let him do dumb stuff like that Big music video.

Even if everything is slow, this is probably one of the most important times for sonic team/sega. Every sonic tuber does one basic decent point, with the sonic movie being a success, there's now more eyes on sonic then since 2002-2004. Thanks to that, if Sega makes a another forces then that will lead the new people to feel meh and look away, while older fans will start lose faith on sonic and with a chance of leaving. I don't think SONIC WILL DIE at all, Sonic is like 8chan, a garbage dog, even when everyone says he died, he'll still be around out there, running and pissing; But the outcome will just lead to sonic being in more years of slow, sour, mediocrity, and it would be more riskier for sonic to be in that state then sega making a sonic unleashed-scale game. This is the time where Sega needs to put some faith in sonic team and for sonic team to not fuck up, or we're all be back at square one and sonic will lose the potential to grow it's audience in number. There still be new people thanks to the movie, but a decent amount will be lost if the next game is meh with no ads to them (if we ignore the sonic movie's sequel) >>21748 thanks
>>21753 It's amazing how they're wasting the post-movie hype. There's absolutely nothing pointing to a new release right now, and it's been this way for months. But to be fair if they linked the ama in the sonic account, it would be 2x times the shitposts and most go to sonic's twitter for said shitposts, so just shoving ads down would seem disingenuous for others

Considering the new social media team has been in charge of the social media account for months and he hasn't really said anything about his new position, I don't understand what prompted him to communicate this now. Maybe it's related to the stream next week? It feels dumb otherwise. >mfw they totally got in trouble for teasing Mighty Number 9 kek. Too bad they're not going back to that kind of style, it was a lot of fun, made the account seem original and organic and not corporate (which is what they were trying to achieve actually), and honestly the people they teased deserved it, which weren't even that many. Sonic Revolution is going on this weekend. They couldn't do a physical convention because of corona-chan, so they decided to do it online. There's an online stream and some of the guests could be interesting to watch, among them there are VAs from the series, people from the comics, and even one of the actors from the movie is joining. >Stream https://www.twitch.tv/sonic_revolution_ >Schedule pic related or http://www.sonicrevolution.net/schedule/ The comic panel is going to start in some 7 minutes.
>>21785 Am I the only one who doesn't really finds this interesting at all? All these big names are cool and all, but the only thing I could see being somewhat interesting to hear out of this are the comics panels, but IDW has gotten kind of boring, and I have never read Gigi's comic. Maybe also SAGE's? But then again, It's not like I can't just follow the updates on the games that are coming up for this year's edition on the internet. Am I getting too old for this?
>>21785 >mfw they're all silverfags >Jon has been trying to push for a Sonic Universe line in IDW but IDW won't allow it unless there's (((fan demand))) >Sega has a much bigger hand in designing the new characters and other details of the comic book (merchandise, logos, etc). The comic team has to deal with SoJ, SoA, trademark teams, etc now. >Jon had to remove the Dreamcast mark on the Dreamcast controllers on his cover and replace it with a similar looking icon. Apparently SoJ is a huge pain in the ass to deal with. >>21786 I see where you're coming from, it's mostly the same for me, but I think it's very valuable to have these kinds of events. I like that the community can come together for them, I like that these people would take time out of their weekend to talk to us and give us inside scoop on things, and given that it's more informal than a press release or an official interview you can get tidbits that you otherwise wouldn't. It's nice, and the comic panel was fun.

But according to their page there's only one event planned for today at 10AM PT and it's just a Marvel thing. I can't actually find any info of the 12PM PT event. <IGN Summer of Gaming Streams - 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET >What It Is: IGN's June 24 stream includes the reveal of an unannounced game, as well as new trailers for Dreamscaper and Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One. With that said, I suppose his voice matches the story direction for the games he was in but I still hold my opinion. But with my complaints about Griffith's voice in mind, for those reasons I always felt like Drummond perfected the role towards the end of his time as Sonic. The higher pitch in his voice that he added worked for, well, a cartoon hedgehog but his voice sounded cool while he was at it. Drummond's voice, to me, perfectly captured Sonic's physical appearance and personality. Did you just want to hear people praise Griffith again, anon?

>>21924 It's the kind of news everyone was waiting for. >>21927 Well, unfortunately for Sticks, she's from a spin-off series that started with one of the worst games in the franchise and console generation and whose show ended after two seasons. Why it'd obviously be Jewel in a museum management simulator type of game! > I'm talking skills and special abilities, and how well would it adapt to the speedy gameplay. Probably Tangle because of her tail, her abilities are a good match for the level design of Sonic games and she would be able to fit into one with ease. Whisper could work too but it would not be so straightforward and tweaks might be needed to the level design and gameplay to accommodate her, hopefully without resulting in a gameplay experience like Buddy in forces because that would just suck. Ultimately if they do put them in a game I doubt they'd pick just one of them, they always put them together.

Would you lads be interested in an /icup/ team? Just curious.
I'm only making this comment because I want a reaction, and this is purely my opinion, but with a franchise like Sonic, you can't really exploit any real SJW propaganda. Why, you may ask? Because they not only already milked the #34 of him dry on DeviantArt, but nearly every rendition of Sonic is either an embodiment of 90's Californian Youth, or an Ill-tempered Rebellious College Graduate (StC). Basically, he's already beloved even by SJWs around the planet because he represents everything they admired about "freedom" when they were kids. I'm just making this comment because I want people to tell me what the dumb part about it is (also because there's no point in lying), and because I'm in a mood to discuss why I'm wrong about this. If you can describe him in a better way, I'm all ears…
>>21946 Fun Fact: The same man who plays Segata Sanshiro was also literally the first Power Ranger/Kamen Rider "Takeshi Hongo".
>>21955 I don't quite understand what type of reaction you're expecting to get from your post, or what does "sjw propaganda" have to do with the rest of it. >>21956 Interesting. Sounds like the man is a national icon to the japanese people and weebs alike.
>>21955 The dumb part is you specifically talking about SJW propaganda. Sonic is already beloved by all groups for representing a barebones struggle of freedom vs. tyranny and right vs. wrong, so trying to use him for any propaganda only results in less credibility. Also, how is StC Sonic an "Ill-tempered Rebellious College Graduate?" He's just a teenager exemplifying British forms of attitude.

Well, I finally remembered to play Sonic Utopia now that I have a better rig that lets me play games and I'm really glad I did. I'll summarize the sperging that plenty of jewtubers and probably some subhuman """""journalists""""" did about the game and just say that, if Sonic Team/Sega is going to throw Classic Sonic shit at me constantly, I want it to be like this. This fixes just about all the problems I ever had with the classic games and even the modern games. Sonic feels good to control and accelerate, I can actually see ahead of me, he doesn't slow down when he jumps (fucking finally), the homing attack works beautifully and works as a double jump nicely, and I can finally stop/start rolling on command. It controls beautifully. And yes, I know getting classic sonic stuff like this is unrealistic, how clever of you to point it out.

>>22116 >did Sticks sneak into Amys wardrobe? Oh damn it seems she did
>>22114 Well, autistic people seem to be the ones to invest the most amount of time online, It isn't a surprise that many times they're seen as the most prominent fans of the franchise, but what really helped to cement this way of thinking was CWC. I personally try to avoid interacting too much with autistic people beyond one or two close friends, because they sure can be annoying when you try to discuss or just simply talk with them about something they're passionate about.

>>22138 >Do I need some sort of infograph to read it Not really, there aren't any side-comics, sidestories are all contained on the comic itself, and it was made to be read from strip to strip. Just start from 1 and go on, until issue 184. That's the last one with a new story published officially, from then on they're all reprints with new covers until issue 223, the end of the comic in print form. After that, if you feel like it, you can catch up with the ongoing online continuation, which is "unofficially official" considering the fact that many of the original artists and writers also worked on it and gave it their blessing.

I don't think I'll be able/allowed to have a job (especially since it sounds like every single employer is only interested in communication skills and could care less about how well you can do what you were ostensibly hired for), and I'm ineligible for neetbux because my parents didn't have me diagnosed early enough. On the flip side, the whole coronavirus thing seems to be causing society to be reshaped in my image, so if things don't collapse outright maybe I'll be okay after all. I'm not really ecstatic about that whole thing though; I know the stereotype is that we can't feel empathy, but I'm still unhappy that it's hurting normalfags so badly.

bump also SOON.
I'm happy Amy Rose doesn't have a sexualized design like Rouge the Bat or Sally Acorn. I'm sad because she'll get ignored for not being coom bait since being a coomer is more acceptable these days
>>22181 >not sexualized >literally has a skirt so short her panties are in full-view every time she jumps
>>22182 she's still not that sexy though. most people who find her attractive are already sonic fans to begin with while non sonic fans will say rouge and sally made them furry.
>>22183 Most non-Sonic fans don't even know who Sally is. And most are in denial of wanting to fuck Amy because of this modern bullshit of thinking sexualizing fictional characters equates to pedophilia.
>>22192 When she's meant to be 12 years old, of course it's going to be creepy.
>>22193 It's a fictional character. She's not real.
>>22194 That's Japanese logic. Drawing a naked baby shouldn't be any less different from having a photo of a naked baby for the same intent (apparently, their laws think otherwise, that's why lolicons are a thing). If you think naked drawings of children are justified just because they're "not real", then you really need lots of help. Can anybody else tell him that I'm right?
>>22195 No, because you're not right. People who have a gore fetish are not psycho serial killers in denial, because it's a fantasy. People with a gender TF fetish are not trans girls in denial, because it's a fantasy. If you can accept that, but can't accept that fapping to Amy has literally no correlation to finding actual 12yos attractive (there are actual psychological studies that can confirm this), then I'm afraid you're the one who needs lots of help, because you clearly have some kind of complex going on.
>>22195 I agree, it's especially more evident when you're attracted to characters like Cream. I find people who are into gore and other "fictional" nonsense equally or more disturbing. At a time we're gonna have to call a spade a spade
>>22195 You really have no arguments whatsoever and are trying to get something shut down for no other reason than because you don't like it. You'd think normally people would stop and rethink what they're saying when they realize they're comparing something that doesn't exist to a living breathing human or when they have to resort to comebacks like >That's Japanese logic. but somehow it's become hip to ignore logic and pretend everyone else should acknowledge the same fiction others create as truth. In any case, this topic is a can of worms that every time it's brought up on imageboards it derails threads for days at a time, I suggest moving the discussion to some other board where it's more appropriate.
>>22198 I mean this is 8ch and this is more extreme group than the people who are on 4chan. Also your morals are considerably different for a multitude of cultural and social reasons you never seem to address during these arguments. You're trying to come across as objective to that anon but you're clearly on a certain side of the fence because of these factors and you being on 8ch. It's clear.

(260.13 KB 1239x1135 m4gzak4f4sn11_1_.jpg)

So the argument is that Amy is not sexually mature and that Sonic character ages are analogous to normal human ages. Ok, so let's go by sheer logic to try and debunk this. We know that both Sonic and Shadow are as mature as they're going to get, since while Shadow is designed to be at peak physical condition, and is literally 65 years old, he and Sonic are the same height. So we can assume that for male hedgehogs, 110cm is about as tall as they get, therefore they are mature at that point. Amy is only a few centimeters shorter than this, which would make sense given she's female, therefore shorter. This is all on top of Amy not only having fully developed breasts, but being the same height as Sally (barely "legal" but still an adult, last I checked). Also, she lives alone, is perfectly independent, and nobody during the entire series across all media (except under Penders) has addressed or questioned her lack of legal guardian at all (unlike Tails, where this aspect of his character is occasionally brought up). I'm expecting more than a couple people to reply to this and call it hoop-jumping, stretching, or some other dismissive Twitter term, but bottom line: Amy, for all intents and purposes, is an adult, and the ages are only really there to make these characters seem more relatable to real-life children. So, she passes the Harkness test. Are we done here?

>>22205 He wasn't in suspended animation. That's pure speculation on your part. The reason he isn't an old man is because he's immune to any disease, including aging.
>>22206 Aging ain't a disease.
>>22207 It literally is. >The Truth of 50 years Ago >当初人間の分を超えるとして、ジェラルドはこの要請を頑なに拒否していたようである。 >Gerald seems to have stubbornly rejected this request at first, for it exceeded man's limits. However, the one who gave him an excuse to realize this plan that was supposed to end then and there as it was an influential person's nonsense, was (ironically enough) his beloved granddaughter Maria Robotnik. Maria, who was suffering from NIDS: Neuro Immunodeficiency Syndrome, a disease that is still considered difficult to treat today, continued to be treated at the ARK's medical research facility, but was not expected to recover. Gerald was so frustrated by this that he decided to overcome the intractable disease by studying immortal life. It is documented that the research was carried out in absolute secrecy even within the ARK, and was named "Project Shadow" because of the irony of creating a shadow (which cannot exist in this world).
>>22208 That doesn't call aging a disease, though.
>>22209 The eventual degeneration of cells can technically be classified as a disease, yes. But that's semantics anyway. The point is Shadow is immortal. As in, he is immune to the effects of aging. And that's why he's not super-old. Shadow was in storage, not "suspended animation". He's not Captain America.

I want to know how a NiGHTS sequel would look like with them reunited instead of just Iizuka and Hoshino like with Journey of Dreams. Whether or not that character will return, I hope both Balan and Mania will inspire Iizuka and the team to do their best for the 30th birthday game or whatever is they're working on. And that Balan will turn out better than than Rodea the Sky Warrior's situation between Prope, XSeed, and NISA. I can't help but feel a little pity when creators break out of the companies that they became famous with and then not quite reach the same level of success, but maybe that's just me. Perhaps it's a matter of taste, but I'd rather see a Vanquish/God Hand sequel or anything rather than The Evil Within games Shinji Mikami made at Bethesda and Itagaki's game "The Devil's Third" by Valhalla Studios infamously got screwed over, to say nothing of two other notoriously botched kickstarter "revivals". At least Iga got of that unscathed, for the most part.

>>22234 >Devil's Third I'm still sad about how the game came out. I had hope for that game. I even ripped the original trailer from YouTube to watch offline every other day. After the turd that was NG3, I felt I was still safe in having a game that would still appeal to me like Ninja Gaiden 2 did something I sometimes wish I could do with Sonic games . I'm sort of happy with the Nioh games but it's just not the same. Why can't things ever go right for the genres and games I like?

>>22240 >Wake me up when they do a proper Marza Sonic movie. This. No Sonic movie will ever live up to the unreleased Marza animated film they teased us with for years. I simply can't bring myself to just say "oh well" and eat the shit served to me. I know the Sonic fanbase is beaten, broken, and starving for new Sonic content, but you guys really need to demand better than just an "acceptable" level of quality.

Pic related, shit in the normalfags face if you can. Go stupid Go crazy, or just try to be yourself and ignore society words if you feel that bad. Already have been doing that for years, more people are doing that now. >>22202 Good for him, although i feel meh since the gameplay seem to be a basic 3d platform (like Hat in Time/Super Mario Odyssey) from what i've seen
>>22241 >Demand better Is that not what the fanbase has been doing? Seems like a lot have given up trying to voice their grievances since they go unheard or outright ignored
>>22252 Given the immense praise the movie got? No, clearly not. The fanbase seems to be happy with "good enough".
>>22253 To add to what you're saying, although I haven't seen the movie, I've seen a lot of praise for the IDW comic but I don't think the comic's that good to warrant it. I've always thought it was weird.
>>22254 That too. It doesn't even come close to the heights of the preboot. In fact, I'm not even sure how good it is compared to the reboot.
>>22255 >preboot >heights You say that like it had more than a small hadnful of standout moments and characters.

https://invidio.us/watch?v=kWaJvvHqBc4 >>22236 The Razor's Edge re-release helped in making it more palatable by adding back weapons, the girls, trials, returning boss fights and difficulty whilst changing some other things under the hood like Steel On Bone, but it should have had a much better send off from the beginning. >>22238 That one hurt too. ESPECIALLY after Stealth stuck his neck out when Sega tried to do them dirty by sticking Denuvo in Mania. >>22257 The comic was at its most interesting and entertaining when Ian Flynn had free reign to do literally whatever the fuck he wanted, and he didn't have to do any bullshit worldbuilding since previous writers had already done it for him. It didn't always result in greatness, but it was better than the soulless mediocrity we have now.
>>22252 I love this picture
>>22263 I agree, Ian Flynn was never a great writer but the stuff post -reboot (and pre-reboot) archie churned out was more exciting than the soulless garbage we have in IDW.
